I’ve watched that game several times. We had them on toast. Fritsch and TMac kick very gettable shots and we’re in the Prelim. Wasted opportunity, we’ve now got GWS, Geelong and Carlton pushing hard to be better than us. The next 2 weeks will give us a guide but this year above others we can’t afford injuries and we have to go top 4 and get a QF at the G. Saturday night feels like a massive opportunity to get a very important 4 points and show the comp who’s still the boss. I will say that we’re performing far better than I thought we would 8 weeks ago.

I’ll be fffing livid if we finally have an A grade father son and he heads to a franchise coached by Hardwick. That’s like waking up from a nightmare into a nightmare.

This list needs to win another, we all know it. You only need to look back to last years finals to see what a wasted opportunity looks like. We had the Pies on toast and forgot the butter.

I watched Carey’s North Melbourne in my 20’s, they were awesome. Carey V Neitz was a fantastic duel. They’ve got as much reason to exist as anyone else. The AFL has more than enough if they need help. I’d bring Fitzroy back, add Tassie and have 20 teams. The hipsters would flock to the Roy’s and the comp would flourish. And Fock me there’s a few around here who forget our club voted to become the Dawks. We’ve been one of the leagues biggest basket cases in years gone by, would have you folded us?? Short memories around here.

How many times does the club need to say that McAdam is due longer minutes at Casey before returning before people stop selecting him V the Cats?

What would you say is the small forwards key role? Clearly it was originally as a crumbing option but it’s evolved to be so much more. When the coaches analyse your match performance what do they impress upon you the most…..goals, defence, 2 way running, finding space, crumbing??? What would you put down as the area you’ve improved in the most and also the area that needs most improvement? Also congratulations on working your butt off to make it and then clearly continuing to improve as the years go by. I take my hat off 👍

I will never respect a side that gets the draw they get. Sides are forced to play them on a 2 bit public school oval that nets them a ridiculous sum of money. They have a massive unfair advantage.

It’s Richmond and the Saints that are about to suffer. They’re not a lot of high draft picks left come the Tassie side. I hope we manage the next 2 drafts perfectly so we can ride out 4-5 years.

Decidedly pessimistic view GTG. Max will destroy them in the ruck, it’s just up to Max and the kids to take advantage of that dominance. Oliver has clearly been playing hurt and it appears Viney may of been as well. Hopefully they’re closer to their best as if they are we’re every chance.

Collingwood were the masters of this style of play and we shut them down on KB with some ease. We should get over them.

If we can maintain a relatively injury free few months and get McAdam (Carlton), Bowey (Carlton) and Salem back in, then follow that up with the return of Melksham (If he can find some form) we're in a strong position to tackle the back half of the season. Add the likely return to full fitness and form of Petty and the possible introduction of Fullarton or even Verrall and who knows what can happen. Just remember if we can squeeze into the top 4 the finals footy we're likely to see will be contest heavy and that's our one wood when we're fit. It's all about the fitness this year even more so than normal with the amount of top teams.

Don't get suspended

The club has no doubt watched plenty of SVR. He may even get picked. BBB has recently shown he's valuable back up if fit.This will be his last year, even I've stopped bagging him and the club's handling of his contract. Some on here are like a dog with a bone except even a dog eventually finishes chewing.
