Ed Langdon the (Inside) Midfielder
The running of the bulls did win us a flag but I like this. Langdon, Rivers and Kossie really add something to the mix around Oliver, Trac and Viney. Langford another inside bull. Sharp, Windsor and Lindsay outside. Roles to be also be played by Kynan Brown, Bowey, Laurie and Woey. Like the balance we now have in the mids.

PRESEASON TRAINING & COMMUNITY CAMP
Tracc drove one of the mini buses in Mansfield. He certainly wasn’t sulking in the backseat and not talking to anyone as a few on here would believe. Time to move on guys.

Welcome to Demonland: Aidan Johnson
He has just played a season after having serious knee issues for 2 and 1/2 years. I take it we got the Richmond doctor to check him out before we called his name.

Just cannot ignore these hands. Mids are dime a dozen. Hands like these don’t come around often. I’d be grabbing him at 5.

2024 Phantom Drafts
The drums are certainly starting to beat for Tauru. His hands look super special to me. Play him forward. Yes please.

PRESEASON TRAINING: Friday 15th November 2024
Petty training with the backs. Must be going to play Tauru forward.

Max Flags New Young Leadership Group
Most interesting bit of that to me was the reference to Pert gone and clean slate that brings. Interesting to hear the captain mention the effect of a boardroom change. I am thinking the leaders in the footy department are much happier with the recent changes.

0.46 - refuses to kick? To me he has a look up field saw nothing. Brought himself a little bit of time. Handballed off. Decent play. Think you are being pretty harsh here with Smith.

Wow. One grabber that is for sure. Hands just look awesome. He can just float at times. Check out that mark at the 2min mark. He slides out of the drop zone to jump back at it. Looks special to me. If Lalor, FoS, Draper are gone I’d take him at #5 and play him forward. Take Joe Berry at #9 for run and carry.

Clayton Oliver
I think we are need to acknowledge that Oliver would have preferred to leave at a point in time. It couldn’t happen as the cats needed to offer overs/market value for us to tick it off. They wanted him for unders. No deal was ever going to happen but he would have taken it. Anyway it didn’t happened and we all move ahead together and move on from this. He is back on board and hopefully he gets back to his level. He is paid to get back to his level.

I think the unfortunate situation here for Dirk is the move to the Dees gives him more job security ie 3 year deal. Currently 12 months left at GWS and that could be him done at the end of 12 months if he doesn’t play any AFL next season, gets injured ect. Dees are keen now by who knows this time next year. He really needs to say to GWS - ok you are going to hold me to my contract but I am fighting for my career here. I need a few more years for security and to prove myself. Trade me to the Dees or offer me a contract extension. This loss of security of remaining at GWS is the unfortunate situation.

2024 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Looking like a good year to have pick 5. Thank you Jack Higgins!

Bombers would have to push bk to save burning 9 on Kako you would think. I guess they can keep it until draft night and if a bid comes for Kako they can live trade 9 then. Imagine we bid on Kako at #5, and they still hold 9. Before they match the bid they live trade pick 9 to us for a F1 and 28.

Contracted so I guess they can play hard ball. Playing hard ball means they may in fact rate him despite not playing him. If they rate him he might actually be ok. If we think he is ok and we want him I guess we need to pay up given he is contracted.

No. But I’d have a look at Marchbank.

Malcolm Rosas Junior
I thought he was getting ironical cheers from the hawks fans Friday night? Not sure Dimma is losing much sleep over letting him go?

Always liked Rosas but the fact that Dimma doesn’t want him probably says it all.

Christian Petracca
Trac made a stand and this may bring about change. We finished 14th. Change is needed. If you cannot see what has happened in the last few weeks with Trac as a positive I am not sure what to say. Pleasing to see him attend the AFLW today.
