So Nairn preferred position is mid and wing. He plays forward most of the year and kicks a number of goals which include a bag of 7 in the nationals. Plays mid and wing in the last 2 games of season and racks up 30 touches both times. I can see the appeal. A yes from me.

I like Twomey but lets be honest, if was a good talent spotter he would have been snapped up by a club long long ago.

So Cal changed his ranking on Kozzie (from nowhere to 30) late in the piece because he got wind JT was keen on him. Says it all really.

It is good to be back in the draft at 7 & 8. I have watched a few highlight reels and read the talk about a weaker draft/academy selections. At this stage of the 2019 draft the media types had Jackson rated 15-20 and Kossie was 50+. I am sure JT will be all over it.

Can anyone confirm if Craig Cameron was the list manager that traded pick 2 to Freo for Lachie Weller? On a side note, I saw Craig Cameron holidaying at Ocean Grove a few years back. Under his reign GC certainly has done some interesting deals with the cats. Probably just a coincidence where he holidays.

Great post.Exactly my thoughts. Out of the GC and the Dees I know where he can get more midfield minutes. Hopefully that is why he met with King. All he is at the moment is a half forward and don’t think this changing anytime soon, especially with Trac coming on board at GC. Time to change ships Bailey. Come home Bailey. We have one Bayley but no Bailey.

Just get Bucks. Get Caulfield. CEO sounds good. Steve Smith. Finally feel like we are getting serious as a footy club.

I believe Longmire would have sounded it out but ultimately told we were on a different horse. Didn’t rule it out early in the week but has now. Would only tarnish his reputation to put his hand up and not get it. Feeling Buckley has been sounded out quite a while back.

He made finals in his first 2 years when he took over a ‘premiership list’. How long does a coach still have a ‘premiership list’ for? If he coaches the Dees next year is he still coaching a ‘premiership list’?

Bucks for mine. Has the profile we actually need. We are a small club we need someone like Bucks. He might get us back on the map. His effort to make the 2018 GF was phenomenal. 2019 lost a prelim as massive favourites. 2020 smashed in a semi. After that pies were done and he was gone in 2021. I understand what you are thinking but a club cannot outbid them with a higher pick as naturally if the pick is higher it has already been used.

Great first up game and looks a real player. Looks like he belongs. Our first round pick the year is with Essendon and if we have a bad year it could end up being a high pick. Always a worry. However as we took Lindsay with their pick I think we come out winners regardless. Go Dees!

Would be disappointed if a debutant is the sub. But looks more likely than not.

The biggest problem with our forward line is that JVR and Disco are not 5 years older. We are relying on two keys that are too young. Aiden Johnson looks like the perfect fwd 2nd ruck to me. Some of his efforts in the ruck against Freo were just sheer brute and determination. Perfect. We appear not to want to play AJ, Disco and JVR in the same team atm. Hopefully this changes and JVR can spend all his time in the fwd 50.
