  1. If it was Jakovich I'd read that as 20 goals and a 3 week suspension.
  2. We've (maybe) got this.
  3. Jeez the ARC loves Carlton.
  4. Oh what a shame to see Cripps hurt himself after launching his knee between naughton's shoulders.
  5. Here's a thought, rather than trying to play Fritsch up the field, why not play him where he plays his best footy? While we're at it, maybe we could play Lever as an interceptor rather than as a 1-on-1 defender? Also, how about we play Langdon as... you guessed it... a [censored] wingman? Riv off half back maybe? List goes on. Put it this way, if I'm building a house I don't employ a finish carpenter to do my framing. Nor do get a sparky to do my plumbing. Etc.
  6. What an f-stick. I get it. We lost. Badly. Hopes for the season getting shaken, etc. But why berate the players like some dead-set Bombers or Richmond nuffy?
  7. If there is a silver lining it may be that this year most of our squad got through most of the preseason, particularly the intensive running work earlier on. In 2019 we had a lot (11 or so?) players missing chunks of the preseason rehabbing surgeries, etc. While we've lost Mcadam and AMW for the season, both have been replaced on our list, and neither were best-22 locks (though AMW was threatening a solid year, sadly). So hopefully when the Kozzys, McVees, Melkys, Kolts, etc. return, we'll have a reasonably healthy list with a decent fitness base. But like 2019, if we run off the rails early and confidence goes, it could be ugly. Ugh.
  8. Apparently played pretty well, improving as the game went on and had a strong last qtr.
  9. Wow. Goodwin: "I know it's going to be a story, when you're two weeks in and you haven't seen the change you want." ...and you haven't seen the the change you want. ...haven't seen the change you want. ...the change you want. I don't want to get too far into reading too much into things, but this sounds a lot like a frustration that what they planned and were trying to implement this season isn't working. This and the Gawn thing, which goodwin actually went into twice. Surely a presser Goody would want to have a do-over on?
  10. Unless he and a few others came down with Turner's gastro, I'm hoping it can remain private, whatever it might be.
  11. I knew we were [censored] today when in the 1st qtr JVR led and what should have been marked bounced off his chest.
  12. The former was delisted 2000 years ago, the latter lined up for Casey today. 🤔
  13. Going above and beyond!
  14. I'm looking forward to seeing what Tatonka can do for Casey tomorrow morning.
  15. Never underestimate the subconscious bias influenced by a 50,000-strong mob baying for your blood.
  16. I swear I typed the "k" and have been cruelled by an overzealous autocorrect!
  17. Oscar Baker FFS
  18. Back on the day they'd have to have their score reset to zero at that point.
  19. Throw Cripps much?
  20. So fewer behinds for Carlton, then?
  21. Or Trojan
  22. Ha-hah, yes, me too. Good times. 🔴🔵🏆
  23. I believe the previous post was saying that four of Fritta's 6 Premiership goals were kicked while the game was on the line.
  24. And I so wish he'd done his classic run wide of the man on the mark and really roost thst shot on goal from 50 in the last - his conversion rate on those is solid.
  25. They would have been a very handy 4 points. We really ran out of legs in the last. Delighted for the positive signs from our debutants. XL in particular looks fantastic.
