  1. Mate if you can score some good oil of the quality you got last time us Demonlander's would be mighty grateful. I'll have to be quick on my copy and paste though as last time you deleted some of your 'scoops' before I could add them on. Go HH you good thing!
  2. I don't disagree, both players are on the fringe, but I think people on here are really down on both of these players simply because they haven't come in and starred. Whilst I admit they haven't had the initial impact I would have hoped, I think Michie has started to settle and play the role the footy department needs him to and Newton will be all the better after another year settling into the club, his role and the gameplan. Riley couldn't win enough of the ball, nor be the damaging player we needed him to be. Michie and Newton are very much in the frame of being potentially solid contributors.
  3. Dammit I was just starting to consider this trade as something good.
  4. It's just a matter of working out a trade: http://www.afl.com.au/news/2015-09-29/demons-offer-to-bomber-jake-melksham-is-too-good-to-refuse
  5. Gold of the pure variety.
  6. Onya Dazzle!
  7. Wang boy. Funny thing is, is that the son of the school teacher went on to captain an AFL club and still plays.
  8. I went to the same school as Stevie J. My dad was a teacher at the same school and one of my fathers very good mates was one of the Sports teachers there. At draft time a call came from Collingwood after a reference for Stevie J, who, as you would imagine was a bit of a tearaway at school. The Sports teacher told Collingwood not to touch him with a ten foot pole. This, it must be said, was probably reasonably sound advice at the time. Collingwood passed and the rest is history as they say. I have no idea what knowledge you have on Talia and how it relates to my story, but people forget that not all footy players at a young age are upstanding citizens, hell some are even immature and take a while to grow up, but everyone, everyone deserves a second chance.
  9. This is probably the first post to make me feel OK about trusting the Melksham trade and it's on the Bastinac thread! Good to see you back Nudge. Hoping for some news from you this trade season. Cheers.
  10. I'll just let my signature doing the talking...
  11. Gorringe on the move it would seem: http://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl-premiership/afl-market-watch-daniel-gorringe-to-leave-gold-coast-aaron-hall-in-demand-mitch-brown-in-form/story-e6frf3e3-1227529050191
  12. A solid individual from a solid Central Australian family. Has speed and good disposal and from the GWS games I have seen (we see a heap in the NT) he seems to be a good decision maker. Was an absolute lock in their back six for a while there, but injuries and competition have kept him out. Admittedly he has had a difficult year, but I understand injuries have played their part. From what I understand he has the ability to play out of the middle and no doubt aspires to do so. I can seem he and Salem in a couple of years time rotating across half back and into the mid-field. I'd love to see him in Red and Blue, and I am very confident that our recruiters will be onto him if they think he is a good thing.
  13. From Trade Talk as HS: Know anyone Melbourne is going after? Jay ClarkThey will sell the farm for Dion Prestia from Gold Coast. Also need another big forward to partner big boy Jesse Hogan.September 15 2015 12:06 PM I know, I know, it means nothing. I know, I know it's Jay Clark. Just doing my best to keep our hopes up...
  14. Jed Lamb anyone?
  15. I agree. This might sound dramatic and a little premature but I'd suggest they're on the cusp of a rebuild. Bennell and Dixon gone, Hunt, Campbell both flops (along with other established talent they drafted), Ablett injured and ageing, O'Meara potentially looking elsewhere. they'll struggle to keep Prestia and Gorringe supposedly wants out. Throw Howe, Watts, Dawes in with an early draft pick and we have the beginnings of a trade.
  16. A good example is Aish. Widely known that he'll probably leave but hasn't said boo. B&F's now completed for both clubs, so the coming fortnight could see some announcements. I'm clutching at straws I know, but trying to distract myself from the Milkshake train wreck...
  17. It's only in the last year that players have broadcast their intentions to leave clubs before the grand final. Prestia has never personally said anything to the media, his manager made a statement and everyone went away. I'm just going to quietly hold my breath on behalf of the rest of you.
  18. I know it seems like a given that he is Pies bound, but I can't help but think we're in this guys ear with a huge long term deal. Why wouldn't we be? The only thing I can think of is that he's younger than the A grader we apparently seek. In my mind we are no doubt ideally trying to lure: Treloar Dangerfield Bennell Prestia ( no way we've given up on this guy) + some fringe Swans, Hawks, Gold Coast, GWS mids.
  19. I think the mere suggestion that a player like Freeman is a topic for discussion on a trade board is indicative of how impatient we are as a group of supporters with the development of young talent. Seriously this guy has had injuries and is being made to earn his spot, it's a simple as that. We have to get over the idea that just because a high draft pick isn't being played doesn't mean he's ripe to be moved on. Think: Toumpas, Hunt, etc.
  20. I kid you not this article, as others have stated, originally stated that we had a 4 year contact in front of him! Hell I don't even mind if you think I made this all up, I'm just relieved that its not happening (most likely). Check Bigfooty, people going bananas about it there and people on bomberblitz having a laugh at our previously perceived stupidity.
  21. I generally don't claim to know much, but one thing I do know, and will go on the record as saying, is that Melksham is not a shadow of a footballer and I'll loose my [censored] if we trade him in.
  22. Gee reckon you're onto something there and think Brisbane would certainly look to start a conversation with that offer.
  23. Loved Ricky Bobby. All the best.
