  1. give us some context brus... geez
  2. Both Sheil and Savage would be great pick-ups. Give me Sheil over Adams any day of the week.
  3. From afl.com.au: The Giants were forced to re-affirm that exciting midfield prospect Dylan Shiel was a required player after reports he wanted to return to Victoria. Shiel is contracted for the next two seasons so is unlikely to move although he has attracted interest from several clubs with Melbourne understood to be most keen. AFL.com.au understands Shiel would be open to a move but the Giants want to retain him. Shane Savage's future is also not totally clear. The Hawk played in the 2012 Grand Final but missed selection in the 2013 premiership team. He showed good form with the Hawks through the year and was solid in the finals for the Box Hill Hawks after being dropped for the finals. Melbourne and the Eagles are understood to be among several clubs interested in talking to Savage if he is seeking further opportunity outside Hawthorn. He is contracted with the Hawks until the end of 2014 and the 22-year-old is likely to be a required player. He will meet with the club this week.
  4. Right you are. I'm confusing him with Sloane perhaps?
  5. Nice carrot indeed. Also mentioned that Freo is still in the mix for Buddy. Could Fyfe also be part of the deal here? Perhaps given his rumoured desire to return to Victoria this would be a more likely outcome. Freo would surely prefer a ready made Franklin rather than a young Boyd.
  6. Well apparently not. Just announced in the Sunday Footy show that Fyfe rumoured to be on the table. GWS willing to offer pick 1.
  7. Better still maybe your "client" read it on Demonland. Ha!
  8. Did somebody read you the thread on Demonland entitled 'Big Americans training with Roos at Swans Academy' that began three and a half weeks ago in which the OP states: 'Anyway with Roos having the inside knowledge I wouldn't be surprised to see one of these guys come on to our list as a rookie''?
  9. That'd be me champ, and just because a few of these turkeys are lapping your guesses up, doesn't mean that your words count for diddly squat. Happy for you to highlight the info you have provided that has eventuated. But I reckon you might struggle there. You're nothing more than an attention seeker... In fact you remind me of someone else on here... gee, who might that be?
  10. I hate to have to put this bluntly but Liam Jurrah will never play AFL football at AFL level again. Ever.
  11. Call me old fashioned, but the above comment needs to go 'round one more time prior to trade week just to put H H's 'inside word' into a little perspective.
  12. I cannot believe how many regular posters on here are giving this guy air! Thread after thread of half-cocked rumours, not one has come anywhere near to fruition. Wake up!
  13. I saw Liam play a few weeks ago in a Grand Final here in Alice. I also speak to someone quite close to him most days. This distance between where he is now in his life and where he needs to get to to be an AFL player again is simply too far.
  14. Well you're strike rate is beyond appalling so I'm just going to throw this gossip in the pile of horse [censored] basket.
  15. You have to be trolling... Surely?
  16. Denham now saying he'll back us as a club with the (probable) team in place.
  17. GNF you've actually hit on something here. The worst possible day to announce our new coach would be the day before a Federal Election. It's dumb and I just don't think a guy like PJ would let it happen. Tuesday it is folks!
  18. True. But I choose to believe otherwise!
  19. Sorry if this has been reported elsewhere, but the following appeared in an article about Carltons search for a new midfield coach: 'Swann said the club had a shortlist of targets, but would not expand other than to say Carlton did not believe ex-Geelong premiership captain Cameron Ling was available.' Promising!
  20. His reasons for coming to us in the first place, I am sure, struck a cord with all us diehards. He spoke of our history in the game and our future importance in it. Loved him even prior to this statement, we need people like this man in our game, I hope there is a meaningful role for him to play with us and if not then he should snag the Brissy job which I am sure will please their supporters. Best of luck!
  21. Plain explain your propoted statement of fact above because the silence in here is deafening...
  22. So how do you explain this bright eyes? You are delusional and mate let me tell you, because you do need to be told, there is not a single soul on this forum that believes you are in anyway privy to anything at all private that goes on at the club. Got it?
  23. Time after time you flout yourself as someone in possession of information you have no idea about. You have just made a fool of yourself.
  24. If Paul Roos does in fact become the coach of the Melbourne Football Club can I suggest a temporary renaming of this board to honor the amazing work of one Peter Jackson? Anyone want to second this proposal?
  25. If Roos continues to say no, and I believe he most definitely will, then Mark Williams is our man. We need someone to take this playing list by the scruff if the neck and shake it, hard. We need a coach who will not just enhance our players belief in themselves and their team, but revolutionise it. Does anyone seriously think that Rodney Eade has that ability? Having said that, the above post got me thinking that perhaps, and I stress perhaps, a Craig/Eade team could play such a roll. But I only believe that with Eade and Craig working with the players together there is a possibility they can do the required job, one without the other will simply not be enough.
