  1. Cal Twomey tweeting three way trade for 8 between Freo, Adelaide and us: Another trade in the works. Freo poised to move up to pick 8 in a three-way deal with Melbourne and Adelaide.

Us taking Kemp makes a lot of sense when we consider Jason Taylor’s efforts to trade up the order to secure Oliver. We wouldn’t trade into the position we did to get just anyone, we’ve positioned ourselves for a big win and some X factor. lock it in.

Martin has attributes of both Stretch and JKH. I wonder if discussions over the weekend prompted these decisions? Opens up two more spots in the list meaning we’re taking someone via means other than the national draft.

    Stretch and JKH delisted.
  5. I don’t get it. Admittedly I have only watched highlights but judging Serong’s highlights against Young, Serong looks a long way off. Reminds me of Trengove. Super hyped pre-draft then appears slow, undersized and one dimensional. Happy to be proven wrong. Young on the other hand has dash, a burst of speed and he is a goal kicking midfielder.
  6. Interesting that Lewis Taylor has not presented as an option. Due to some apparently connected cats on Demonland we were keen on him when he was originally drafted. He’s stuck behind a plethora of smart forwards at Brisbane And appears to be on the trade table. thoughts?
  7. Membrey.

As one of the best small forwards in the game we need to be in the hunt. Our delivery into the forward 50 this year was terrible. We need a player who can capitalise on spilt balls in the forward 50. Whether it’s Papley, Taylor or Butler I dunno. Hannan will be better injury free, Spargo too panicked, Dunkley/ Lochart still developing.
  9. Gunston?
  10. Sorry if it’s already been mentioned but would anyone consider Bruce from the Saints?
  11. Sweet mother of Christ. If you’re treating text messages from Freo mates as legitimate intel worth posting you’re contribution to this Board is even more negligible than I ever thought it could be.
  12. What a terrible string of cliches. We essentially paid the equivalent of pick 4 for a lynchpin of our backline for the next decade. Do some research, actually wait and watch he brings to the team before you slander player and club. Grow some yourself you keyboard warrior.
  13. The suggestion that our interest in and decision to select a particular player in the National Draft being dictated by another club is absurd in the extreme. Let me ask you this, what plans have Melbourne made for other clubs to select which players?
  14. I hear that carlton are into Tomlinson, surely we could do worse then him up forward?
  15. I don't disagree, both players are on the fringe, but I think people on here are really down on both of these players simply because they haven't come in and starred. Whilst I admit they haven't had the initial impact I would have hoped, I think Michie has started to settle and play the role the footy department needs him to and Newton will be all the better after another year settling into the club, his role and the gameplan. Riley couldn't win enough of the ball, nor be the damaging player we needed him to be. Michie and Newton are very much in the frame of being potentially solid contributors.
  16. It's just a matter of working out a trade: http://www.afl.com.au/news/2015-09-29/demons-offer-to-bomber-jake-melksham-is-too-good-to-refuse
  17. I kid you not this article, as others have stated, originally stated that we had a 4 year contact in front of him! Hell I don't even mind if you think I made this all up, I'm just relieved that its not happening (most likely). Check Bigfooty, people going bananas about it there and people on bomberblitz having a laugh at our previously perceived stupidity.
  18. I generally don't claim to know much, but one thing I do know, and will go on the record as saying, is that Melksham is not a shadow of a footballer and I'll loose my [censored] if we trade him in.
  19. As has been mentioned elsewhere Kennedy of the GWS variety can't seem to crack into their team. Would anyone on here entertain a Howe for Kennedy trade with a swap of picks in our favour? Curtly Hampton is another player I think could fulfil that Halfback role. Good skills, quick and could cover for Salem when he eventually moves into the midfield. Thoughts?
  20. Surely the fact that the Saints we're offered Pick 4 & 7 for Pick 1 means that Petracca is a lock for 1? If they were after a forward at 1 then they could have opted for Wright (4) and snagged a decent mid at (7). Saints will take Petracca at 1, we'll take Brayshaw at 2, but given Roo's comments regarding teenage talls I don't really consider McCartin a lock at 3. Roos knows how desperate we (fans) are to start playing competitively sooner rather than later. I'd like him, though he looks sluggish to me on his highlights reel, but what the hell do I know? Wouldn't be surprised if we pull someone out of the hat at 3. Question: if we do recruit Mc Cartin how many games will he play in 2015?
  21. It's not about you and me HT. I have not the time or energy to provide specific examples but I am sure you can empathise with the thrust of my arguement without too much effort.
  22. HT you're missing my point in a typically pig-headed "Demonlander' fashion. I am saying it is unbelievable that people are writing Clarkson off immediately whilst continuing to entertain, reasonably in my view, the idea that Malthouse might coach us.
  23. Clarkson, for me, is the man. The coach we must have. I find it unbelievable that some people say it wont happen, whilst others bat on for pages and pages about Malthouse who has stated publicly that he will not be coaching another football side next year. Clarkson has said nothing of the sort and the exact type of tough, unrelenting mongrel our club needs. Malthouse however, the living personification of arrogance, lives on in your hearts as the coach we must snare.
