  1. Nope. Correct decision. Idiotic move by Melksham who should know better. He was miles over the mark. Look at it using the grass cut lines as a guide and you'll see it clearly. Then he acts confused and innocent. Pathetic effort. Whether umpire calls hold or not, isn't the issue.
  2. Thanks. I hear you, brother. Sixty four years in my case. At least I saw the last premiership. I was 13 then.
  3. Thanks Nelo. Another of many defeats at the hands of the Saints.
  4. Thanks again, Rusty. Interesting to see Weideman rated similarly to Spargo and Pickett. I thought he was far better than they were.
  5. What were the scores in that game?
  6. When I saw "34 games", I thought it was going to be about how just 34 games ago, we were in the finals ?
  7. As per saywhat... 6: may 5: lever 4: weideman 3: viney 2: langdon 1: tomlinson
  8. Pickett just ran around in circles. A waste of space. Interesting to see if one of our posters gives him a vote today. "I always give Kossi a vote."
  9. I confess I'm worried about the Bulldogs game. And I'm probably not alone.
  10. 1963, Ron Barassi on Roger Dean. Four weeks. By today's standards, Ron may have escaped any penalty. And Roger might have got a fine for staging!
  11. I agree with the original post by JJC. Here's a rule the umpires need to police better... punching the ball put of bounds is allowed in a marking contest. Otherwise not. The key word is CONTEST. However I have seen players who aren't in a contest, could have attempted the mark themselves, but instead just punched the ball out of bounds. The umpires call for a ball-in. If there is no contest, it should be a penalty for deliberate out of bounds.
  12. Thanks to Binman for creating this thread and the others who have contributed! i am learning a lot from this, although I confess I am not very familiar with EPL (and even less interested). Please keep the comments coming. It would be great if this made it back to the main board.
  13. There could be 8 or 9 changes to both of last year's teams. Hard to assess.
  14. A W I S E assessment.
  15. 6. Oliver 5. Langdon 4. Petracca 3. Brayshaw 2. May 1. Viney
  16. Thanks Joeboy. I look forward to this each week.
  17. I really don't see the point in posting articles most of us can't access. At least not without a summary of contents.
  18. I thought VDB... offered much grunt
  19. 6. Petracca 5. Oliver 4. Brayshaw 3. Langdon 2. Lever 1. Weideman
  20. Thanks for posting that, Blind_turn. Interesting. And I like the way Mitchel asks Worpel what he should do rather than just telling him. It makes me wonder whether our player reviews are as professionally conducted.
  21. Happy to be wrong about his Rising Star chances. I knew it would come but I didn't think it would have been for last week's game. Well done Jacko!
  22. Seriously... it was another step forward for Jackson, but he has a long way to go to be a Rising Star of the calibre of other nominees. They don't give the award on potential. We all want him to be great, but he's not. Not yet, anyway. Same goes for Kozzie. Three minutes of highlights. Looong way to go.
