What's wrong with JJ in our midfield and Harmesy tagging
-
FITP it's "powder dry" typo error obviously! Hope you are right I can't see one reason for us to be quiet We need SIX new AFL standard players thanks to highly conservative selection policy. ( that's being nice really)
-
Let's give it a try !! You are a Goody clone no risk or adventure!!
-
This is band Aid if it replaces the draft unless the player had something special McMahon needs building up obviously but our draft choices are where our cream is to take and the mid or preseason drafts are ok for your choices.
-
Whatever has Hore done since he left us (and being a former HBFlanker of some but not all skills ) who also has not very hard. played any or little footy for Kangas who he went to. You may as well include Dean Kent in your memory lane of players who really didn't make it with us despite trying very hard. our judgement proved correct as we Won a flag within a short period and they failed to shine at their new Club in the meantime.

Yes they sure can but they have had a proud and long history and plenty of opportunities to perfect a Good Show. No expense spared of course helps. I see it as a Horses for Courses and we will be a republic in 20 or 50 or 100 years depending on our collective Will to create it. History is reducing their realms each decade or more like each century. Not on my mortal watch will we be a republic and I am quite happy to let UK be the traditional Monarchy that keeps the people happy in easier or tough times. Their Govt like ours had just had a change for the better (Leader) and we are in good hands with ScoMo and his malcontents safely deposed for what I expect is at least 2/3 terms of righteous thinking of what they want to mean! The spoils of our VFL Cup are yet to unfold but some gems are likely when the dust settles from the quirky precocious youth to potential AFL' ers of 2/3 years and Sam is he Jacko's replacement or do we need Brodie Grundy as well to cushion big Maxy? A better health fortune snd game plan for 2023 plus hunger from all will be a great tonic fir another very serious assault on another Flag.

Think Hibbo is a medium played tall and Turner is more of a tall and may not be able to handle the medium size Dusty's of the world. Have thought Turner may be able to give Petty the time to go forward and join JVR and Tmac if he recovers his fitness. All ways around between JVR Tmac Pettyweshouldhave3goodbacks/forwards in the mix with our existing back champs and Turner Tommo Smith and possible forwards BBB in form plus Weid Gawny and Grundy with cameos. An early pick in the draft of a forward and or back of 195cm plus as a 1/2 year project is also worthy of considering. Not too difficult ? in JT we trust. Goody etc. have to be creative at selection

There are over 2/3,000 players around of virtual AFL standard in Australia some of whom have stalled due to Covid but are ready for a challenge. Why spend $10,000 on Airfares on a 30/70 % chance on an Irish " stab in the dark" ? We have AFL plus VFL all interstate Style SANFLS etc, to consider. No name is banging in my head but JT and Lamby should have some if deemed that style player is required. Could be an 18 yo bush pig or a 25 yo from a VFL background or even Patrick Dow from the Blues for some outside run as a more needed alternative. Connor Nash is the prototype you seek but a pacy and classy outside runner better fits our needs IMO at this stage to insulate our draft choices and existing stock to maintain our on the ball dominance.

Was played in AFL too soon snd never recovered his amazing 2021 form. BOth Salo and Jakey had injury snd form as were pushed too far and ended up not fully fit. Back to 2021 form with good pre seasons.

You know a change of environment is always a chance of players fitting in and relishing different systems and culture. Stewart would be a good 3rd/4th defender or handy FP goalkicker and Francis a HB flanker good overhead and skilful msybe even a half forward. Both are better players ( ie have more ability than they are showing at Tulla.) I think it's better getting a "readymade player " snd working with him for say a 3Rd rounder as we already have about 6/8 young potentials who need to start grabbing the spots ASAP
-
Ask for swap for James Stewart or Aaron Francis. Reckon we could make a player out of either one.
-
I reckon Chandler should go better as a small defender minding the opp small player and would look good with pace on his beautiful left foot straight ahead. Corners and small amounts of room take his skill away at the top level and he is not a consistent goal kicker really. Csn always be shifted forward for a cameo if needed. Bowser on a wing or half forward gives us more class nearer the goals.

TYSYL Blatantly Deliberate bump when had choice to tackle. Feet off the ground gives it away !!! If you choose to bump and concuss a player you are responsible for your action. Saw it right in front of me! Said to friend next to me that it was 2 gamer but knowing AFL he might get off!!!! MRO and Tribunal got it right only the Appeals Brainless Trio got it so horribly wrong as Gil says so!! Wonder if you would have same opinion if that was Clarry in a Prelim and going to miss a Granny through Concussion !!
-
He still is and will for most of his retirement . FWIW I totally agree with Gil and call this the "Fake Win" akin to the Blues Over Payments when "Pigs [censored]" Elliot ran the Club like Crown Casino. Hard not to dislike Paddy really but it happened right in front of me and from the top level stand on the wing:/hf he deliberately decided that Carlton needed some grunt to liven up his players ( they were 5/6 goals down) and took out Ah Chee as a sample of "tough footy". The 2 weeks was absolutely justified and the shambolic AFL MRO/Tribunal/Appeals system is a disgrace. Should be rethought and restructured before 2023.
-
Of course Rovers and Salem played injured and were bought back straight into the AFL We should learn and give long term injured a return in the VFL to allow some sort of recovery. Sparrow needs a few VFL games also. Many of our other players were injured and playing at the end of the year. We don't learn and thsts why we couldn't play out games to the full. Goody and the SC are guilty.

Correct LDC By the Wed all exits were finished as Gawny took Cup home on the Thursday.

Disagree D 11 These players of Geelong are the greatly improved ones that are much better than the slow and marginally skilled Dalhsus for example. Menogola is a good player but on a wing ? They all have pace and the ability to run and keep the ball in motion. That's the new Chris Scott mantra after a decade of slow but steady ball movement. Each one of these new players are sharing 1,2 or 3 on grounds each round . We must move on our flankers etc snd 4 and 5 on ballers and get better and more skilled role players and ideal match winners say like Kossie and Lingers. The Spargs ANB and Sparrow/( Harmes ? Not sure really) are on notice. We need Howes Chandler Bedford snd AMZ to find their legs in 2023. Oh and Bowser in the team snd a fit Salem and Rivers.
-
understand up to a point thanks LH That's providing we look for players rather than a realistic pick if any of our players are delisted or approached at say 3rd or 4th round!!!
-
Don't want surprises and Tommo is contracted another year and Hunt has been offered or is contracted. Bedford has not accepted a 2 year deal to date but has multiple suitors. If we have these deals I Hope we trade for a required position rather than 3rd rounder! Say.
-
Not Kossie standard but best of the ones who have not been tried.
-
Not so good now Simon 60% 5-3.

This is bad news. After an underwhelming 2022 where players from 2021 were not under enough pressure to produce by the Coach and SC we need at least 6 new players over 2021 and 2022. To improve our list and keep the list keen and yearning for growth. Internal improvement is not enough and in 2022 many list players fell off their 2031 standard. Yes about 8/10 Casey players are promising or will get a chance early but nothing is certain. Hopefully a couple of new coaches are sought ( not in place of Ooze BTW) for new plans snd our forward line and backs both could be looked at. I think some sense in recruiting by trade is very necessary for us at present so hope this May eventuate. Our Four Year Plan is petering out if this is the 2023 version.
-
No he's a 3rd year prodigy like Trac was in his 3rd year counting his first injury prone year in the counting of his first 3 years. Potential evident but uses it sparingly at 20 years of age!!
-
My goodness OD something positive are you OK? FWIW I totally agree with you. Something sad and world shattering has happened and we are agreeing OD Maybe it's a Royal sadly passing. R.I. P. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 11. Long live the new King Charles 111.

Sorry I have watched Robbo for his 2/3/4 years at the Lions and if you parcel up our 5 players he is lucky to have enough skill as the best in each of the 5. He is not quick ( we lack some outside pace still ) not a good ball handler) not a great goal kicker really and his best role may be as a tagger but Harmesy has him covered there. Only plus is his age and he MAY improve I suppose. But NO from me.
