  1. What a ridiculous post by Azz and Lord Travis. When both Thursday and Friday night are sellouts !!! Hasnt worried Tigers Blues Pies and Cats fans. Why should it worry US? Please don't defend our fans. They have had 6 mths to work out transport anomalies. You either want to go or don't. Easier to travel any way on Sat. night. As for WCW and pensioner on Thursday comment for last year. Same response Had 6 mths to save for purchase of Mship ticket or ticket to the game. The longer we analyse the issues for non attendance the weaker the excuses become for our fans as it doesn't affect other Clubs fans. The technology has ena bled the Mship tickets to be scanned at the gates now so no excuses there either, A bit of realism and club loyalty is what we need occasionally.
  2. Tmac might well go back also .
  3. You are aware that patrons don't need to prebuy Seats any more in GA areas. Also it's different in MCC I believe although $10 is being charged to each member I believe for a reserved seat. So you don't know how many MFC members have switched back to the membership card for entry. This was the big point made by MFC members especially aged ones against going last year. Yes Doggies are not good at MCG so 10,000 might be their numbers. Why with all the talent they have is that? Really did it matter whether it was a Semi or elimination Final. MCC members are not vocal generally do smarten op your mob please. I have sat there Previously toCovid. We are disadvantaged by The NT Game each year you don't mention that.
  4. Totally agree The baggers of Tmac do not understand the forward line structure and role playing and his one per centres and skills at footy that make him such a valuable and irreplaceable player on our forward line. 2022 proved that.
  5. You're criticism of Tmac is wrong. His first half last year was good 15 goals in 10 games and he always ( you obviously don't notice) leads and prevents the CHB dominating plus all the smaller forwards cash in as a result of his competitiveness. Team games are that and Tmac mss add Jed our forward line a strength as indicated by our record when he plays. Tske off those blinkered glasses and also Spargs and ANB play team roles yes some more goals is required from all our forwards but their fitness is better this year and the more we play good players that need minding it will help all the time we enter with improved plans and style. Like in 2021 we will get the job done with new old and refreshed players on our forward line. Max and Brody will both need watching.
  6. And I picked him up on his answer re consistency but he has explained he reckons it was only about kicking which I would accept, but definitely not about his form overall. Clarry is the very model of consistent form for all others to be judged against.
  7. Thus would make for a Tmac to backline and Petty to CHF or FF if this happens again.
  8. You confirmed what the other poster said re Viney being rushed back In 2022 and not to repeat it with Viney this year.. Looking at Fritta on the news he looks ready but is he underdone snd can he overcome this with his style of game. Agree Might be best to leave to Lions game for Fritta.
  9. But you posted he needed to be more consistent ? That's what I queried? I do agree he is not as damaging generally with his kicking as Trac. But he is elite in most other things.
  10. Lacks Consistency Really ?? So 33 35 29 30 36 27 oh and 24 plus 37 34 disposals averaging more than 30 per season Refer to Clarry's Champion figures if you want to see consistency. G.d help your judgement of other players
  11. We were 5TH largest last year thsts not too bad!!
  12. Yes was sitting in the noisiest area last season but in the MCC on QB and the Southern and Northern Stands went berserk MCzc not so loud but still good for them.
  13. You intervened snd commented on a comment I made to another's post. And made the point about Finals. Aren't I allowed to comment on all of your response. How do you know that Round1 tickets are not good? You haven't got the MFC members who are coming like the old days with their card So you can't estimate them. Or MCC members either same way. I haven't booked because I have my card either. Maybe if you add 20/30,000 MFC to the sales that might improve the numbers, and MCC then!! Cwood are always noisiest at the end when Thayer are on top. In 2017 who made all the noise when Wattsy kicked that famous goal on QB? No the Pies fans. That was the loudest H and A roar from Dees fans I have ever heard. Final prob goals in the Semi vs Cats in 2018. And from support of WA neutrals in Perth on GF day when we kicked goals in the third quarter. I was there!!
  14. ANB Will only get mid time if he is playing well. He played back to his 2021 form vs Tigers in the prac game.
  15. Watts was ahead of your other failures to compete. He at least had skill to back up what attributes he had.
  16. Vast underestimation of an AA and his skills. He is not generally cumbersome and is quite good below his waist. Also must have been a real off day for Brodie. Remember he is coming off virtually a full season out. Thank goodness he looked good contributing vs Tigers. Hope you agree? . Rivers was injured then rushed back with his bandage on nearly all season last year and has started 2023 with plenty of vigour and speed adapting to his new cameo role on the ball promisingly. Has great potential ( Think Yeo of WC) in this role and his penetrating kicking could be a real weapon. Agree with you re McVee.
  17. Lobb won't go back I would think it woiuld be Darcy.
  18. Far too dismissive of the depth of injury situation of ours against other teams. It got progressively worse each week depending upon our footsteps half. Results show that and it is right little was done to change the situation. That's the reason if we have a fit list all through the year and don't play underdone and not severely injured players we have a great chance in 2023. The addition of Hunter and Brody plus improvement of some and greater fitness of others especially some younger players and also a couple or more Flag heroes will make a big difference. Tmac alone will be a big help.
  19. I merely picked up on the comment that was our crowds fell off at the end. Not sure 50,000 Pies but we were out numbered for a home game. But the totals were not lower than earlier and IMO what's wrong with counting Finals We had majority by fair way at both.
  20. Lever battled injury also.
  21. Well Luc I can't see how mediocrity is an issue. If you win the McClelland Trophy with both AFL and AFLW counted you need at least big no of wins in one and more than half in the other. it would be good to go back over the last 6 years and check just to see who Was the winner. Don't go for the split up of $400,000 each and $200,000 for the winner. Would be better if $400,000 to the overall winner and $300,000 to each of the Men's and Women's Divisions if this went ahead.
  22. Suspect we may not need it if we win early games vs Dogs Lions Swans and Tigers. But play it again Sam any way!!!
  23. Yes that (Gawny) needs to be watched but it's all about the sum of parts and the final result. We have enough parts to mix snd match centred around talls smalls and the best medium hybrid forward in the AFL as he proved in the GF. And Harry Petty should not be discarded or forgotten. Add Joel Smith also.
