  1. Agree CF but nice to get better quality depth!

AFL website has 1 games played and the points then % then with wins and losses which could be left out along with for and against!
  3. Good point CF i thought it was the most rounded and composed game from Josh W. ( must admit I am not one of his fans) but he hardly made an error and his ball handling on a dewy night was very good. Not to drop for Saints at least. Tigers will need defence of speed speed and more speed! Though.
  4. The more the AFL survives the less the change Carlton 2018 last Carlton 2019 last. Obviously if they win today then they will go above us so hope not.
  5. Thanks W. Many think we miss him more than any other forwards! All different skills and types if all fit!
  6. Petty Jeffy and Kielty had a good run today and in form ( at least a good week's form) Maynard is another inside mid and contested beast Pity is not an outside runner. ANB not back in reckoning. Jetta Lewy Lockhart KK very handy to very good depth Stephen May and Jake Lever Prize recruits who deserve extended period on the park to bolster the defence to near top class. AVB Joel Smith and JKH more likely ready about bye or even further injury time required.

To quote MRO Chief Michael Christian "it's not a good look for our game " Hear that Ben and Brad (Scott)

Why ? After Jesse don't tamper with the best goal kicking routine at our Club. Along with Tommy Weid is elite in accuracy
  9. What we've learnt from (Brian) Ch 7 and others is that Jake Lever is a cook maybe suitable MKR ? Demonland posters Poor maligned Trac for Fattest Losers and Married at First Sight any of our young eligible players (bachelors) in the off season to keep their fitness levels in check. Give Stephen May the producers ph. no please. Sorry for this trivia !!!

Not a good call A premature call. The whole Club does feed off CEO but I'm not sure what Perty has presided over or been responsible for? Membership already a record and will reach 50,000 for the first time by the way . Thats what Perty did at the Pies! His major role is the admin training and social complex for the Club and Finance is a key role as well. Oh and he is not really responsible for the injuries or operations or fitness of our players Any blame there to Football Dept and Dave Mission and Medico's. he didn't appoint any one either. So why will it end in tears? Because he doesn't say OUR or US all the time. Listen to his Demonland Podcast for an interview which should ease your mind unless it's already made up!

Patience is still required and Marty in place of Nev would have tipped the scales to single 2nd place! Maybe that also explains our form which we have started 2019 which is at the bottom of list similar to our place on the ladder.

And what is this about Pet?
  14. LF Read my post yesterday in the Petracca topic along with Weids and that's my answer.
  15. While the Jetta (if fit) argument for selection seems simple the fact that we play Saints on Sat and Tigers on Wed (Anzac Eve) with only a four day break I am not sure that it will be wise for either Lewis or Nev to play both from a fitness angle. I would like them both to play but we must be conservative with our team selection to maintain our list in good health. Let's welcome both back but I am confident that Marty Hore stood up well and that's encouraging. Oscar with a nine day break should overcome concussion if form warrants his selection. Jonesy might also be managed for time during this period as will Braydon in the ruck if he recovers also from his shoulder injury. Most others will need to play in both games providing they pull up without any minor aches pains or tears. Our Medicos inc Dave Mission have some interesting and challenging selections along with the Match Committee for Rounds 5 and 6. Good luck guys.

Agree MS about Jetta too fond of flying for impossible fourth in line marks Can't understand thebbackline (or any other coach) Coach hasn't noticed and got him out of this very bad habit.

Part of th reason is that our defence is taught to punch not mark plus Oscar never goes for or takes any marks. Marty Hore was a revelation last night even though a great proportion were chest ones. We don't seem to recruit great high marks for defence since Tommy Mac and of course we have lost Jeremy Howe. If you matk you retain possession and can control the ball instead of a 50% chance from a punch ball up or throw in. Maybe when our defence is back to full strength Lever as interceptor and May ads one on one or pack will alter this. We await with hope and interest.

No Schace just isn't marking !
  19. Thanks DL understand fully but wonder if ANB can alter his game and adapt to a more physical and skilled (without the fumbling) style to win back his spot.Thats his challenge to play tougher football. Agree he needs a good stint at Casey yo turn things around from a poor start to 2019. look forward to your post about the young guys and Jeffy All Have big chances with the Saints and Tigers games so close.
  20. No Winx is his fave Special!!!
  21. If having to put up with Brian as part of winning I am absolutely happy to include this each week. Really makes him think he is important but behind the responses there is s good deal of banter some sort of unbelievable mirth and also true footy cliches. Oh and just a hint of information for us fans!

The best way of judging Trac's game last night (or any time maybe) is who would have kicked those 2 goals especially the second.? Also last week vs Bombers inclose on his left foot his strength won out. Once you eliminate 3/4 of the Forward line I suggest probably only Tommy Mac (WC Round 14 2027 winning goal) Clarry and maybe Melkshake . Also his heavy traffic performance IMO is priceless to our goal scoring capability like to Jonesy last night and in the Elim Final. Another point is that we have 2 elite ball users and currently moderate contributors in the forward line in Weid and Spargo. Now they both don't get enough of the ball snd need games and experience to develop that as they both are only about 25 games into their careers! The balance and bonus of playing them consistently should not be overlooked unless they have a real period of low confidence (like Oscar at the moment). They Both Have one or two great skills Weid good ball handling superb kicking fir goal esp. Marking still a work in progress. Good team player as well. Spargs footy brain and disposal ability are a natural born elite skill that will stand him in good stead throughout his career. Yes more pace stronger tackling and greater kicking depth are needed to become an excellent AFL small player. Wonder if he could develop like Calem Daniel of the Dogs? So keep Trac and develop game time for Weid and Spargs and inFinals (whenever ) the tests will come for them all.
