Would hope that Petty could play either at CHB or CHF and not sure Baker will survive. Reckon one of Sparrow or Jordon will play but not both. If Gus plays then Melkshsm snd Hibberd Dont. Have too many underdone and no form either. Spargo or Jonesy for HFF I think. Would like Bowey to get chance but Might have to wait. Def Nev sadly is probably not up with the pace at this stage. Harmesy is a worry As he is a very careless tackler and needs to eliminate this out of his game. Tmac needs to hit the scoreboard and is prob better suited to FF than CHF but Maybe that is nitpicking as players are moved between one and the other. We have to be careful not to throw some players out on the one below par form today and go back to older not ready or out of form due up no practice others.

Think it's possibly closed to the public but check that out.

TEAM SELECTION: Practice Match vs Bulldogs

Public holiday -
One year ones for Hibbo and Tommy and Melkshske ONLY if he is genuinely in the senior side ( not favoured by the Coach) . Jets will have retired and Jonesy also.
-
Didn't check spell check which generally comes up with Rodman and Bowery. Sorry.
-
That's not true Fork. Clarry is a good kick without a classic style and is an efficient disposer. Length is generally excellent.
-
Sorry Biff meant for following post.

That's not true Clarry is a Good kick without being a classic style disposer.

Correct Sydee agree Rod looked all at sea but I am expecting a lift. Yes Bowery and Petty were excellent in defence.

He said he didn't look at FA Old Dee. What more Do you want him to say?

Grundy did not get on in the hub. He does not want or like footy being 24/7. He will play better this year but at $1 mill per year needs to. DS let's face it we are damned if we do or don't. Maxy is at the top of his game and I feel it's not a Buddy decision where he needs to play till 36. We want To keep all our players and the Club are doing an amazing job this week two of our very best for the next 4 years and Clarry and Salo to come and I reckon Trac will sign on this season agsin. PS on top of Jack if we can get some younger stars also

Probably something similar to other areas Will stilll need a Covid safe seat.

Clayton Oliver 100 Games Round 1 2021 vs FREO
58er replied to picket fence's topic in Melbourne Demons
Agree but see no reason why he won't . Sort of follows Up what Gawny said about team football and some sort of selfishness in the mids group last year was apparent. If they play like last Friday thsts the team play that should be non negotiable. Clarry led the way last week and can co tubule in that role. Trac does his football naturally now and is a team player of class. -
Yes Mr Leg

No wonder Tommy didn't get a contract with another AFL Club during Trade period. was fighting leg artery issues oversized mullet and trying to diet all in about 2 months. That's a lot of baggage !!! Great to see the real Tom Back and with some agility and marking prowess last Friday. Looking for gradual improvement whete he impacts the scoreboard and is a focal point in attack.
-
Very small sample size Chook!!
-
Would be even more juicy if Tom plays CHF and Oscar is at CHB and both Clubs are up and about with 60,000 plus for the McDonald Cup!!!
-
Hopefully Rosman comes on during the season and our wing problems are solved. Looking for more involvement on Monday early game. Huge upside when he gets his mojo going.
-
Demons 11 last tine I looked You weren't on our selection panel nor coaching group! Looks a likely type as long as he adjusts to the AFL atmosphere! Size and X factor look irresistible on the highlights all be they are in a lower grade. Good luck Monday Kye.

Think he is a shoe in being so late. Size and potential are mouth watering and Choco's judgement should be trusted.

Clayton Oliver 100 Games Round 1 2021 vs FREO
58er replied to picket fence's topic in Melbourne Demons
Didn't you notice his game last Friday. For his first with Ooze in the midfield our mids were Good almost slick with Clarry having a large impact. No hot potato handballs either. That's the Clarry we want now fir another 100/200 games. -

Totally agree Max Bob we need to transition to youth NOW from Round1. Those stats Of our list age are totally misrepresentative of the team which if we say made the GF this year. We would only have IMO Gawn May Possibly Hibbo of the 30 yo brigade. About 13/14 might be of the 23 - 27 Category ( considered in their prime ) and the excitement from my point of view would come FROM Players in their first 3 years viz Sparrow Jordon Lockhart Jacko Kossie Riv Laurie Bowey Rosman and say possibly Bradtke. Grest blend of experience and youth. Many will say why not so and so but trust me most are past their best snd It has not been good enough and they have run out of opportunities unless that are in absolutely stellar form. 2021 could be our breakout year if we get on the front foot and give our youth a go from the start. That can learn on the job not try and turn the clock back Like some of our noble warriors of the past.

Any group of players that win 6 flags in 11 years and make the 4 all 11 times in a row play in 7 successive grand finals and 8 out of 11 seasons In the GF has players Who are deserved of being called champions In the true sense of the word. Also the team was an outstanding group of players and indeed probably the best Team to have success over a long period. Greatest Team in other words. Wouldn't it be great If we could start a dynasty of al least 2 or 3 flags which to be fair are Far harder to win these days. I get the feel Something special is building with our group but it's the hardest thing to do and requires much grit teamwork and talent plus that bit of luck during a season and finals Games also. Let's start with 2021 setting a standard in all areas honouring our 4 year plan and exceeding it in the process.
