  1. Fair point Turner. I've just looked and the Sir Doug Nicholls rounds are 10 & 11 which are both away games against sides that predominantly wear royal blue, West Coast and North Melbourne. I think I read somewhere that these guernseys get planned a long way ahead of time though and therefore probably before the fixture is released.
  2. It's rather busy. The red and the blue parts are the wrong way around as well.
  3. One thing I think we can all agree on is that if it wasn't for ... Rail replacement buses. Public transport in general. Uber prices. Parking. Too long a walk after we've parked. Traffic. $10 beers. Mid strength beer. Food outlets closed. Loud music. Weather too nice to go. Weather too bad to go. Games on public holidays. Games at night. Games at 3.20pm on a Sunday. Games at 1.10pm on a Saturday. Games on a Wednesday. Games on a Thursday. Games on a Friday. Games at Easter. Games on Mother's Day. Bringing the family to a night game. Leaving the family to go to a night game. Games against interstate teams. Games against teams with no rivalry. Games at Marvel. School holidays. Going away for the weekend. Can't sit exactly where we want. Sitting on level 4. Can't stand at the game. Spending all our money on the Grand Prix the week before. Can't pay in cash at the gate. Not being able to access our digital ticket until 72 hours before a game. Stupid ticketing system. Ticketek Ticketmaster Free to air on TV Kayo Club not promoting games enough. 2 years of lockdown. Covid. ...we would all crawl over broken glass to watch this Melbourne team right now.
  4. We were a Charlie Curnow goal away from having the perfect weekend.
  5. That's why they needed to pull a few strings to get him out of Gold Coast.
  6. Hawthorn looking like a poorly assembled cheap knock off version of us.
  7. A win win outcome. We get to see Gus reinvented as a winger and become a lock in our first 22 whilst at the age of 32 he gets to feel like a young whipper snapper around his new team mates.
  8. Sorry I can't watch this....I have to wash my hair Goes to show there's a first time for everything.
  9. I saw him get interviewed in the rooms after the North game Cards and he comes across as a ripping kid. Lots of people had the same opinion of Jack Riewoldt until he started appearing on 360.
  10. Mick Malthouse has just predicted Canada will win the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
  11. Judging by the crowd at Docklands tonight you'd have more chance of catching rabies than covid.
  12. Looking forward to seeing the Blues spend all of their petrol tickets kicking 35 points against us up until 3 quarter time before they fall off the cliff and concede the next 15 goals.
  13. Geez, anyone within 10 goals of Carlton at 3 quarter time would fancy their chances right now.
  14. I was going to go until I checked the PTV website and saw the city bound Sunbury line trains yesterday were all terminating at Southern Cross which would mean catching the 48 tram (8 stops!) all the way up Collins St to the G. Plan B was to drive in along Footscray Road but the lights at the intersection with Docklands Drive just take an eternity to change. Then there's a tricky hook turn to negotiate on the corner of Collins & Exhibition not to mention a three block walk to the ground after I've parked. Did I mention it was also Easter? In the end I just gave up and watched it on Kayo.
  15. Barring injury it'll be BBB for SW. That's no disrespect to Sam but just like Harry Petty this week Ben Brown is definitely best 22 material and often commands an extra opposition defender for that reason.
  16. Hi MP. You know it's a Melbourne home game when even the checkout chicks live in Portsea.
  17. It's commendable that we have supporters that buy season tickets when commitments still prevent them getting to many of our games. However I must have heard every excuse under the sun as general reasons for why we're not attracting bigger home crowds. At least we can't be accused of being fair weather fans. This could be the best Melbourne team on record and we still can't get off our collective @rses to cheer them on from the stands.
  18. At some stages tonight we looked like the Harlem Globetrotters. Maybe they should play Sweet Georgia Brown over the speakers as the side runs out. We made the GWS ferrari look like a clapped out trabbie.
  19. Morning 'Landers. It's looking like a glorious autumn day out there that will culminate with the reigning premiers running out at the home of football. Before then I've got lunch planned at Alemantari on Smith Street followed by a wander round the Collingwood Yards arts precinct where they have a rooftop bar. Here's hoping we don't give the oppo a sniff at any point and run out comfortable winners.
  20. North Melbourne's sub looks 12 years old. He's still taller than Caleb Daniel though.
  21. I'll take that. Ease into the day with a late Saturday start time and home by midnight after a few jars. By the time round 11 rolls around it'll be 1st against 10th, not 3rd. Very happy we've avoided the 3.20pm Sunday slot thus far. Don't know what the NT have done wrong to get two back to back GC games against North and Hawthorn. I thought we were trying to promote footy up there.
  22. I was there and stayed until mid way through the third quarter. No 29 for Willy was niggling him all night. That and some pretty trash service from further up the ground for much of the game might explain why he reacted as he did. Looks like we're stuck with his understudy for another week.
  23. Looking like a huge upset by the Suns against this year’s flag favourites 🤣
  24. Suns threatening to cough this game up.
  25. It’s surprisingly entertaining watching two teams constantly mess up things our players can do in their sleep these days.
