  1. Turf being laid down at Goschs as we speak. Will upload a couple of images after my bike ride if I can make the files small enough for the DL site.
  2. Mick Malthouse has just tipped MySpace to make a comeback.
  3. Collingwood proving to be slightly less rubbish than the Bombers thus far.
  4. Sheesh. Just watched the replay and looking forward to the post game analysis when they cross to that unwatchable crud called Bounce instead.
  5. I was having a pre game drink at the Pullman and saw Lingers cycle past in his training gear at around 5pm. He had to stop first in line at a red light at the corner of Clarendon St and Wellington Parade to the delight of a little girl and her dad who were crossing at the time.
  6. I hope that’s the last game we try and win playing at 30% capacity.
  7. Maybe in their weight division BBO. They need to beef up though if they want to go toe to toe with the heavyweight champions of the AFL.
  8. Blues on the ropes in this featherweight title match.
  9. Of course it is. It's a Carlton jumper.
  10. Back to Willie Wonka's chocolate factory for Caleb Daniel.
  11. That's brilliant Skuit. I found that the further north and south you got away from Dublin the sillier the accents became. Cork and Ulster being the extremes. My girlfriend at the time was dutch so I didn't have a translator at my beck and call like you but she did have a bit of an Irish accent courtesy of a six month stint working at a bar called the Horseshoe down in Kenmare a year or two before we met.
  12. Hi WCW. I've actually known people from as far west in London as Roehampton and as far east in Kent as Margate do the same so there are some outliers. Ormond isn't one of them though so I have no idea where Max picked it up from. Incidentally, in Ireland (I know you're Irish) they drop the h a lot and say ting instead of thing. I lived in Dublin for 5 years and enjoyed listening to the different accents. All accept one guy that worked in the mail room from somewhere north of the river who I could not understand a word of what he ever said. I couldn't have a conversation with him unless there was a third person with me to translate. It was like Klunk in that Stop the Pigeon cartoon with Dastardly & Muttley.
  13. I watched an episode where they were playing Who wants to be a Millionaire. Max had to answer a question about rivers and he butchered the names of all four answers, pronouncing the Danube as Danoobee, even though he'd been to Vienna where it runs through.
  14. If GWS had played as well as they did last week when we hammered them they'd probably be in front tonight. Very frustrating.
  15. If I had to pick someone to kick a goal to save Jack Higgins' life I'd nominate Max King.
  16. Dad's Army? I wonder how New Zealanders fare when they go up there? I can't imagine the locals take too kindly to being called Sh!tland Islanders.
  17. I think we need Preussy to run through Higgins like a freight train.
  18. Curiously along with Shetland they are the only constituency in Scotland that always votes Liberal Democrat at every election, resulting in absolute fannies like Alistair Carmichael representing us at Wasteminster.
  19. Please tell me again about the Tom Green marquee.
  20. There's actually people there. GWS should just move lock, stock & barrel to Canberra. I doubt anyone in Sydney would notice the removal truck leave.
  21. Well if we can't work out what the side will look like then good luck in Richmond trying to. I guess we'll all know by the time the VFL game starts. The Tiges haven't been any better than us at centre bounce clearances so Viney being out might hurt less this week than others.
  22. Well, the pecking order in the back line has become a little clearer but Brown, McDonald and Weideman up front? Tom Sparrow to take Viney's spot in the middle? As for the oppo other than Rioli I've never heard of any of their ins.
  23. Hi everyone. This popped up in my youtube selections tonight so I thought I'd share it. The interviewer Dylan Buckley played for GSW and Carlton, I think. The interview is an hour long.
