  1. Hi Jaded. I'm of course speaking about why I like that we play in Hobart. I don't think Maxy was too complimentary of the surface in our last game but North play there four times a year and I can't recollect any major injuries they've suffered over that time so I'd put it down to coincidence. By way of comparison Rick Lever's ruptured ACL and T-Mac's Lisfranc were both done at Docklands. The exact same injuries as Tommo and Petts.
  2. I might be in the minority but I'm hoping we play down in Hobart again as it's a great long weekend. The flight is less than an hour and there's no feral opposition fan base to contend with inside the ground, unlike SA and WA away.
  3. Things could always be worse. Imagine living in a place where Celtic have won 10 of the last 11 league titles 😩
  4. Bears on fire.
  5. Beautiful "football act" from Lincoln McCarthy.
  6. LOL. Cox. What a muppet.
  7. Has there ever been a sporting organisation associated with so many reprehensible human beings as Collingwood? From boofhead Eddie at the top right down to No 1 superfan and convicted nonce Joffa at the bottom.
  8. You could've written the same thing forty years ago.
  9. I think Brisbane will [censored] the bed, Collingwood will win pretty convincingly and we will all look back on a badly missed opportunity.
  10. I think we need a projectile vomit emoji after seeing that image.
  11. I’m not that bothered. I quite like having a whole row to ourselves in the Tridents area on a match day. Makes getting in and out for a beer very easy and short queues.
  12. I don't see how either of the King boys solves our goal kicking inaccuracy problem.
  13. Quite fitting that Kiss have the half time gig this year. Will be an absolute bogan fest.
  14. Fair play to the Bears. We would have kicked 7.17 and lost by 4 points.
  15. Fitzroy at least look to have stopped Carlton's momentum with around 5 minutes left in that 1st quarter and will need to start chipping away at that deficit now. Home crowd seem a bit stunned and intimidated by the large travelling contingent of a real football club instead of the frankenstein outfit they follow.
  16. A bit like Sinatra, Max could play out his twilight years in rucking duets with his industry peers.
  17. Enough with the melodrama already.
  18. I don't want to see the words key forward and operation in the same sentence ever again.
  19. I don't understand the calls to replace Goody. He took a different approach from last year by promoting youth (which worked) and not playing banged up players (mostly). If nothing else he deserves a lot of credit for playing two of our most maligned players who helped us secure a top four finish (Melksham) and almost gained us a preliminary final place (Smith). He also persisted with Petts as a forward who I think (injuries notwithstanding) could well be the tall, strong, mobile presence we need up there. I love how he gives the press corps almost nothing and backs our boys publicly. He's the reason all our stars committed to long term deals and why the best from other clubs want to join us. The Gawn - Grundy combo didn't ultimately work because neither are great resting forwards but having BG helped us win games when Max missed a month. We'll also look after him in any trade that sees him leave and we'll lose no capital or friends in doing it. We lost 9 games by a collective total of 81 points. That's 9 points a game on average and one of those was by three times that figure. Injury deprived us of Petts & Melky at the pointy end of the season and Ben Brown's degenerative knee will likely see him hang up his boots, leaving us to rely on a very underdone T-Mac and Fritta who was playing with a plate in his foot. Far from ideal yet we almost completely dominated territory and possession in both our finals. I'm sure Macrae and Voss both feel like they've won the lottery right now. I really don't know much about the tactical side of AFL football tbh and lean a lot on some of the regulars on here to help make sense of what I see each week. Maybe my one strength is not making daft comments about things I don't really understand.
  20. Something weird going on with the ticket allocations tonight. I sat in M55 which was a Melbourne bay party filled with Carlton supporters and had three bays of entire Carlton either side as well. Are clubs with huge "memberships" just selecting our allocation when they can't find any left under their own?
  21. When all is said and done. More is said than done.
  22. I thought this thread was going to be about Aston Villa 😂
  23. Supports Celtic and Collingwood. What do you expect?
  24. Collingwood. A scumbag organisation from top to bottom.
  25. Me too. I was in N54 last week, very close to my regular seat. We needed 7 seats this week and it took the best part of an hour to get into the system so ended up on the lower level.
