  1. With Nibbler's addition to the covid list I now admit to being a tad concerned about today. If our defensive game is up to scratch however I expect we'll do enough up front to leave the G with 4 points. The sooner in the game we get beyond the 70 point barrier the more relaxed I'll be.
  2. I think when on the G&G podcast he said he had no idea why Fremantle were named the Dockers and had never heard of the Fremantle Doctor.
  3. Not necessarily talking about Luke here but in contrast to other codes AFL footballers seem far more reluctant to ply their trade away from their home town. Could you imagine Cristiano Ronaldo wanting to head back to Madeira after his year on the mainland with Sporting Lisbon to be closer to family ? "Ronnie, we've got Alex Ferguson on the phone, he wants to bring you to Man U. Do you fancy it?" "Nah, I'm off back to Funchal 'coz I miss my mammy". As for Luke who knows what he's thinking. Maybe the night sky is clearer over in WA.
  4. They need to get in line behind Carlton and St Kilda.
  5. At this rate Richmond will be in the 8 tonight and could still be there at the end of the round.
  6. Are all of these Riolis related or is it the indigenous equivalent of Smith or Jones ?
  7. Wonder how many of the WC crowd will have jumped ship to their newly adopted second team come round 9.
  8. Optus Stadium is half empty. What a bunch of fair weather glory hunters their supporter base is. Not something we could ever be accused of thankfully. Win or lose we don't turn up.
  9. Hopefully Collingwood's season has well and truly been kicked into the long grass by the time QB comes around. It's their home game and I don't want to be in the vicinity of their unwashed masses. Two Essendon Friday night games make a mockery of the rolling fixture and it's supposed showcasing of the game of the round. As for our games I have no problem with the dates & times. We don't turn up in great numbers regardless of when our game is.
  10. Thanks guys. Whatever I do I can only get it down to around 36kb and I've tried on the lightroom app as well. Never mind. They should have it all grassed by next week I imagine.
  11. If anyone has any tips on how to get some pics from my iphone down to the minuscule 25kb allowed to upload onto this site I can add a couple of pics of the grass being laid.
  12. From a positive perspective how demoralised will the rest of the competition be if we get up this week without our coach and another three of our better players.
  13. I thought that Clarry bought a house in Camberwell recently, don’t know if he has the other two boys living there though.
  14. Turf being laid down at Goschs as we speak. Will upload a couple of images after my bike ride if I can make the files small enough for the DL site.
  15. Mick Malthouse has just tipped MySpace to make a comeback.
  16. Collingwood proving to be slightly less rubbish than the Bombers thus far.
  17. Sheesh. Just watched the replay and looking forward to the post game analysis when they cross to that unwatchable crud called Bounce instead.
  18. I was having a pre game drink at the Pullman and saw Lingers cycle past in his training gear at around 5pm. He had to stop first in line at a red light at the corner of Clarendon St and Wellington Parade to the delight of a little girl and her dad who were crossing at the time.
  19. I hope that’s the last game we try and win playing at 30% capacity.
  20. Maybe in their weight division BBO. They need to beef up though if they want to go toe to toe with the heavyweight champions of the AFL.
  21. Blues on the ropes in this featherweight title match.
  22. Of course it is. It's a Carlton jumper.
  23. Back to Willie Wonka's chocolate factory for Caleb Daniel.
  24. That's brilliant Skuit. I found that the further north and south you got away from Dublin the sillier the accents became. Cork and Ulster being the extremes. My girlfriend at the time was dutch so I didn't have a translator at my beck and call like you but she did have a bit of an Irish accent courtesy of a six month stint working at a bar called the Horseshoe down in Kenmare a year or two before we met.
