  1. I think AJ is what the team needs right now so I'm happy for him to be in the side. Kozzie's acceleration from a standing start is ridiculous. As for Maximus I'm going to savour every moment this guy pulls on our jumper as we'll probably never see anyone like him again.
  2. I haven't been to the SCG since they had the grassy hill behind the goals and only Perth once when we kicked 2 goals 8 and got belted in the opening game of the season. Was at Carrara for our first ever game against the Bears when we lost by 5 points but not since and have never been to the Gabba. Spent 24 hours in Darwin to see Weeds [censored] the bed 15 metres out directly in front and cost us a win. Made my first visit to Adelaide Oval recently for a win against the Crows and have been to Hobart a few times now.
  3. I didn't notice him until he coughed up the ball for one of our goals in the last quarter. At least he's getting a game every week now I guess.
  4. If anyone is ever looking for a good pre-game meal the Builders Arms does a lovely 1/2kg of mussels washed down with a Guinness. Get in early for a table. Lots of Swans supporters today though.
  5. Swans have a very good record again us down here. This one will come down to whoever wants it more I think. Either way itโ€™s another glorious autumnal day for a game of football. Iโ€™d have preferred the 1.20pm start time though given the choice.
  6. I was just thinking the same thing DD. Always seems to be the absolute minimum nod towards SDNR.
  7. Did the Hawthorn bench just hold up a painting?
  8. I've been to a few games down there and on my last visit walked around where the ground is going to be built. It's location is just outside the southern edge of the CBD and harbour so dead easy to get to for anyone that owns a pair of legs. Has to be a million % better than the current option that requires a twice daily footy special ferry or taxi ride to get to and from.
  9. WTF? Disappointed in this. T-Mac has been great down back this year.
  10. If there's anything that should go it's the rort that is priority picks. If you're shรฎtรฉ you're shรฎtรฉ. Deal with it.
  11. This just popped up in my youtube feed. Never seen it before.
  12. I thought that happened after he broke loose for his goal in the 2nd quarter not when he dump kicked the ball out of play? By the way thanks to Daz for watching that tripe so the rest of us don't have to.
  13. As we're currently in the midst of the two Sir Doug Nicholls rounds I have a question somebody could maybe answer. At the start of the live telecasts on Fox / Kayo they pay their respects to elders past and present. I'm pretty sure it was a common thing to pay respects to elders past, present and future / emerging. Any reason for the change?
  14. The Buddies? Very good. They have a very physical side right now. Aidan Johnson wouldn't look out of place up front or as a central defender. You don't like the weather but you're coming back to Melbourne in July? The south east corner of England gets really good summers so you could always flit down there. Embra is a lovely city to live in though. Absolutely dripping in history. Do they still do the torchlight procession up to Calton Hill around Hogmanay when they burn a viking longship?
  15. That's a cracker of a bingo card you've got there RIF.
  16. McVee. Anyone that prevents us having to listen to John Denver deserves coaches votes.
  17. You a hibee or a jambo, Kiltie?
  18. Whilst a number of our old heads cost us early with their fumbling, in contrast our young brigade are so cool in the moment, clean in their ball handling and precise with their disposal. An absolute joy to watch. Melky take a bow. Fantastic anticipation from AJ to boot that crucial goal. Very envious of the supporters that made the trip up there. Enjoy your night.
  19. Here's hoping we're seven goals up at 3qtr time ๐Ÿคž
  20. Wasn't it MW that convinced Goody that it would be a bad idea not to let Koz spend a chunk of the pre-season back in WA? If he can be convinced to sign a contract extension it will virtually ensure that all of his best years will be in a red & blue guernsey and that his offspring are locked in as father son / daughter picks.
  21. Eet smakelijk CHF.
  22. Lots of Essendon supporters catching an early train back to Broady tonight.
  23. This game is a joy to watch. JUH now just a distant figure in the Dogs rear view mirror.
  24. I don't think it's a given WWSW. There was plenty of smoke around Lachie Neale and Chad Warner. Just that denials mean nothing in the scheme of things. Almost uniquely, supporters of both the WA and SA teams tend to lose their collective [censored] at the suggestion of one of their players leaving. Even Tex gave Rick a drive by. It might be why the players and their clubs feel the need to double down on these stories in-season.
  25. I remember Rick Lever was never leaving until he did. Our recruiters knew he was on his way to us half way through that season.
