This doesn't surprise me. He was on his way to Collingwood from GC before we turned his head back whenever it was. They also had no issues in recruiting a surplus to our requirements Lynden Dunn to fill a backline role a few years ago. This guy has done everything in the game except lead his own AFL side and by all accounts had a terrific interview. There are no guarantees in life anyway so I'm just excited to see what he will bring to our famous football club. As for NB, if he really was our guy we would have waited another week. Or wouldn't have interviewed anyone else. The media anointed him our next coach, not the panel we assembled and like everyone not employed by the MFC he will continue take up 0% of my thoughts.
