  1. Last night looked a bit like the Bulldogs game where we could've lost by a lot more if the opposition had finished better in front of goal. Our midfield was non-existent (somewhat understandably) and that's been the big issue for much of the year. With Brayshaw, Oliver, Petracca and Viney in the side the other coach ends up playing whack-a-mole but it's a different story with only Vines (being tagged?) in there. It wasn't just that though as Collingwood mostly owned us on the outside and in the air as well. It's difficult to gauge where we are as a side right now with key players missing and Windsor and McVee aside, not really knowing how much upside the rest of the young group has yet. Looking back it seems like we spent the whole season trying to play Harry Petty into form in the senior team for a measly 9 goal return.
  2. I thought the same. Nibbler was in and out of the side until we were able to find the right role for him and it clicked. Same with Nev Jetta. Let's hope for a similar outcome here.
  3. LOL. Just saw this thread pop up and thought we’d just re-signed Bill for ANOTHER 2 years. 😂
  4. Who cares. It’s a popularity contest.
  5. I'm glad it's our home game so I don't have sit anywhere near the puddle drinkers. If only I didn't have to breathe the same air as them for three hours.
  6. Long before BBB we had Big Bad Billy Bennett. I think it was Brad Sparks that started calling him Billy. Once upon a time all we had were the occasional days out like this one to to give us hope that one day our fortunes would maybe change.
  7. Hi Titan. I thought he did on the podcast episode he did with Ben Gibson?
  8. Regardless of what happens going forward surely it’s a given that Trac asked about a trade. TM was emphatic that he had and anyone concerned about their own brand as much as he seems to be would have shot that down in a heartbeat if it wasn’t true. As mentioned by another poster on here he likely asked his manager the question and was told to forget it. Which hasn’t stopped him or someone close to him making it public. Everything since then has looked like a well orchestrated exercise in damage control by he and the club.
  9. Could this be the resurrection of the North Melbourne 'war chest' of yesteryear? When they trawled the competition for A grade talent with big money contracts only to find Jared Polec snarled in their net when they pulled it in.
  10. But.....weather and....buses and....stuff.
  11. You forgot the food stall they offered him at Grazeland.
  12. We're a high performance sporting organisation, not the Waltons.
  13. We're discussing Trac's salad days Stu.
  14. All in good thyme Gawndy.
  15. If only there were a sage in the house to make sense of it all.
  16. Looks like he's buying into coriander whilst it's share price is low.
  17. Stop giving Geelong ideas.
  18. He's negotiating a large coriander purchase. Relax, WCW is all over this.
  19. Aw shucks...not even a couple of pebbles? Some pea gravel?
  20. As much as it would be hard to see him in another club's guernsey if the counterweight was too enticing to knock back I'd be open to it on the one proviso that we don't trade him to Collingwood, which is almost certainly his preferred destination. It would actually be pretty funny to see his family have to front up to Marvel every second week in navy blue and white colours for the next five years. How 'bout them apples!
  21. I'd estimate that 90% of the barneys that people have on this site are simply down to a lack of nuance in what they're trying to say.
  22. As disappointing as it is to see Carlton win they have at least made it virtually impossible for Collingwood to squeeze into a finals position now. Also, even a win against St.K next week is likely see the Blues travel to the Gabba for an elimination final.
  23. I have no idea who this guy is but he makes me burst out laughing every time someone posts it 🤣
  24. Like Paolo Maldini and Richard Gough the guy is meticulous in how he looks after himself and there is no reason why he can't play to a high level for the next three years.
