Lots of players are still training over the Xmas break. I run or cycle most days and usually stop at Whitten Oval to do some stretches and I've twice seen Harmesy there with some other Dogs players doing short sprints and timed laps. Yesterday it was Tim English and Rhylee West doing the same. It's a lovely ground these days by the way and the playing surface is immaculate.
  2. If we have a good run with injuries I'm confident we'll finish top 4 and have another tilt at a flag. I couldn't care less where anyone else finishes although Pies and Blues missing finals would be nice I guess.
  3. I think I read a little while back that the person he's about to get married to is settled in Sydney with her own young family and would be staying there. That may have changed of course but doesn't his contract run out at the end of the 2025 season? If so there's been no talk of an extension yet.
  4. Same here Roost. To me it's a way of telling us he'll be a Dee without actually saying it. Didn't his old man comment (with a wink) about how good he looked in our guernsey on one of the club's insta posts a little while back too? No mention ever about how good he looked in Gold Coast's monstrous colours that I'm aware of.
  5. Not so much a Spurs thing but one dynamic that is very different between football and Australian Rules, particularly in the English Premier League and the Championship is promotion and relegation as well as European football qualification for the elite clubs. The financial implications of which can make a massive difference to a manager's tenure. In AFL a club gets rewarded with the best young player in the country for finishing bottom. As an aside we really should have put Spurs away the other night at Ibrox. Ange can trot out all the all the injury soundbites he likes but his club has a transfer budget 100 times bigger than ours thanks to tv money and leveraged debt.

By all accounts it was a small private occasion for immediate family and friends. Much like our home games.

Perhaps the second oval will have Kardinia Park's dimensions and that's also why we could easily fit both inside the racetrack.

As bad as the Q&A was I'll definitely tune in next year just to see if the questions asked are even more mental that this years.

    Quality not quantity LH. 😆

I found the suggestion about building a retirement village for our supporters out at Caulfield convinced me......to vote for mandatory euthanasia at the age of 70 if it ever gets to parliament.

I might go next year and ask if we're against genetically modified crops and suggest we open a cat cafe at Casey Fields.

It could have been a Guinness Book of Records attempt to fit the most amount of stupid people in the one room at the same time.

Geez, I'm 11 minutes into watching the Q&A session from the other night online and it's a hard watch. Is it always complete peanuts that hog the microphone at these events?

That's the worst spell of weather we've had for a while QD. 😆

I catch up with my dad for brunch each month at the cafe under the grandstand. The oval itself looks great but that’s its only redeeming feature. Other than there being an Ibrox Street just outside the ground.
  16. Supports Collingwood apparently. Can't get any lower than that.
  17. Work commitments haven't allowed me to get down to Goschs for a look yet but the more I read about Harvey Langford the more I wonder if we're looking at the next Trac and the thought of seeing in the same side has me salivating.
  18. Hopefully that's all he was doing. 😬
  19. The jig is up for North down there so I doubt that’ll be the case hardtack. With one preseason game in Perth already they’ll want to have at least one hit out in front of their own supporters surely? Of course it could be that it’s played at Casey which may as well be in Tassie for most of us.
  20. North get another ‘home’ game in Perth. Lucky them. I hope our game against them is at Arden St and not in the @rse end of Cranbourne.
  21. Inspired by these training reports I've just dropped the $10 gift I received from a betting app on the Dees to win the flag.
  22. Any clash guernsey that isn't white or grey will be fine. Happy enough with our current 1975-1986 retro royal blue version though.
  23. I work with a rusted on ex South Melbourne supporter who regularly goes to watch them up in Sydney as he is one of our sales reps. He said that there's a big difference in the mindset of both sets of supporters. The Victorian based ex South supporters are very grateful for all Horse has done for the club whilst the Champagne Charlies that go watch them up there just want to win and be entertained all the time.
  24. All good Luci. I'd like this to be a safe space for anyone to post what they think on here. It stands for Brand Petracca 5. Just my little infantile dig.
  25. Hi DeeZone. No, I'm just looking at the facts. He wanted out but we're holding him to his contract. He's a winner and he wants success. If he can't get it with us he'll try and get it somewhere else. That's fine, but I don't have to like or admire him for it. I don't know why anyone else is bothered about what I think about him to be honest. It's just an opinion like everyone else's on here.
