I just had a look and if the track is to connect Cheltenham and Clayton stations it would actually go through Heatherton as the crow flies which is a little further to the west but with no station planned there (for now at least).

I went past it the other day and it's as much in the @rse end of nowhere as Casey Fields is. It's location might be OK for players located Bayside but if they plan on playing any VFL / AFWL games or allowing the public in for training days the nearest public transport is miles away.

It seems to me that there's a sweet spot of one to two years where recently retired players in the media can be really good to listen to before they defer to their paymasters and crank up the innuendo and controversial comments.
