  1. You'd have to wonder what Schache must be thinking if Disco is potentially ahead of him as a forward option.
  2. I suspect that they will just try and nurse Ben Brown's knee through training each week so that he'd be good enough to go if T-Mac get's injured again. Even if it's just for a single game, as he'd be our last back-up. I can't envisage a forward set up with them both playing.
  3. If you're gut is giving you bad thoughts it's probably to do with it's lack of good microbiome and the effect that's having on your brain. I'd try adding some fermented foods to your diet this week like blue cheese, kimchi and a variety of green vegetables washed down with copious amounts of black coffee, guinness and quality red wine that are all rich in polyphenols.
  4. But, but, but......it was a football act! It happened in the act of him playing football.
  5. I actually think we'll do enough to get over the line. Just. The following week is another matter though. Cheering on the Power tonight.
  6. When in Melbourne they book the broom cupboard at the Mountain View Hotel for after game functions.
  7. Despite our forward issues I actually think our leaders will be laser focussed this week to ensure we don't go out in straight sets again.
  8. You just know that 90% of those GWS supporters in the crowd must be player family members.
  9. Sniping maggot is obviously desperate to play in a GF. Well he can GAGF.
  10. Having listened to all of the various arguments over the last day or two I'm probably in the camp that favours novichok poisoning. Happy to be dissuaded though.
  11. Just as in 1990. If Collingwood bully and scrap their way to a premiership this year it'll be on us.
  12. When we emigrated here I was enrolled at our nearest high school, Cleeland High in Dandenong. Virtually every kid followed Collingwood and had a duffle coat with either Daicos, Moore or Kink on the back. They also all loved an American glam rock band called Kiss. I'd heard of neither and took an instant dislike to both.
  13. Love it. It's actually quite difficult to try and write how they are each said. By pronouncing ch as you would in the word loch (or Strachan 😉) the closest I can get is probably uchert and facher.
  14. Hi JD. It defies logic but does explain how that pronunciation ended up over here I guess. Are you sure you don't mean Strahan perhaps which sounds like it might be Irish?
  15. I like it when people try and pronounce the surnames Urquhart or Farquhar. I just picture a tourist walking into an Edinburgh pub and announce he's looking for a Mr Faar Kwaar only for the place to go quiet and Begbie to appear. Another unusual one is the surname Dalziel which is actually pronounced D L.
  16. I'm baffled as to why the surname Strachan gets pronounced as Strawn over here.
  17. Gorgeous weather this weekend means ticking off some of the outdoor chores that have been waiting to get done. Managed to wash down all the white weatherboards and sash windows, mow the lawn and plant some stipa arundinacea perennial grass in the garden which should look great by next autumn. Time to get some rays now before the working week begins. Definitely a fan of the pre finals bye.
  18. He turned up for a meeting at Goody's house to find Hinkley, Butters and Rozee there 😆
  19. Old Firm game on Sunday will fill the void.
  20. Pies torn a new one. More of the same next Thursday please.
  21. I think he signed on with GC as he's originally from that area. He was probably offered decent coin to move and from memory I think Dimma was disappointed to lose him at that time. Clearly not in his plans now though.
