  1. I thought the same. Nibbler was in and out of the side until we were able to find the right role for him and it clicked. Same with Nev Jetta. Let's hope for a similar outcome here.
  2. LOL. Just saw this thread pop up and thought we’d just re-signed Bill for ANOTHER 2 years. 😂
  3. Who cares. It’s a popularity contest.

I'm glad it's our home game so I don't have sit anywhere near the puddle drinkers. If only I didn't have to breathe the same air as them for three hours.
  5. Long before BBB we had Big Bad Billy Bennett. I think it was Brad Sparks that started calling him Billy. Once upon a time all we had were the occasional days out like this one to to give us hope that one day our fortunes would maybe change.
  6. Could this be the resurrection of the North Melbourne 'war chest' of yesteryear? When they trawled the competition for A grade talent with big money contracts only to find Jared Polec snarled in their net when they pulled it in.

    But.....weather and....buses and....stuff.
  8. Diamond geezer.
  9. I'd estimate that 90% of the barneys that people have on this site are simply down to a lack of nuance in what they're trying to say.

As disappointing as it is to see Carlton win they have at least made it virtually impossible for Collingwood to squeeze into a finals position now. Also, even a win against St.K next week is likely see the Blues travel to the Gabba for an elimination final.
  11. I have no idea who this guy is but he makes me burst out laughing every time someone posts it 🤣
  12. Like Paolo Maldini and Richard Gough the guy is meticulous in how he looks after himself and there is no reason why he can't play to a high level for the next three years.

It's time to commence operation Keep Carlton & Collingwood Out of the Finals. Will be cheering for the Dogs, Hawks, WC, us, Saints and Dockers in the final game of the season next week.
  14. CG crumbled under the pressure of achieving........ an 11 win season. Dermie trying to compare Disco to JMW Turner was one of the more surreal things I've heard in a footy commentary.
  15. How good was that! Very proud of the boys today. Vines and Max immense and lots of nice cameos too. We wiped the floor with them it has to be said.
  16. Who said I expected him to say anything else? Or say anything at all for that matter. I'm not part of the angry mob demanding answers or that heads roll.
  17. I merely said it was waffle. Which it was. You disagree?
  18. Mostly waffle.
  19. It's ironic that North's problems all started when they jettisoned most of their veteran leaders.

Hi Dingo. He's hinted himself that he took less than market value when he signed his last contract in order to ensure there was enough left in the kitty to re-sign the likes of Gus and Vines to long term deals when other clubs were sniffing around them both. He might only have one year left on that contract (I think?) but I think he could play for another three at a high level, making it less than likely that we target another No.1 ruckman for at least two of those years.

Maxy took unders on his last contract so we could re-sign our other stars on long deals and will play for another 3 years if he remains uninjured. I actually thought that Petts did really well playing as our tall marking outlet from defence when Max dropped back.
  22. If our members are genuinely not turning up for some of the ridiculous reasons I've been reading on here today then we should definitely be dishing out finals tickets based on how many games you turn up to and not how much money your membership costs.
