I don't think I've been truly excited about the club since I was a kid and used to to get to the ground for 11am and watch the ground slowly fill up whilst watching the ressies. I do enjoy the anticipation of a new season though when the days get shorter, the leaves start to change colour and cricket pitches around the city get replaced with goalposts.

I sure as hell would have been there to see it in the flesh if not for covid TU but it was still glorious from 3,000km away. I have a feeling that the competing teams each get around 17,000 tickets which excluding glory hunters, fair weathers and everyone that surely wouldn't have gone because of our boring game style is about right for us.

Cream getting a gig on the back of a great main session today. Kept a clean sheet playing in goal and saved a Salo penalty when he tried a Panenka.

I'm not sure that Rick has the same presence or relatability as Max and he's also quite injury prone as well. At the end of the day it's the squad that makes the decision anyway isn't it? I'd be surprised if it was BP5 that takes over when Max steps down but if we start to see him ramp up his club media presence throughout the year it might hint towards that being the intention.

I felt buoyed when I heard him speak today but I've also seen our last five games. Four of which were extraordinarily bad.
