1 mil a week of Pfizer arriving now. Sydney mass vax just opened for more Pfizer - brother in law confirmed booked for next week after waiting 4 weeks. Linking to footy - this means we should be able to go to the footy now.

Your previous post re: restrictions: there are currently LGA and 10km restrictions. I make no comment on the appropriateness of 10k v 5k, merely make the observation. Lost the plot is quite a contentious assertion and implies quite a number of things - perhaps it might be more accurate to say they can't keep up with the volume? Which of course is a function of people moving around, which CT can't control. It's worth remembering these are actual people doing this - I know some of them. I am in regional NSW in the northern border bubble and would prefer a ring of steel approach and more stringent lockdown, 4 weeks ago. So as to avoid any perception this isn't about footy: I now can't get to theGold Coast Dees game (yes I unpacked my miniature Stradivarius). Disclosure: no political commentary. Not picking a fight, just highlighting some operational parameters.

Citation required on following: NSW taking bulk of inbound travellers? (If that's what was meant by heavy lifting. Discl: am in NSW outside Sydney, hurry up with the ring of steel already!) What a mess. No more games in NSW this year, probably? Sydney and GWS won't be going home till they're knocked out?
  4. Why is 100 the magic number? Genuine q. 90, 93 and 98 seem handy. 93 and 98 in particular, lots of shots on goal

We wouldn't need to quarantine ex WC back to Vic, which suits the final round v Geelong. I wonder if there are plans to run Dogs, Adelaide and Geelong in Vic, now, then Suns-WCE, pre final bye, finals....

    Things look dicey eh https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/all-stops-to-be-pulled-out-to-keep-the-grand-final-at-mcg-20210722-p58c06.html
  7. Bulldogs != Lions Again - Bevo probably knows what he’s doing bit of hubris about
  8. Beautifully written.
  9. Yeah so I am guessing Beveridge probably knows what he is doing Remember H1 Lions game - talls taking marks at will
  10. Couple here were saying Maynard a done deal to the Dees.

QLD-NSW border shut from Friday, some exceptions for NNSW border zone. For NNSW residents, this includes attendance at games (ie Gold Coast, Gabba) but peculiarly, doesn't exclude shopping for personal needs (YES officer, new golf clubs from Drummond ARE a personal need related to exercise). Stadia attendance capped at 20k.

If people are going to post nonsensical articles from partisan papers - which are seeking to deflect blame from the real source - then that is a political post that merits a for-like response. Otherwise, all that happens is that nonsense is propogated - as have seen in other posts where some posters appear to be parroting said nonsense or taking it as gospel, or else polticising largely apolitical identies (like QLD's CHO). Anyway, it's good to know where the line is. Nonsense from the partisan AFR is ok. The topic either allows non political content or it doesn't. If it doesn't, aforementioned nonsense ought also be removed. Ends.

I am well aware of that - it is semi-rhetorical. What I am saying is in Vic there seems to be a cultural/societal trend not to do this, c.f NSW. I don't live in Sydney, but am ex Mel,.

Good news for Viccos! Woot. Here in NSW, we have too many out and about when infectious (presumably some symptomatic). Why is that I wonder.

So both Lord Nev and I are both unable to address the obvious issue with this article - it’s from the AFR. Jeepers.

    Why was my post deleted?!
  18. Case to be made for Melk and his zany visionary sideways kicks into 50. Or Jones when fit. He seems a calm head (feel free to correct me)
  19. Paging Saty, paging Saty. https://demonland.com/forums/topic/43797-go-and-get-gaff/page/105/ The Suns have put their first rounder on the table? What # is that?! Paging Jason Taylor to spin that into some sort of unbelievable outcome. Maybe he can turn Weid into Josh Kelly and a 2nd rounder in, Weid + change out.

Can we just be clear on this please? Almost everyone is eligible for AZ, now. Of course ATAGI's advice is AZ preferred for +60s, but you are eligible to get it. https://www.health.gov.au/resources/apps-and-tools/covid-19-vaccine-eligibility-checker I agree on your point about no jab-no entry. It must only be enforced after everyone is able to access the ATAGI recommended vaccine for their group. Unfortunately, that will be a long ways off. I posted this on another business related forum on an article related to Scotty Skitterbrook's Newspoll crash and the potential timing of his calling of the election. -- The election has to be held before May innit? Don’t think borders will be open by then. Look, let’s be honest. The LNP – Morrison in particular – could not organise a r00t in a brothel even with a suitcase full of gorillas and accompanied by Justin Bieber. We’re getting 1mill Pfizer per month now apparently – that covers 500k people with first/second doses and no waste. The 18-39 population all states is 4.012M**, so that covers 12% of that population month on month. There is no vaccination data by vaccine/age group so covering 12% per month (no waste) let’s assume 5% of that population is done – 95% left – that is 8 more months assuming 1million Pfizer per month, no change in population to that age group (that doesn’t include 1A by the way), no waste – so that puts us at, say, March 2022. Superunknown confidence low. Accounting for unvaccinated 1A, let’s add another 2 months. Hoocoodanode, that is May, when the election is due. RUHROH Meanwhile Moderna is due to arrive EOCY2021 – 10 million for first dose and second dose configured for variants in first HALF of 2022 qty 15 million. Eligibility to be confirmed. I imagine there are some very terse convos happening behind the scenes. Source**: https://www.abs.gov.au/statistics/people/population/national-state-and-territory-population/dec-2020#data-downloads-data-cubes == All of that to say, a no jab no play policy can't (shouldn't) be established until a large proportion of the population has had their second shot. Epidemiologists/etc say this should be 80-90%, not the 60% used in the UK (let's see where they are 4-6 weeks after Freedom Day, could be a sh$tshow). So that is next year, maybe early in the season, or maybe not, depending on your view of vaccine supply and the Feds' ability to fix the rollout issues to date.
  21. Apparently to Tigers, though C. Wilson thinks not according to Age RFP. Josh Kelly please.
  22. Vic 22 today. This is results from infections 3-14 days prior yes? (Not sure of delta incubation to symptoms, so feel free to correct me). Will get worse before better. QLD or WA I think.
  23. Stop being so data driven, it is doing my data driven head in. :D I look at the Tigers - do I trust them more or us....probably better to ask a Tiger's supporter :D

Hasn't rugby league just gone into hubs with families? Yes they have, families must quarantine for 2 weeks before entering bubble Might be a smart move to do it now whilst there's no quarantine in some areas....or some loopholes (NNSW)
  25. Superunknown replied to Demonland's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
    Aware of that.
