COVID & AFL 2021
Good news for Viccos! Woot. Here in NSW, we have too many out and about when infectious (presumably some symptomatic). Why is that I wonder.

So both Lord Nev and I are both unable to address the obvious issue with this article - it’s from the AFR. Jeepers.

Paging Saty, paging Saty. https://demonland.com/forums/topic/43797-go-and-get-gaff/page/105/ The Suns have put their first rounder on the table? What # is that?! Paging Jason Taylor to spin that into some sort of unbelievable outcome. Maybe he can turn Weid into Josh Kelly and a 2nd rounder in, Weid + change out.

COVID & AFL 2021
Can we just be clear on this please? Almost everyone is eligible for AZ, now. Of course ATAGI's advice is AZ preferred for +60s, but you are eligible to get it. https://www.health.gov.au/resources/apps-and-tools/covid-19-vaccine-eligibility-checker I agree on your point about no jab-no entry. It must only be enforced after everyone is able to access the ATAGI recommended vaccine for their group. Unfortunately, that will be a long ways off. I posted this on another business related forum on an article related to Scotty Skitterbrook's Newspoll crash and the potential timing of his calling of the election. -- The election has to be held before May innit? Don’t think borders will be open by then. Look, let’s be honest. The LNP – Morrison in particular – could not organise a r00t in a brothel even with a suitcase full of gorillas and accompanied by Justin Bieber. We’re getting 1mill Pfizer per month now apparently – that covers 500k people with first/second doses and no waste. The 18-39 population all states is 4.012M**, so that covers 12% of that population month on month. There is no vaccination data by vaccine/age group so covering 12% per month (no waste) let’s assume 5% of that population is done – 95% left – that is 8 more months assuming 1million Pfizer per month, no change in population to that age group (that doesn’t include 1A by the way), no waste – so that puts us at, say, March 2022. Superunknown confidence low. Accounting for unvaccinated 1A, let’s add another 2 months. Hoocoodanode, that is May, when the election is due. RUHROH Meanwhile Moderna is due to arrive EOCY2021 – 10 million for first dose and second dose configured for variants in first HALF of 2022 qty 15 million. Eligibility to be confirmed. I imagine there are some very terse convos happening behind the scenes. Source**: https://www.abs.gov.au/statistics/people/population/national-state-and-territory-population/dec-2020#data-downloads-data-cubes == All of that to say, a no jab no play policy can't (shouldn't) be established until a large proportion of the population has had their second shot. Epidemiologists/etc say this should be 80-90%, not the 60% used in the UK (let's see where they are 4-6 weeks after Freedom Day, could be a sh$tshow). So that is next year, maybe early in the season, or maybe not, depending on your view of vaccine supply and the Feds' ability to fix the rollout issues to date.

Apparently to Tigers, though C. Wilson thinks not according to Age RFP. Josh Kelly please.

If the season ended now…
Vic 22 today. This is results from infections 3-14 days prior yes? (Not sure of delta incubation to symptoms, so feel free to correct me). Will get worse before better. QLD or WA I think.

POSTGAME: Rd 18 vs Hawthorn
Stop being so data driven, it is doing my data driven head in. :D I look at the Tigers - do I trust them more or us....probably better to ask a Tiger's supporter :D

Hasn't rugby league just gone into hubs with families? Yes they have, families must quarantine for 2 weeks before entering bubble Might be a smart move to do it now whilst there's no quarantine in some areas....or some loopholes (NNSW)

Aware of that.

The last 3. The health experts (except our CMO) have been saying this is an airborne virus from early on in the piece. Doesn't matter if you're outdoors if you're all crammed into one space.

POSTGAME: Rd 18 vs Hawthorn
This x 1000. We *should* have banked Adelaide, Pies and let's say Hawks. That's top 2 locked up. Complacency/hubris.

POSTGAME: Rd 18 vs Hawthorn
I'm ok with losing games so long as the umpiring is reasonable (mistakes happen, but...Adelaide) and we turn up. ie if we play honest footy and are beaten by a better team, that's ok. But the losses so far have been pretty bad.

Hope they're ok as can be expected. What a shambles. Like I said, come election time....

I'd prefer to be consistently applying ourselves rather than bipolar Dees.

CHANGES: Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
We've become untrustworthy. Who knows who'll turn up this week. Ollywood football or team first. It really is frustrating.

When was that? She was in a RACF? Commonwealth or private? Aren’t RACFs Pfizer? (My wife’s grandmother in RACF in Bendigo was vaccinated with Pfizer in Feb via in reach) I hope everyone remembers this roll out debacle come election time.

AZ second shot has been bought in to 4 weeks IIRC in light of the two outbreaks.

Bulldogs paying $2 on ladbrokes that seems rather generous

COVID & AFL 2021
My understanding was there is ample supply of AZ everywhere - state clinics, primary care. I have 3 GPs in my street (this is NSW though), all their 3 clinics have ample AZ.

COVID & AFL 2021
The data on vaccinated groups catching Delta (citation required: infected-vaccinated by age decile/comordities) is not good. Lots of vaccinated people appear to be getting it, and transmitting it. I don't know what the risk is vis a vis viral load/transmissability of those vaccinated, but I'd be concerned enough. Doesn't mean it's not a good idea re: lower risk...

COVID & AFL 2021
Great idea. Practically challenging. Think of everyone trying to board the plane earlier than the called rows...on steroid! It'll be like 9-11 x 100, Gary. Ways to mitigate/control for it, but a really great idea. You might see though big groups there early milling around waiting. Perhaps really strictly enforced distancing - I am talking 3m - not 1m.
