Be mindful of the heart inflammation risks from Pfizer in younger males: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/safety/myocarditis.html

I see a couple of % boosters good risk management. According to Matter of Stats, the top 2 and 4 composition will be decided by %. If we lose a few, it could mean the difference between 3 and 2 (and home grounds all the way) and 5 and 4 and the double chance.

If you don't have a medical reason for not being vaccinated, then you can be moved from front line/customer facing roles. It happens in health all the time, and is happening now. (Obviously your options as a limo driver are probably narrower than a nurse who can be shifted to admin duties) "I don't hold the needle, mate". Of the 1/3 who have had at least one shot, of those, only half again have two (source: RN Breakfast Raina McIntyre from the Kirby Institute, this AM).

Also true, but that relies on people actively checking this. The bloke runs a busy dry cleaners, so absent any reason to think otherwise (symptoms, a phone call), it probably wasn't top of mind. That's not an excuse, but a reason.
-
Because you don't know you're a contact until you're advised, which doesn't occur until the contact tracing is done. If QR coded, this is as I understand NSW's system, is largely automated, but for a party etc, it's manually done. The better question for the flight attendant case, is why are all flight crew not mandated to have had a vaccine (along with the transport people).
-
Because you can return 3 negative tests then a positive one. "There is no risk" - that is a very big statement for a highly transmissable disease, higher R0, and tranmission possible via fleeting transmission of an aerosolized virus.
-
We were due to drive the Sunshine Coast from NNSW on Wed morning for family hols, and just cancelled. Erring on low risk approach would be prudent.
-
Do you have any reports/data to the effect the contact tracers didn't know he existed? Contact tracing relies on what people tell them.

Cripps 6 years in hopes of winning a flag. Gird the loins young Man. Twill be an especially disappointing 6 years

Really ambivalent about Geelong getting the prime time slots Just keep winning and it’ll come

I’ve linked to other sources last page which covers AZ efficacy against strains

Snip, good precis! Like I said, the Essendon w/l odds are quite long, and the line is most attractive, with a hedge of +30 or +40 for the MFC.
-
That's true, 1.30 is never too early to have a play at BWS (or Dan's!) I hope the players make it to the ground and not BWS! ;D

Bolding mine - that's not what the German regulator said, and this is from early January, a very long time ago. See below, bolding mine. When I went hunting for updated advice based on more data, I could not find anything (I don't speak German, though, so it might be around), but did find this, which goes against what NSWH and TGA are stating. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-health-coronavirus-germany-astrazenec-idUSKBN2BO6KZ I think you could look at what the TGA advisory committee is saying re: efficacy across age strata. It is effective, less so against mutations, particularly against Delta, especially c.f. Pfizer, which has a higher efficacy. LInk re above Here's an AstraZeneca link re: Delta efficacy, it is high particularly for protection against hospitalization.

Allow me to help you with that. https://www.macrobusiness.com.au/2021/01/scomos-dodgy-vaccine-binned-for-aged-in-germany/
-
I'd put a lot of money on all of Pfizer / Moderna (and Novavax when available) being used on locals first to get second (and booster when Moderna reconfigured for mutations) before OS. CSL AZ deployed to PNG/Pacific and maybe Indo in addition to Covax distributions. There's too much money in vested interests at stake to keep borders closed for a lot longer.

As I said earlier: risk management 101. https://www.theage.com.au/national/australia-let-down-by-failure-to-hedge-bets-on-enough-vaccines-experts-say-20210624-p583v5.html

I'd much prefer to increase our chance of top 2 - and 2 home finals - than worry about interstaters in top 4. Never mind 8 point games, this week is a 32 pointer!

I just don't think they can, for Syd fixtures/clubs, and maybe even Bris...

Not the craziest....(sorry if there's a designated DL-er who starts these - didn't mean to cut your lunch). Via BomberBlitz. Must bring in Snelling. Give him a role to tag Salem. So much of Melbourne’s ball movement goes through him. Hooker needs to be better than what he showed today; May will give him a bath otherwise. Stringer will probably get tagged by Hibberd. Can see Oliver and Petracca v Merrett and parish unfolding with not much defensive attention. Hope Draper is able to back up today’s superb performance. Hope the Dees give Weideman another game, and either Laverde or Francis can give him a towelling up. Give Redman the job on Fritsch. Great test against the Dees on Saturday. Send these snooty twats to the ski fields. Playing Melbourne is a great opportunity to see where we’re really at. I’m looking forward to it. They’re the top of the ladder team at virtually full strength (minus Tomlinson?). I’m pretty sure they’ll get Viney back this week. They’re also fresh off the bye vs us on 6 day break coming back from Tassie (not that it’s a huge trip at all). We can win one, or even both [Ed other being Geelong next round]. Melbourne are more likely, and l see signs of the beginnings of their brittle self doubt emerging. It is a common affliction every season, and is very apparent when the ski season opens. We’re so winning this match. No bombing forward otherwise May and Lever will have a field day interceptingLow/scrubber type kicks when entering forward I don’t rate Melbourne. I think we are a huge chance I just worry about their midfield contested beasts that will push Merrett and Parish to the side Melbourne still have it in them to completely Essington their season. I’d love for us to get the ball rolling. Melbourne are slowly showing signs of going full Melbourne… it’s winnable but need to be cleaner than tonight. I back us in Pies were able to beat them We always think we’re a chance against the Dees.We got close last year and we were rubbish.I’m looking at this game as a free hit. No expectations. Just try and protect the %. The problem we will potentially have against Melbourne is how well they are defending the field when not in possession. If Melbourne can so easily stop the Bulldogs from playing their preferred game, how are we going to go ? Personally, I don’t rate Melbourne as a Flag Favourite. Would have four other teams ahead of them on that count. Take out May and Lever’s influence and they will struggle. A lot of Dollar Shop forwards should not bother our defenders and we can match their mids even with the likes of Shiel, McGrath and Caldwell missing. I’m usually quite lid-off but we are probably kidding ourselves to think we can win this one. I think we’ll do ourselves proud with effort and we might even go close, but more likely there will be a couple of periods where they score a few quick ones against us and we just can’t recover.

Agree, the line is I think 29.5/1.90.

We don't have a What they're saying down at Windy Hill thread and wasn't sure if I should start one. Must bring in Snelling. Give him a role to tag Salem. It's not like we've a dearth of skill to cover. Where's our What they're saying at Windy Hill thread. I imagine it's something like How're we going to cover all of Viney, Oliver, Petracca, Langdon? Who will Jack Viney make cry? How will we get through Lever, May, Petty et al? (I forgot to include the obligatory spelling mistakes).

I'm enjoying finding so many fellow Black Crowes fans here, and in the seniors playing list evidently.
