  1. hannan out
  2. Trudge (joel trudgeon) just broke the record for the most ranking/supercoach points in a nab league game over the weekend, very nicely timed by him. 185cm inside mid had 27 contested touches and 14 tackles. would fit in nicely to develop in the 2s for a couple seasons as we did with sparrow and jj, given vdb and jones will go at seasons end theres definitely room for some young inside types to bring through. (if anyone has a link to the HS article that would be fantastic)
  3. wake up DS, lockhart is a defender and certainly not a league level onballer in a premiership contenders side, and also isn't a forward especially when we have forwards in form in the twos
  4. any other week hunt is out but with the doggies ahead i think he stays in but i've been saying for 3 weeks now he's not a finals hb flanker he has too many deficiencies and goes missing changes: OUT: Jetta Melksham IN: Salem Viney harmes to HF, also maybe time to rest jordon for sparrow and throw bedford a chance as a small forward but this isnt the week for those types of moves

happy to stick the arm up here, not my finest call, having said that he seems to drift in and out of games. i mentioned in another thread he went one week 0 tackles and <10 disposals and then backed up with 8 tackles the next week so if i looked at our 22 as a whole the two spots where i can see an obvious spot to upgrade still becomes hunt (a rebounding HB who nudges 15 touches most weeks) and nibbler who can go missing and doesn't necessarily impact scoreboard every week. so if the option becomes to look at alternatives i still would be open to it. and before anyone gets up in arms i have been impressed by some of his games this week and i guess as a role player thats what u ask for and he's doing it

he'd replace many in our 22/30, if played correctly... he's a rebounding defender/hard running wingman with good foot skills. definitely an upgrade on hunt/hibbo and gus the wingman imo i've never been one to buy into the trade gus ideas however seeing his disposal in that first half on the weekend and the growing cerra feels i can see it as more and more of a possibility that he goes to perth and becomes midfielder numero uno a la lachie neales move to the lions, particularly with the evergreen mundy having to slow down eventually they'll want someone to just protect serong and the lads just for a season or two longer menegola wont head home, just signed a 4yr deal and freo delisted him all those years ago without a senior game. and i believe i read somewhere that either clark or sparkle if they were to leave would actually prefer a melbourne move than a go-home due to the footy-heavy lifestyle. coulda been narkle given he was out with bolton and rioli last weekend?
  10. not tied but if they fall through are then NGA linked once more for the national draft
  11. love the total disposal numbers and then tackles column, i imagine he's playing a centre bounce/hf role? hopefully he gets a senior game or two as the year progresses to really push his case
  12. Zac Foot, Kobi George and Kobe Farmer all in for the MSD i think the only players taken will be 5-7 19yo's by the developing bottom sides and then a couple of depth big men. mid sized players would have to be playing out of their skin ie Nathan Freeman levels to have a chance (interesting he hasn't nommed yet) as clubs would surely prefer to blood players already on their list if they lose a senior player to injury

purely for admin, very rare a side needs all 4 as gameday cover. 2 is plenty bowey didnt finish caseys match yesterday, with an ?ankle? i think i read melky and baker held over so it would be one of the two

sorta wanted a place we can all dump some potential names of interest across the competition to strengthen the side. just been spitballing in my head came up with a couple: a small forward who tackles AND kicks goals, got McDonald-Tippungwuti front of the queue with 1 yr to go on his current deal, could be gettable given the two sides trajectories wingman: either of whitfield or jkelly not sure about the getability tho especially with the money jelly is tied on and whitfields length of deal but maybe one might fall out to accomodate the other half back: recently learnt jordon dawson was OOC and it caught my attention. might keep an eye on how he plays next couple weeks just see what he's like as a mature HB option we could look at. also eddy rich at the dogs has had some clubs ask the question and would suit a need but maybe less proven at the level to date half forward: lipinski, too good to play vfl but at full strength seems to be on the fringes at the doggies so they can fit 12 mids in, certainly an improvement on melky in terms of touches and delivery but mayve less scoreboard impact, could also see harmes move to this role when all our side is availabvle.
  16. hmm swear you were a big no no of the smith interest like me always had tphillips ahead of. either way its still a positiion we need to omprove. hello nathan freeman?
  17. based on what? unless he's done an acl in the last two hours i'd say there is a chance he could be picked. we should feel comfortable enough in our system and form that if players warrant selection we can reward them and if players get complacent in the side we can put them on notice
  18. weid and bowey in LJ and hunt out ANB improved on his 0 tackles v north to 8 v sydney which was awesome to see but i find myself naming the same two "whipping boys" as having returned to previous form as the season progresses after a purple month to begin with
  19. WEEEIIIIIIIIIDDDDD
  20. the fact is petty is in the team to lockdown and his opponent didnt dominate him therefore he has done his job effectively, also how is a player supposed to develop and find their feet at the level if they are tossed in and out week on week we need to give him a consistent go, yet to be fully towelled up. people are just looking for an excuse to take him out

  23. bowey in for hunt he's been down and needs the rocket, been no dash and foot skills for a month now
  24. sporadically, when i'm feeling it ill buy some

i'd still have harmes in ahead of sparrow especially with viney out we really need a presence tackling and speed out of the stoppage and a week in the twos should be plenty for a broken wrist so for me IN: Petty, Harmes, Chandler OUT: Tomlinson, Baker, ANB (lay a tackle son its what you're there for)
