  1. I think that if JT and co believe that Matthew Jefferson is the best player available at pick 13(14), then I think we will pick him. But if, in their opinion, there is a better player available, we won’t.
  2. the below article has references to the scientific studies done on this: https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2021/04/26/earth-axis-shift-climate-change-has-shifted-axis-of-rotation/7383383002/
  3. I’m sure Uncle, that you were able to inform your learned friend that climate change has resulted in the melting of the polar ice caps, and it is this that has led to a small shift in the polar axis resulting in the extreme weather events occurring all over the world.
  4. Go girls - we are all behind you! (Except Old Dee that is)
  5. Sorry mate, it seems I plagiarised two people, not just one. I'll share my royalties with both you and layzie.
  6. Layzie, your work inspired me (well I actually plagiarised your good work ā€˜cause I’m also lazy): There once was a lad named Luke, Whose talents were certainly no fluke We asked him to stay But he left anyway His departure made us all want to puke.
  7. I have absolutely no idea what you guys are talking about. Would you please provide, for dummies like me, the solution to your conundrum Tim. (Maybe I’m the only one who cannot do it)

Here is another theory Roger. The Club, and most likely the Government as well, saw a better long-term solution in having our facilities included in the redevelopment of the Warne stand. This will obviously take a lot longer to eventuate. Until then, following the world cup, we will utilise the revamped facilities at AAMI. It may be that until the design work for the redevelopment has been finalised and the funding approved, the Club cannot /don't want to announce this. The silence from the Club on this is regrettably deafening, and I hope for the Board's sake that this silence is due to similar reasons to the above, and not because we have nothing - as a number of you are suggesting.
  9. I agree, we oar to let this error RIP.

as opposed to a Bitter one…..
  11. Guys, now that you have finished dumping on poor old Gus, why don’t you do the fair thing and have a dump on our other players as well. Or not.
  12. Haha. Shady looking character known to frequent places of dubious quality with BBO in Thailand. I’d be ordering a thorough search of you myself SWYL.
  13. But did you ever dress up as a female OD?
  14. ā€œDear Penthouse Forum, you’ll never believe what just happened to me…..ā€
  15. Like I said, the shy retiring wallflower type.
  16. TC, I only got an appreciation for jazz when I was working in Qatar. The owner of the St Regis hotel had, on his top floor, an intimate jazz club. He would travel to the USA every so often to seek out the best of the jazz scene there and would pay extraordinary amounts to get the bands back to St Regis for a 2-week season. After 14 nights, a new band would inspire us. Just loved it.
  17. Hey Uncle B, we are trying to build her confidence, not shoot her down. She cannot help it if she is a shy wallflower type.
  18. An oldie and a new one from my favourite current aussie band. (er, the lead guitarist may or may not be related to me)
  19. Haha i will not have my (rare) tastes in music questioned by someone who dislikes the Stones and the Beatles, and who is seriously deranged to boot! And for your info, I didn't like the Ed concert (and still don't enjoy his music) but when you are in a place that is generally devoid of entertainment, you take what you can get!
  20. I guess we are all different with our musical tastes. Me, I’m totally shocked that some on here don’t like the music of the Stones or the Beatles. And maybe a shock to a lot of you, I cannot get into metal at all. I took my family to see the Stones at the Sydney Olympic stadium, but couldn’t have been more disappointed in the sound - it was like listening on AM radio. Obviously I never saw the Beatles, but I did see Paul McCartney and Wings at the Music Bowl ( supported by the amazing Captain Matchbox Whoopee Band!). I saw Billy Thorpe and band and Jimmy Barnes and band performing on the same bill at the old Sydney Showgrounds and that was a blast. Loved U2 when I saw them live. When I was working in the Middle East I had the chance to see a number of live acts, ranging from Tom Jones ( cause there was nothing else to do - but he was great),Ed Sheeran (who I’d never heard of, but a friend wanted to go), cold Play (sensational) and the best concert I’ve ever, ever seen, Eric Clapton, over in Dubai. There was no light show or theatrics, it was just pure music - pure class. If there was one live performance I could see again, it would be his.
  21. Certainly not a fizzier D. Just too f’ing hard for dummies like me. I did try though. Keep up the great work.

Didn’t we just let go one of these athletic ā€œmodelsā€ in Rossman?
  23. Or you simply misspelled the word ā€œsportā€
  24. I haven't eaten in Lygon Street for 40 years SWYL - but only because i packed my bags and moved to Sydney. I will also admit to supporting Carlton at the 1970 grand final over the Pies. Bravest thing i ever did - supported the blues while seated behind the goals amongst the Collingwood cheer squad. Got braver and braver after half time.
