  1. Haha i will not have my (rare) tastes in music questioned by someone who dislikes the Stones and the Beatles, and who is seriously deranged to boot! And for your info, I didn't like the Ed concert (and still don't enjoy his music) but when you are in a place that is generally devoid of entertainment, you take what you can get!
  2. I guess we are all different with our musical tastes. Me, Iā€™m totally shocked that some on here donā€™t like the music of the Stones or the Beatles. And maybe a shock to a lot of you, I cannot get into metal at all. I took my family to see the Stones at the Sydney Olympic stadium, but couldnā€™t have been more disappointed in the sound - it was like listening on AM radio. Obviously I never saw the Beatles, but I did see Paul McCartney and Wings at the Music Bowl ( supported by the amazing Captain Matchbox Whoopee Band!). I saw Billy Thorpe and band and Jimmy Barnes and band performing on the same bill at the old Sydney Showgrounds and that was a blast. Loved U2 when I saw them live. When I was working in the Middle East I had the chance to see a number of live acts, ranging from Tom Jones ( cause there was nothing else to do - but he was great),Ed Sheeran (who Iā€™d never heard of, but a friend wanted to go), cold Play (sensational) and the best concert Iā€™ve ever, ever seen, Eric Clapton, over in Dubai. There was no light show or theatrics, it was just pure music - pure class. If there was one live performance I could see again, it would be his.
  3. Certainly not a fizzier D. Just too fā€™ing hard for dummies like me. I did try though. Keep up the great work.

Didnā€™t we just let go one of these athletic ā€œmodelsā€ in Rossman?
  5. Or you simply misspelled the word ā€œsportā€
  6. I haven't eaten in Lygon Street for 40 years SWYL - but only because i packed my bags and moved to Sydney. I will also admit to supporting Carlton at the 1970 grand final over the Pies. Bravest thing i ever did - supported the blues while seated behind the goals amongst the Collingwood cheer squad. Got braver and braver after half time.
  7. Itā€™s funny, when I read one of BBOā€™s posts, I always ā€œhearā€ the voice of the eunuch in game of thrones.
  8. ā€œAbstemiousā€???!!! Would love to know the meaning behind that and your current name, BBO.
  9. May this thread RIP.
  10. Uncle then, as Ian is Neilā€™s cousin
  11. Toby McMullin - any relation to the Neil McMullin (also a grammar boy) who played for us in 1974 before Lee matthews destroyed his jaw?
  12. Sorry, you know where to stick it D.
  13. You know where to stick it D.
  14. From a kennel to a home, Schache is now happy.
  15. Can you confirm itā€™s not Schache?
  16. Iā€™d suggest that says more about Sam as a person than anything else. I think everyone wanted him to make it. And Melky is an import, so doesnā€™t have that same birthing connection
  17. If a player is not good enough, itā€™s not his fault, then there is not much point showing ā€œangstā€ towards him is there? Most DLā€™s realise this. Iā€™m surprised you are surprised to be honest.
  18. If we couldnā€™t turn Sam into a decent AFL footballer, how the hell are we expected to do it for Schache?
  19. I hope we donā€™t move on till we reach 300 pages - then letā€™s burn it. 300 pages of questionable quality at best. Kind of reflective of LJā€™s last half of the season.
  20. I know Jacko is the better player, but emotionally Iā€™m more upset at losing Weid.
  21. I canā€™t remember the last time I heard those words in relation to Sam - but I believe we do, given how this trade period is shaping.
  22. I think there is more chance of the Dees missing the 8 than Freo next year.
  23. Donā€™t do it Sam!!
  24. I know that the B and F night and the Jayden news must have taken a lot out of you WCW - but scheez!!, have you looked at yourself in the mirror lately?
