Reward their fans welcoming behaviour!! FMD!

While 12 might get you in, would need to be very very lucky. We aren’t! We are going to need 13 wins plus our strong percentage!
-
Roos said that one of the major indicators of improvement was Percentage. Personally I like wins, but we are getting better. Max kicks goal round one. Umpires don’t win game for Port. Then Dees beat Saints the following week. Cats miss one shot at goal in last qtr. Demons a clear game on top! Also if my Auntie had balls she’d be my Uncle! But in reality, we’re not that far off it!
-
1. We are the highest scoring team in the league and everyone on Demonland believes we can improve how our forward line functions. 2. Without Viney and Hibberd who will both hopefully comeback in 3-4 weeks, we only lost to Geelong away after they kicked 16.4. 3. Since the Tigers in round 5, we should have only lost one game vs Pies a schooler, all the rest we should have won. Once the younger stars Oliver, Trac, Brayshaw, Hogan learn how to lift & win the tight ones, Demons will be a force, Viney would have helped against Cats!
-
1. Add Viney was out of our team to point 1 of Dimmy & Big Red, we are building something special, just have to learn how to win the close ones! Tigers had to take that step and did. 2. I was in the air & missed the game, so didn’t suffer as much as if I watched it live. 3. Tommy Mac just keeps getting better as a forward.

Last year we dropped the two to North, and losses against Freo, Hawks & Pies that we expected to win. But won 3-4 against the odds. This year we’ve been the opposite, flogged most of the weaker teams, except Saints, yet not had an unexpected win. I’m not confident against the Cats away, but hope today is one of this years unexpected wins. It would be a big win for the Dees!
-
We’ve played far better away than at the G, smaller grounds seem better suited to how we play. Last year we won a number of games I really didn’t expect, Crows & Eagles away automatically spring to mind. We have not done that this year, so we are due to deliver one against the odds win, would be great if it’s today!! Blind faith in the unexpected, Dees by any margin will do!

Poor first half, but positive 2nd half, used the ball well and 8 tackles. Worth another week.
-
JKH similar to Frost has looked very solid in the VFL over the last 5/6 weeks. Good luck to JKH, bring your best today like Frost did last week.
-
Your kidding!
-
Well he ducked when he should have Draked against the Saints, Port & Cats those three losses by a combined 15 points hurt! Still we’ve got to step up and win four more, we are doing a lot right, just need a few things to happen: - minor improvement going into forward 50 - back six stay a bit deeper, with a player almost being a goalkeeper in the square (like the Tigers) - increase two way particular defensive running, so don’t get carved down the wings with teams on a break We do the above and we win four plus of the last seven. Go Dees!
-
Last year we beat Crows and Eagles away no Max no Hogan and a few others. If we are good enough we win at least four games of the next seven and with our good percentage will play finals. If not, we will have gone backwards this year.
-
Team looks and definitely is slower than last week. Lets hope JKH brings the best of his VFL form to Saturday against the Dogs. Vince is thereabouts, so okay in for JSmith. We just need to win, 5 plus goals would be good.

Casey Demons v North Melbourne VFL - Round 14
D4Life replied to WERRIDEE's topic in Melbourne Demons
Who would be the three quickest players in VFL team Baker Bugg? ??” -
See logic in both your changes, Baker for Stretch and Vince for J Smith injured. I don’t think we can have Vince and Lewis in same team. If J Smith fit I’d leave him in, maybe Vince gives Lewis a week off. Rawlings recent comments seem to indicate doesn’t think Baker is ready! Most weeks the ins outs seem pretty straightforward, this week is not so easy. At least there are a few in the twos playing well, so we have some options!
-
Agree with your 2nd point. Don’t like the first even if it’s true, rather blame the umps!
-
I’m stil pi55ed at the umpire crucifixation against Port. We win that game and would have beaten Saints the following week and would be second. Even dropping Saints game would have been 4th.
-
Four umpires working as a team will bring greater consistency! Says Derek Humphrey-hyphen! Please go back to two umpires, only have to find 18 each weekend who have some idea! My God going from 27 blind mice to 36 each weekend, I hate the thought!!!!!!!!!
-
Well suck no more Demons! Finals or bust in 2018!
-
Well done, provides another view / feeling of the players!
-
Didn’t get to see the game, so thanks for a great summary, particularly the insight on the ins. Hoid to hear Petracca higher possession and impact game from the sound of it!
-
Any Demonlanders have been waiting a longtime for success, over 50 years personally, and the adds to the frustration and desire for quick results. But I do feel we are headed in the right direction, a finals campaign would really help! However supporting the Demons does require the odd drink!
-
Viney & TMac would both be ahead of him if they had played all matches. Lewis sits at 16th and Vince not in top 22. While Jetta has been great the last few years, has seemed to be injured. We only have four players 29 and over in Lewis, Vince, Jones & Jetta, and are already replacing Vince in the team this year, and Lewis will be next year. Jetta & Jones both have 2-3 years to go, maybe more, so I don’t agree with your concern re Age! We lose Max, yes major concern, but can pick a dominate player from most teams, whose loss would really hurt them!
-
Our players that are slowing down in Vince & Lewis are in our bottom four players. You could add Jones, but he still has a few years left and isn’t top half a dozen. Who else? Most of our best players in key positions are 23 and under, aside from Max who as a very tall ruckman will probably play at least six more years and TMac who is only 25/26.
-
Wise words! In particular this applies to Frost in the backline, so the back 6 can settle, and also give Stretch a good 4-6 week run at it!
