  1. Your point is well taken. Naughton has played almost 20 more games than Weid in 2 less years though, so the statement that Weid is two years ahead of him doesn’t tell the full story. Weideman hasn’t had the benefit of continuity to develop his game like Aaron has, and I think that’s an important point to consider. Im not defending Weid’s output by any means, I think he needs to start doing more now.
  2. Or he didn’t and that’s why he got dropped in favour of weeds for the seniors team? We’re speculating of course. You’ve echoed my point really - we don’t know what is being asked of each individual on any given day.
  3. Individual stats are meaningless when we’re playing a role based team game. For all we know, weed did exactly what was asked of him by the coaches. im not saying weed couldn’t be doing better right now, but the notion of dropping him for Brown who could hardly get a touch at Casey is insane to me.
  4. That’s the problem with hardline journalists. They’re great to watch unless they have their sights aimed at you. I don’t have that much resentment for Caro. Always enjoyed her commentary, and always loved that she challenged the uninspired boys -club status quo. It’s nice to get a break from the endless parade of ex-players turned commentators to hear from people who are truly proficient in the trade of journalism. She’s been doing it since the 70s. Sure she went after us pretty hard during the tanking days. But hey, we clearly did tank, so maybe she should have. I’d rather save my anger from those days to the Melbourne footy club administration, not a journo uncovering the rot for all to see. It’s all a distance memory today anyway.
  5. Ah right didn’t know. Yeah rather we didn’t take any risks with him, he’ll be very important in September
  6. I’m not sure it’s an option mate. Once a concussion happens that’s it medical sub is in
  7. Someone makes way for Viney, not sure who. Other than that no change
  8. I have a new found respect for dogs supporters to be honest. Some good comments in there
  9. The finals wins were statements for sure, but I never felt we were a shot of making the GF in 2018, let alone winning it. Beating the Tigers this year isn't such a big deal, plenty of teams have. They aren't even top 8 right now. This year is different, and this game is different. 1st vs 2nd, winner walks away as the team to beat in 2021. Will we continue to rise this year or slowly taper away? I feel like this game is going to tell us a lot
  10. Win, lose or draw if the boys arrive and play with the same intensity that got most of our wins this year I'll enjoy the show Carn Demons, the opportunity for the biggest statement we've made in decades awaits
  11. Having the time and desire to post under multiple accounts for the purposes of trolling is truly the hallmark of a very sad existence
  12. Consider it operational security. Why divulge information the oppo can plan around? It's not hard to understand, surely.
  13. On the other hand, Trelor out is significant for them ...
  14. I reckon we'll get up too. Adelaide was the kick up the a$$ we needed, especially confident if Viney gets up.
  15. Why start a thread if you aren't prepared for people to disagree with you? The sky is falling is the perfect analogy to this highly predictable thread after a loss. Your points may have been better received had you shared them before we lost a game, but this is just like many other boring reactionary threads with hardly any meaningful insights other than identifying who hasn't been playing well lately. "I am trying to be measured here and some of this can be overcome but here is why we wont win a GF soon." You did not say what you think you said
  16. 9-1 and apparently the sky is falling. Take a deep breath everyone, we we're beaten for the first time this year against a team at home playing well. So what, it's not like we were never gonna lose a game again ...
  17. I hope May lays Tex Walker out today. Remember when he said Lever left Adelaide and chose money over success haha ?
  18. Easily my fav one so far. Looks incredible!!
  19. These are my fav threads these days. Oh how the tables have turned
  20. Really good interview - great work Deeluded I'm very impressed with Kate. She seems humble and very down to earth, but also strikes me as a very powerful presence with a clear set of credentials on display that bodes well for her success in the role. Happy days
  21. Not true, block chain transactions are in many cases traceable with the right resources. Additionally, the transaction of coin to fiat is highly traceable (the ATO is all over it these days). 10 years ago it was untraceable, but todays block chain analysis engines have put a stop to that.
  22. I don't have a horse in this race, but I do find it curious that the original premise of crypto currencies was to take the power away from the evil banking corporations, yet ironically the same power has just been shifted to billionaires like Elon Musk who manipulate the markets for personal gain. Human nature will always prevail, regardless of the innovations to counter it.
  23. I'd definitely listen to it
  24. Of course Hardwick wants prior removed, it suits their manic pressure game style perfectly. I actually think this might be one of the dumbest idea's I've ever heard. It only serves to deliver 2 negative outcomes, and no positives ones: Players will be less inclined to take possession of the footy. I envision A-league style tactics would come to the fore. There will be a huge increase in HTB's paid, which can only slow the game down. So much so I think it would start to resemble the NRL with constant stoppages. Back in your box Dimma ...
