  1. How good is Gawn's influence in the centre bounces and around the stoppages ? What about his big telling marks in defence ? His ground work is exquisite. 40+ hit outs 13 times out of 16 games. Leads the MVP by 5 votes before this count smashing his nearest rivals. If he keeps this form going and free of injury he can legitimately win this years Brownlow without a doubt. He is the main reason that we are in the hunt to make finals for the first time since 2006. He has a big influence in the saying of how we finish the year. I and many others would prefer a Premiership than a Brownlow, however he deserves both medals.
  2. Tmac struggled and hardly touched the ball bruised lung of course you know all that and very tentative. J Smith and Petty just not up to It at the minute. How can you not look slow and out of sorts when you are struggling with hand and foot? The last 2 I mention didn't bust their gut. I agree with you lets hope we don't capitulate
  3. Yes l agree with you there, However they won those games although the opposition looked slow. Is that the way it works? So if we win on the G next time we play is it because we are not slow anymore? Let's wait and see how we go at the G against Bulldogs, G Coast, SYD and GWS. and and get a better idea. There are a whole lot of reasons why we are not playing well. A win will help. Whats above the shoulder is where the confidence comes from.
  4. Its not that the players are unfit, they lack confidence. We beat the Saints merley 6 weeks ago we Didn't look slow then. Need to get the balance right. Players are fit however you see it. It is amazing what a win can do.
  5. Well done Trenners we my Family are so over the moon for you.and to still be on the journey as an AFL footballer is a testament to you. I am hoping not only you have a fantastic game but string many games together and to be the turning point of your career. Proud of you as l know that many others are as well. You will give it your all as you did for our great club. May all go well for you Trenners. .
  6. Atleast you are sane and make good sense...... and l am being serious.
  7. If Kent gets himself right soon enough and maybe after the break he has the potential to break a game open. Shows that he can kick multiple goals and gathers possessions consistently when he is on. A nuggety player however, he is injury prone. I hope he stays as he still has time on his side. He could be the X factor.
  8. When Viney came back into the side his team mates grew in confidence. They have that extra spring in their step. As we see the last 2 games, it is so noticeable Gawny grew an extra 10 cm. We can only be better with him in the side. Welcome back Champ.
  9. Lets look after our stock now that they are starting to show more promising results. Lynch doesn't fit the bill ,what we need is an outside Mid as we know in Gaff and to go after him hard. However we don't need a TMac generic.
  10. What is it that worries you what Whately says. He has his opinions that's fine. Lets change his opinion by us winning the games we should win like the one coming up. Gold Coast.
  11. I personally don't want to compare Petracc an Gus as l love both of them playing for us. They are going to be super players and help build a great culture and hopefully lead to a to a premiership . Need to sign up Gus sooner rather than later. How fortunate we are to have both of them.
  12. It's always a good time to bring in a first gamer as we need a bit of enthusiasm and Charlie Spargo will add a bit of bite close to goals. Hopefully he is picked in the 22 when they finalise the side.
  13. We had Ollie and was to join Melbourne at pick 4 and to be with his close mate in Jack Viney. GWS had the first 3 picks in the National Draft and Melbourne had pick no 4.which came from GWS for an uncontracted player compensation pick, that happened to be for Scully. Toumpas was to be picked up early and fell through to pick 4. Todd Viney and co decided to pick Toumpas ahead of Ollie and he slipped through to Pick 7. Note! After picking Toumpas at 4 the next pick at 5 was Jake Stringer, WHAT IF? GOD HELP US !
  14. Angus Brayshaw will come into the side soon enough and it won't be after a concussion or an another injury , it will be because he is ready to come in fresh and.... injury free ! Got a gig late in the season after missing many games because of concussion and off the HBF and held his own. He is a young gun no doubt about that. Looking forward to seeing him back very soon. Maybe as soon as the NM game.
  15. Weideman played his best game against Hawthorn. That was his first senior game late in the season 2016. kicked 2 goal and was involved early in that game. Finished the game off well. He has the potential has time on his side, however he will have to make a move on . Lets hope he turns it around very soon and showcases ability in 2018.
  16. Petracca starting in the Guts and going down Forward and believe me no rest for the wicked. This kid is is going to the next level . The season cannot come quick enough. Rip them apart Petrac.
  17. 3 South Australians and a a blow in. Well done Port.
  18. TMAC can play back and forward and can pinch hit in the Ruck. How valuable is he. Plenty of experience and a leader. We have coverage you say ? Once in a blue moon type player of his caliber. hmmmmm...........
  19. U/15s membership 1967. MFC call them you can find out. Don't be funny young man.
  20. Yes, Craig did a reasonable job and he has moved on. You say the signs do look good and it's still early to tell. Now that's sounds promising, wouldn't you say. We, all of us here want to see the club succeed. I bought my first membership for $1.25 in 1967. Fifty consecutive years as a member. I like to be around a while too.
  21. I thank our lucky stars that we have the best recruiting people in Jason Taylor leading them. the strike rate of picking in the draft over the last 3 to 4 years has been second to none. Have a look at our draft picks of recent years with Jason there.
  22. Fritsch leading goal kicker Jones Best and Fairest easily Hogan to Fremantle for two 1st rounders Watts plays his first final. Melbourne beat Richmond by 5 goals Gawn All Australian Clarry All Ausralian Fall into the 8.
  23. Welcome Charlie Reminds me of a Nathan Jones. It will not take long before he builds up more around the shoulders and you will get a Nathan Jones Mark 2. ALL GO.... Welcome to the DEES.
  24. HAHA Hem your a classic. Fake as.
  25. Jack your a credit to yourself and family. Hope to see you play many AFL games. Now that is a feel good story.
