  1. Petracca has an attitude about him you can read his body language, however he is not the only issue here. His form is not great and seems to be going through the motions. Last night's game he played in was his worst l seen him involved in and that goes for many others. Petracca can turn it around as he has that ex factor. For me he wasn't out there last night for one reason or another and as the saying goes a week is a long time in football. Lets give him the opportunity to redeem himself because really he is one of our better players and really after 2 games he is not the problem alone. Let's get off his back and the remarks towards him the silly lets get rid of him or drop him or his hopeless or can't play is just anger talking. We have bigger fish to fry this week and we need to turn it around collectively. Look to Essendrug Friday night to get our first win and put us on our way.
  2. Oliver The sticky tape Brayshaw Is a marvel Viney found his mojo Gawn much better game Harmes he was serviceable Milkshake Does his job. TMac Has no help Petrac has attitude problem Frosty Less mistakes tonight OMac not all there! Koloj give him time. ABN little boy lost Umpires N F I. REMAINDERS! Can please themselves
  3. There is something not right when you have 25 more inside 50s and are annihilated by 80 points. Not interested? Clarry Gus Viney and Gawn the rest can go and have a good look in the mirror. Oh! and Petracca needs 2 mirrors to have a real good look at himself. Disappointing Dees !!!! I am SHATTERED, Atleast have a go. WTF happened to the contested possessions.
  4. In your opinion maybe not. However he appears smarter, more skilful and possess more grunt compared to some of our players at the moment. Not naming names.
  5. Could be Zac Jones perhaps he gets to play with his brother finally. Is smart and tough running half back and can play some Mid time. I am not sure if contracted for 2020 however he will be only 25.
  6. Weid's potential is there and he would need to produce a good consistent block of games this year and score many goals 50 plus to be thought of a 700 k contract. He is level headed and knows what he has to do to earn respect and his keep on the field. Never say never however he is well entrenched at the Demons.
  7. Dunny could play and was reliable but l guess that our FD thought he wasn't good enough to fit into the side. However in a short space of time became a fixture in the backline for C/wood reliable and a was respected as a person and player and in time was voted in their Leadership group. Devastated for what seems like the end of the road of his playing career. Loved him at Melbourne and didn't have a hate for him playing for the enemy . In the future l wouldn't be surprised if Lynden was picked up as an assistant coach and if there is a chance to get him, perhaps his leadership values and toughness would rub on the guys. Dunny in my eyes your a Demon for life.
  8. Good changes with Kolo coming in with his great foot skills an asset will be handy. l believe for forward pressure and smarts around the goals Lockhart could be damaging if VFL form of 2018 is a guideline, had exceptional form last year. Although he has been selected in the Backline. Not surprised with Frosty staying put as he could be used for support in the backline or a pinch hit on the forward line with his speed and his body strength. Hoping he doesn't have a brain freeze. Slightly surprised with Spargo's omission he didn't do much wrong and was one of our better players against PA. FD's call. Great to see Steven May included and wish him all the best. Good luck Dees!
  9. Cornsy you jumped on Ports band wagon and are good at doing something like that to make up and be liked again by the bogans that follow them. Winging does not agree with our club however the dirty tactics when striking someone to the ground or running into them when not looking is a low act. Jonas was better off getting his $2000 worth by striking Gawn to the stomach with a hard clench fist. These days you can hurt a player and be more likely fined. No winging just frustrated with our performance and after round one too. .Cornsy Please! don't jump on our band wagon again. Oh! and Port haven't made finals
  10. You are right on the money Chook and it is never a dull moment with so many told you so panic merchants that we have on Demonland. One loss and we are finished or another loss and it is the end of the world. My My WTF next.
  11. JLT Series we made our tweaks with the team we fielded we didn't get smashed and had a few out. Tigers and Lions were winners the 1st round. We were disappointing on the weekend for obvious reasons and coming up against the Cats away is a hard task at any time. GEELONG, ESSENDON, SYDNEY, ST. KILDA, RICHMOND,and HAWTHORN up to round 7 IMO we will know where we are heading by round 7. This team is not over rated as you say. They had no control over the media hype and being put on a pedestal by the pundits. With injuries to Viney and Lever mid year 2018 and Hogan didn't help our cause for a double chance which could have helped us avoid WC in the Prelim or maybe even beat them on our merits. We are a work in progress and assuming we make the eight, which I believe we can, it will still be a good result. And once we are there, we have the experience to know what we can do. One loss in Round 1 doesn't mean we are losers. I'm sure the boys don't think they are losers. Will reset for next week. Yesterday's game wasn't Melbourne. Who was it? That's what we would all like to know. Like to know your response after Round 7, RJ.
  12. Yes! we were underdone. Yes! we were not first to the ball. Lacked the smarts because they ran and ran at all costs around the large shadow of the Northern stand out of the sun. We did the total opposite. We lacked heart and fumbled especially from our experienced players and that is not us. Snap out of it or you won't play finals with displays like that. May will help and Lever isn't that far l hope but we missed Vander's toughness and he is 4 weeks away. Come on guys you are better than that at least show us fight or anything to hang onto for the season.
  13. When you support a club from a teeny weeny boy it becomes part of your life. Following the MFC for a long time 2018 it was something special to see the 90,000 plus crowds at our 2 finals at the G . It felt like our supporters were on every seat watching and supporting hard. The tears the joy the hugs and the elation after the 2 great wins was surreal. IMO it beats every other final that we had played in since 1987. The faces on our supporters tells us a story and Goody can see that. My love for my club is strong.
  14. Its amazing that now a Marty Hore gets a chance to take some of the important kick ins and may be the direct swap for Lewis to start on the ground. A natural kick plays small and tall and a regular attacking backman. Will be up and about and will take his chance to play his role well.
  15. Corey Wagner deserves a go as he was at North Melbourne and was delisted. You see every now and then Brad Scott has a brain freeze and gets rid of players who can play However doesn't like to keep good honest players. He wants the thugs in his side. Played 8 games from 2016-17 drafted at 43 for NM. Top season for Casey last year. Marty Hore a dual B&F last 2 years for VFL C/wood. Worth the pick for a 23 year old backman that can run and carry and could be of value. 190cm plays small and tall and an accurate kick. Good luck to both the boys and wish you all the best. Make us proud.
  16. When we make the Top 4 then you would want to make the Prelim and win to make the GF . When you are in the GF you will want to win the Premiership nothing less, FULL censored STOP.
  17. When it was necessary to chase a tall tough key mobile backman to help nullify opposition tall forwards to our club Goody recognised that S May fit that bill. He is one of the best backs and also versatile. He can link up the ground and can also make the play by breaking the lines. IMO he will show his worth with his first challenge being Hawkins next week if selected. No doubt. May will possibly stand beside Lynch, Hogan , Josh kennedy ,B Brown, Franklin sometime this year and some others and believe he will be up to it. Steven May the Plug that stops the leaks and J Lever will be back soon enough to help with the mopping up.
  18. Thank GOD! ..... At the Family day l said to him kindly that if you love the club you have to sign with the us very very soon. Please! Goody replied with a knowing smile, Do you love the club ? and winked, We shook hands and walked off knowing all was ok. Love the guy and know we are in the best of hands.
  19. Sam has the potential and showed it in the the first two finals and that is where he became a man so to speak. IMO if you stand up in Finals you are on the way to making the grade no doubt. The Weid is ready for his breakout year and at his age he has the scope for improvement. The bounce is not too far away for the start of the season and am hanging out to see him take big marks and kick many goals in 2019 and beyond.
  20. Congrats Big Maxy looking forward to your 100th game and another 100 great games after that. 2 AA'S, 1 B&F and a Premiership Medal around the neck would be fine as well.
  21. Well spoken individual Simon Goodwin and very articulated he is invested heavily to seeing our club become great again. I can see him being with the us for quite some time as Melbourne on and off the ground evolve into becoming a major player in the AFL . We are certainly on on our way. Looking promising.
  22. Jay has plenty of talent and is only a 24 yo . Playing for Casey last season he strung a number of games together and produced his best form by becoming a ball magnet with 30 plus possessions in games and ended up playing a number of games for Dees. IMO he handled himself well and deserved his promotion. I hope that he does receive the 2 year extension where it will give Jay confidence .He deserves it.
  23. Oh well, so much for bringing in the so called Big Gun ! Not only did he fire a blank, he was disarmed at the Tribunal.
  24. The suspension doesn't feel right to me . I hope this is appealed by the club. It certainly wasn't intentional. A connect to the upper chest missing the chin but head drops forward causing a love tap to the chin. No concussion there just a nice love tap. I have seen worse incidents than this and opposition clubs have backed and appealed for their players and many have got off.
