POSTGAME: Rd 15 vs Essendon
can someone tell me what Hunt was thinking with 1 minute to go and being up by 11 he decides to play on and have a kick from 50m (by which he doesn't score). Surely, he should've gone short to find an option. Even backwards. It was so dumb. We don't need dumb decision makers in our team. Use your brains!

is any of this Maynard news true?

5 Trade Targets for the Dees
Not sure why people are against the 5 listed. People are overrating our list yet again. The reason we are doing well is system based, not personnel. It's a credit to the players for buying in. But keep in mind that Adelaide beat us and Collingwood made us look silly. Lemmens is a great young player. Tom Lynch is an upgrade on Weideman and Ben Brown. Switkowski is nifty and is in the mould of Spargo. If Switkowski was playing for us now and Spargo was playing for Freo, we'd be all saying Spargo wouldn't make our 22. Robbie Fox I'm not a fan of. Trent Dumont is a good player. He probably doesn't offer us what we really need but I'd have him before Brayshaw who whilst performing a role has been pretty wasteful by foot.

My Round 15 Preview and Prediction
Beating essendon by 36 doesn't atone for the pies game. Maybe an 80 point win or some ruthlessness in the win would but we've shown an inability to win big this year and an inability to put out a team out of the game all season. Atoning for the Pies game would be beating a wce, port or geelong. Losing the pies game took away our win against Brisbane. It was bloody hopeless.

Sam Weideman re-signs until 2023
I'm no goal kicking coach but for me his goal kicking woes stem from his action. He's often lauded incorrectly for having a great kicking action, and I can understand why people that don't watch much of him say that, but the reality is that his ball drop is inconsistent. He is way too tense and rigid and fixated on being straight that he looks to have loss all sense of what's natural.

My Round 15 Preview and Prediction
Collingwood was very concerning. Pretty terrible efforts all across the field. Backmen killed, midfield murdered and forwards missing. Essendon by 37

CHANGES: Rd 15 vs Essendon
in the backline. its an obvious option for him. worth trialling.

Fixtures - second half of the season
flawed logic. it's like if it lands on red 11/13 times on the roulette wheel you don't then double down on the same thing happening again.

Trade Targets
Essendon have a great list and future with Cox, Perkins, Langford and Parish providing a pretty good core.
-
Fixtures - second half of the season
Good call. but we were worse against the pies than Adelaide I think.

Fixtures - second half of the season
90% of being 4-5. People expecting any more i suppose are expecting us to go from playing our worst footy to playing our best footy over night.

Brayden Maynard
oh well, it was good while it lasted :)

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - LUKE JACKSON
This would be utterly disastrous if we lost Jackson or Rivers, let alone both. Would set us back 5 years.

My 3 word player analysis V Collingwood
I'd love Petty forward instead of Weideman. Petty has showed promise in his 1 game trialled as a forward.

POSTGAME: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
Agree. We need to kick it to dangerous spots more. We already have some really bad kicks for goal in Weideman, Pickett, Gawn (when forward) and Fritsch's drop punts are very hit and miss over his career. Lets not make things harder by kicking to the bloody pockets. It's a defenders best friend!

POSTGAME: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
I was surprisingly not phased in the first half against Brisbane. I even posted at half time on here saying that it's not as bad as other games. The half against North and the games against Adelaide (and later on Collingwood) were much worse than the first half against Brisbane.

CHANGES: Rd 15 vs Essendon
To be fair it wasn't the forwards fault this weekend. The ball was getting into them horrifically.

If Ben Brown doesnt play the rest of the year
Surely the first B in BBB doesn't stand for big? He's skinny and weak and gets pushed off the ball so easily. The only good thing apart of his game is that he's an accurate kick for goal. But he has shown in the games played so far that he struggles to get separation off his man, is a poor mark over head and terrible defensively. I don't care what he's done in the past and either did North Melbourne. They didn't ship him off for no reason.

My 3 word player analysis V Collingwood
When the game was in the balance, quarters 1 and 4 he didn't lay a single tackle and had 7 possessions for those 2 quarters combined. hopeless.

My 3 word player analysis V Collingwood
May didn't play on Elliott in the first half. He was on Cameron. Hibberd was on Elliott. May would never play on Elliott.

Do you trust Melbourne
I don't trust them at all. Why would we trust them? Because we lost to Adelaide, we lost to Collingwood and were losing at half time to North fricken Melbourne. And the lack of defensive pressure in those games was highly concerning. And we've repeated it 3 times. a 50 point loss to Essendon coming up unless our leaders decide to pull their fingers out of you know where and play good, accountable footy.

POSTGAME: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
The loss to Adelaide and Collingwood and the first half against North has shown just how bad we can be and shows why skeptical supporters like me will remain skeptical. The gap between our best and worst is far too big. I watch a game and I can tell 5 mins in whether we've 'come to play' or not. That shouldn't happen. Yesterday, I could tell almost immediately that we were applying no pressure to their team and guys like Maynard, DeGoey and most of their forwards could stroll into the contest and get the ball whenever they pleased. Bloody disgraceful effort on a stand alone clash.

Dogs or Cats this week?
How about we just focus on playing good footy. We just played footy that was vfl standard for 2 hours. If we keep that up we won't come close to finishing top 4 and will get smashed by the bombers in 2 weeks time.
