  1. bloody hopeless against a [censored] footy team. season done. draw only gets much harder now.
  2. agreed. As far from the goals st possible. I'd put him centre square to touch the ball a bit more
  3. I'm going to be watching petracca and t.mcdonald like a fricking hawk tonight
  4. I feel like the early season form of port and geelong shows the importance of the draft. And for no fault of their own, Lever and May haven't contributed anything to the club and we gave up so many early picks to have them here. I hope we learn and use it this season. on someone with a bit of fricking speed!
  5. well yeah, not telling the fans anything knew but at least he's honest with himself. mcdonald has been pretty awful.
  6. That's a pretty sad bunch of small forwards. Jeffy is a couple seasons out of his best form, jayden and jay can't kick. We need to target a specialist small forward in either the draft or via trading
  7. you really need to finish top 4 to win a flag. Theres exceptions but as a general rule you need to finish top 4. And we've kissed that goodbye. cya next year
  8. not sure why people are picking on petraccas mindset. He clearly cares. I think his workrate is ok. but he is just genuinely slow and has no tank. i'm sure it's improved each season. My issue is his skills in general.
  9. ultimately, he'll never make it as a forward as his kicking is horrendous. he'll never make it as a mid as he fumbles too much and has no rank.
  10. I haven't played footy in years but I reckon if you rolled 100 wet weather footies to petracca and I, he would fumble more of them. Pathetic game. I think his work ethic is there but his level of skill and composure is lacking big time.
  11. for me it's his fumbling. It's an absolute momentum killer. So many instances where he fumbled at critical stages after our team worked so hard to get the ball in the clear and he'd find a new way to butcher it. He has no composure and the more of the ball he gets the more mistakes he's going to make. I dont think he'll be a bust but he is a fringe player at the moment and all of last season also. I'm glad to see Melbourne supporters finally seeing what I've seen for 2 seasons.
  12. very convenient that everyone is saying this now after an 80 point loss. I was shot down for saying this last season. spud. fumble fingers and cant kick
  13. geelong by 43. Cant expect to play good footy when you dont train. so the writing was on the wall months ago. just wished that Goodwin was more transparent
  14. deranged. weideman is clearly a good young player.
  15. lol. you lot. why is everyone talking about his statistics to date when it's clearly about his potential going forward? He has shown he has potential and lets be honest, he is probably worth that amount to us. Especially with the loss of Hogan.
  16. it's why you don't lose to fricken port adelaide who have 4 debutants at the mcg :S
  17. post of the year. agree with everything
  18. good debut but it needs to be said. his ball drop is awful. he lets it go with 2 hands.
  19. agreed. but gawn needs to lift also. he was an absolute disgrace on the weekend. he was slow, he couldn't jump, he was in the wrong spots, he squibbed some contests and was nowhere to be seen most of the game. It simply wasnt good enough
  20. I'd love nothing more than to see oscar McDonald dropped. But he is goodwin's love child. so with that in mind I think it will be: out: frost in: may I agree with the fact that viney looked injured and jones was awful but I'll back them in. We looked slow because we didnt have the ball. ball movement is what makes teams look fast. so we need to show up with intensity, some level of basic skills and we'll automatically improve port players that aren't overly quick: rockliff, boak, Ebert, Houston, Clurey Marshall, Powell pepper port players that are: motlop butters gray duursma and amon so we're not actually that slow but we certainly look it when we dont have possession.
  21. This is a disgraceful post. Watts was on our list 3-4 years too long and the only reason he lasted so long was because we had so many new coaches that wanted to see him before delisting him from the list. So watts plays 1 good game of footy and that excuses his previous 150? Watts was trialled everywhere for us (back middle and forward) and the only thing that remained constant was his lack of intensity and strength in the contest. He played a solid game of footy and that's great. AA? please! He is playing for his spot on the list at Port each week.
  22. agree. that'd be career done at melbourne anyway. I dont have another 18 months of patience.
  23. yeah. that annoyed me. Very convenient for Goodwin to talk about load etc. after a loss. Never mentioned it after we looked terrible in the jlt and had only half our list training at times.
