Pedo will definitely get the call up before Weideman -
Goodwin says Viney & TMac out for 6-8 Weeks
Dr.D replied to Sir Why You Little's topic in Melbourne Demons
I don't care too much about McDonalds injury as it's new and Pedo can come in and do just as well. But Viney, for f#$k sake, they've had 6 months to get it right. I wouldn't have cared if he sat on the couch for 4 months until it was 100% and then build up his cardio after that. Surely the priority is to get his foot right before re-loading. They say he is out for 6-8 weeks. I think most supporters would prefer it to be 15 weeks if it meant he was to be right. -
i dont care how well he presents in the media. gawn was terrible last year in the games he played. yes, i know he was injured but if you pull or the guernsey theres no excuses. he was getting smashed by the likes of hickey etc. needs a big year

Melbourne reveal plans to unleash Jesse Hogan into midfield mix
Dr.D replied to What's topic in Melbourne Demons
he wont last long in the midfield. he doesnt chase in the forward line let alone in the midfield -
Surely this thread is a wind up? There's more chance pick 31 will do more damage in year 1 than Watts doing much more than 12 possessions and a goal a game.
-
stuff it, you got to risk it to get the biscuit. As much as jurrah was a failed experiment the enjoyment that he brought to us over a small period of time was so good to watch.

FB JETTA, FROST, LEVER HB: HIBBERD, J.SMITH, HUNT C: MELKSHAM, OLIVER, LEWIS HF: PETRACCA, T.MCDONALD, NEAL-BULLEN F: GARLETT, HOGAN, HANNAN FOLL: GAWN, JONES, VINEY IC: TYSON, VINCE, SALEM, HARMES - Happy to see Oscar McDonald out of the side in favour of Joel Smith. - Petracca to own HF - Hannan: I right him highly. Can get boot to ball quickly and can kick clutch goals. - I like Harmes. He can light it up when he's on. Just needs continuity with his security in the team. - Vince: he is the last picked in this side. He got really lazy with his kicking last season (especially his kick-ins).

i know its not the jack watts thread but weideman is so far ahead of watts at the same age its not funny. has shown an attack on the ball far superior and also shown better vfl form. weideman is going to be fine.

2017 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Dr.D replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
how good does james worpel look not exactly the player we need but we will go for best player available. he looks just the type that jason taylor needs. -
Frost Hunt and Lever in the same backline would be awesome rebound. Coupled with Hibberd and Jetta who are elite, our backline is almost a strength now. What does this mean for Col Garland?? He's still on the list right?
-
well considering I rate cyril higher than Lever. Lets not forget cyril helped hawks win 3 flags I'd go Cyril and every other player from 2007. so thats 10 combinations and then Dangerfield is also better so I'd take Dangerfield and any other player in 2006 so that's another 10 combinations. So that's a sub-total of 20, plus i'd probably prefer Docherty and Phil Davis so in total there are 21 combinations that i'd prefer over 1 jake lever.
-
We definitely bent over but I would've been more disappointed if we didn't get Lever at all so I'm happy with it. Adelaide are now my most hated team though. The way they acted in this off-season plus their pathetic effort against the eagles which kicked us out of the finals.
-
I believe they will be giving us a late first/early 2nd round pick back to equalise that trade LT
-
you can say that..if you think that oscar mcdonald is likely to win a friggin brownlow. lol! i'd say lever is a 95% chance of earning AA honours at some point in his career. Oscar Mcdonald 0%. if you want me to rephrase i'll say you compared Lever, 'a likely AA in the future, who has already made the AA squad, to Oscar mcdonald.
-
wrong. he has regularly shown to be a deer in the headlights and a poor decision maker.
-
If you're in the squad at 21/22 years old then it's fair to assume.
-
Did you just compare Lever, a future AA who has already been named in the AA squad to Oscar McDonald who so far has yet to prove he belongs on an AFL field? Yikes!
-
18ish? thats assuming we win the flag. i think pick 13 is closer to the mark. so it would be: out: pick 10 (this year), pick 13 (next year) jack watts in: lever, pick 18 (this year)
-
So i had a look at pick 10's in the last 10 years of national drafts, this is who clubs got: Chris Egan Marcus Drum Nathan Brown Dangerfield Phil Davis Melksham Gorringe Sumner Cockatoo Nathan Freeman Makes me feel a bit more at ease knowing that only 2 of those players (Danger and Davis) justified their drat position. So if we have to cough up more, so be it. Lever is a ready made gun for the next 9 years
-
I'd rather be a club of our word. We offered it so we should stick with it. We don't want to stoop to Adelaide's level. All the clubs are watching it too
-
watts and pick 10 to the pies for pick 6. pick 6 and 27 for lever. Watts is a glorified casey player so i think a deal like this is fair.
-
Its pretty easy. pick 10 and 27, take it or leave it. if we don't get Lever, so be it. We pocket the draft picks and enjoy Jason Taylor nail another top 10 pick!
-
Lever was one of their best in the first half. He did well and showed that he cared when he gave it to Townsend at the quarter time break. Beggers can't be choosers, we have Oscar 'deer in the headlights' Mcdonald at the moment for christ sake.

half of the buffoons on this site wanted him dropped because of his foot skills. He attacks the man and ball with ferocity and showed he has goal sense.
