I'm sorry to be a buzz kill but Tomlinson is very average. he is a very poor decision maker and also not quick. not at all sure what the dees recruiting team saw in him. unless he us going to be used as a key forward then I think this is a poor move. I mean, why the hell aren't we throwing everything at Papley? he is literally everything we need. defensive intent and pressure, speed and goal kicking nous. crazy

Stats don't tell the full story. They don't tell you where the shots are, the moment of the game or kicks on the full etc. He tries hard but his goal kicking lets the team and supporters down time and time again.

kicking for goal he meant mate. we have so many bad kicks for goal like petracca, gawn when resting fwd, weideman has good form but misses more than you'd like, spargo cant kick 40m and hunt is a bad kick. so yes, no casboult.

tomlinson is not a good player. sure he fits the age profile but he is very hesitant with the ball in hand. and doesn't offer much in terms of rebound. so I dont see how he helps us.

Tomlinson is cr@p. Marks the ball, a million decisions go through his mind so he freaks out and kicks it long down the line everytime. will definitely slow down our ball movement. no idea why we aren't interested in Papley. he is exactly what we need. exactly.

No hope for next season. Maybe hoping that we get smashed the first 5 weeks and that Goodwin gets sacked and God help us if Alan Richardson takes over. Literally nothing to look forward to. We're a bottom 2 side next year. Terribly skilled and terribly slow and terribly coached.

Agree. 75% of demonlanders want to delist the wrong players and seem to have a footy brain like Goodwin. not a peep out of anyone on this board about fritsch playing defence when he was clearly a fwd. that decision alone probably cost us 3 games. People also wanting to delist weideman is nuts. sure, he's had a bad year. but so has the entire team. he hasnt even been trialed as a backman yet which I think he would be good at and send May forward. Literally Goodwin is the most boring coach in football. his press conferences are a sure cure for sleep apnea.

afl players have been playing footy since they were at primary school and playing at elite levels as juniors such as tac cup then on to an elite afl list for many years. our skills aren't any worse than last season. its 100% structure.
