  1. oh yes, how could I forget the next superstar...
  2. We have no backline? I'd rather this B: person x, Tom McDonald, Neville Jetta HB: Christian Salem, Oscar McDonald, Bernie Vince than this B: Lynden Dunn, Ben Reid, Brayden Maynard HB: Travis Varcoe, Lachie Keeffe, Jeremy Howe
  3. this sums the marvellous bastard up - arrogant, didn't mind a biff, and you knew that as soon as that ball was delivered..he'd do the rest

  5. also, a Stynes and a Brereton in Sandy... surely no relation? Im up country so have no idea...
  6. @Rod Grinter Riot Squad a bed is a bed is a bed - you can always find atmosphere elsewhere appreciate the local knowledge however!
  7. Id take Garland against the Saints, purely from a height/spring perspective @Wiseblood
  8. Thanks for the advice everyone... it is actually cheaper and feels more flexible to book via Expedia/Last Minute etc, rather than an AFL travel package. Not staying at the Chifely @Timothy Reddan-A'Blew , but will wander up there for a yarn... so thank you for the information. I'm staying at the Ibis, which seems to be close to the ground...
  9. Excitement plus! I've decided as a memorial to my Dad to attend the game on the date of his death. It happens to be in Alice this year...which I have never been to before. Do Demonlanders go there? If so, does anyone recommend a hotel in particular. It would be nice to meet up with a few who are going and wax lyrical etc etc. In info is good info! And what should I expect from Alice? And how do we fare up there? Thanks in advance!
  10. can't help but think you googled 'sausage train' - hate to know what also came up in the image selections...
  11. A lament to JT Tis a shame, but who's to blame? Captaincy and injury? He can't ran fast, he can ran far... much like his sister, Jessica The game passed him by, not by far...the painful curse of the navicular ...and the painful curse of Neeld...lack of sentiment, the scythe should wield. Farewell Jack, a great bloke, but we don't do great blokes in AFL - no joke we do athletes in their prime, not Blease, nor Cale, not Grimes, not you, this time.
  12. I hear what your saying Lucifer - although by that method, none of our opinions on Robbie are valid either...
  13. relatively full strength methinks... @Goffer
  14. Again JMAC, only clear transgressions if there is evidence, otherwise its heresay...
  15. You'd hope its false, yet more importantly, for Wallis and Elliot to put this forward, they'll need plenty (and I mean conclusive) evidence that these things occurred - and I hope their advisors have got multiple copies... otherwise it's all seen as conjecture.
  16. Gus, first two years (one with concussion) I thinks his trajectory will be far steeper than it has been for 2017-2019 -and for me, he reminds me of Darren Jarman with inside/outside game -positioning and penetration - Post script - DJ's stats wise (K 13.5, HB 5.5 and G 1.6 per game)
  17. Sniper on the field- presents well on tv - can't help but think being a football pundit would be the easiest thing in the world - vague statements, reactionary, revisionist... still nice to have positive articles being pumped out at the moment...
  18. If only we can get that bloke down the road from him to be a decent player too...Glen, what's his name...Glen Waverly.. tee hee!
  19. It was once of the moments where everyones hands went to their own mouths...
  20. Disappointed this wasn't picked up by the MRP - felt it was worth 1-2 - head is sacrosanct, deliberate and wilful act. You can't touch my Jack!
  21. Spot on Fifty Five - historically we're not comfortable having short odds - I suspect this'll change in 2017 - a lot of foot on throat stuff hopefully...though I'm sure there will be some blips along the way...and thats fine by me - in clock parlance - premiership window - 9.45
