100% agree @demoniac - I remember Hawkins was pilloried for the first 3/4 seasons of his career - and that was a decade ago...same narrative happens... we all 'know' that key talls take longer - unless you are a freak genetically (Hogan) - but we still want awesomeness straight away.

I might be the only one on this forum, I am genuinely confident that we can win the next three - insofar as, not that we will, but we certainly can, based on our game plan and players. IMO - for the record, aside from three weeks (Richmond Hawthorn, St Kilda) where one of the teams was too good (Richmond) and the other two after quarter time we did not bring intensity/spread etc - yes we've had close losses which is disappointing, and the margins of error for a win or a loss are small sometimes. Melbourne can comfortably beat anyone, anywhere.

Simpsons or less likely Lyon is well within their rights to vote that way... irrespective of what occurred. It's not supporting what happened, its removing that incident and looking through a more objective lens....

Nice one @bobby1554 - you forced me to do some quick sums Over the 19 rounds thus far we are 8.32 points per game (1 and a bit goals) behind Richmond in conceding (who are first in this field) we are 9.05 points per game ahead of Richmond in scoring (who are the 2nd in this field) As Goodwin says..we're not far off it - and considering the depth of experience of their core players (5-7 more years of experience compared to ours) and particularly since 2017 - Richmonds group of Rance, Martin Cotchin and a few others have missed perhaps 1 game each)...again compared to Hogan, Gawn, Viney, Tmac etc - we are delivering rather rather rather well.

I'm even more optimistic - Geelong at KP as a win and dependent on the Eagles 2 forwards - another one there - So I'm banking another 6 win in a row run, a loss to the Swans and another 2 wins in brutal hard fashion. 16/6 for mine... unless the wheels fall off.

there are no cleanskins anywhere... people have fallings out either inadvertently or otherwise in life... clearly there are no MAJOR ethical or governance concerns...and his resumè and body of work is exemplary. We are a destination club on and off the park, at this point in time...amen to that.
