  1. [censored] poor commentary really, The hawks are a disgrace. Spit the dummy when they lose. And throw in the towel and LOSE BIG whenever they DO lose. On target to meet their 30p/ losing margin avg
  2. My Hawthorn hate is stronger than my Demon love, this year. The loudest shouts of "YESSSSS" in that third all year when they broke the game open. 3 years of pent up frustration explodes.
  3. He's "passing on the baton" and now plans to ruin all future Dog games.
  4. the stage is set for FITZY to kick 7 goals and for me to say I TOLD YOU SO on the worst trade ever.
  5. But who's going to cover over old Dee Clarko's mistakes tonight? Old Dee Bevo?
  6. Barrett just said he was looking at offers. One silly club might have thrown a bit of money at him. Would prefer him over Vickery. Hawthorn would be crazy to not chase Daw instead.
  7. I know Bliclavs is not on the market, but he's a player i'd throw big money at to lure over to Melbourne to jump into the ruck when Gawn needs a rest instead of Vardy. Slightly off topic and in the dreaming direction
  8. Its a self perpetuating cycle isn't it... "You're not a big enough club to get a Friday night game" - You can't become a big enough club without a Friday night game. Just increasing the financial disparity
  9. http://www.perthnow.com.au/sport/afl/teams/west-coast/former-west-coast-club-champion-eric-mackenzies-future-uncertain-ahead-of-trade-period/news-story/407eb3797fc7411925c459ee2e29d486?nk=4102d4c3f6f17b887f8ce20df71d9668-1473832682 Didn't see a thread for him? Would command a spot in the 22 and put pressure on OMac, Frost & Wagner to maintain their consistency or develop a further year at Casey, West Coast are looking for a replacement for Lycett and have confirmed they're looking at Petrie. What about trading Chris Dawes for MacKenzie?
  10. I hope he trains hard and gets his body ready for the Round 1 Honorary Friday Night Melkshake Cup Clash with Essendon.
  11. Agree. It's possible to bring in depth that is actually competing for the best 22, instead of not in the best 22. Eric MacKenzie the West Coast defender is on the market. You don't have depth for the sake of depth, they're either good enough or they're delisted. Edit: If Oscar or Wagner get injured and Dunn or Garland are depth, then we're basically accepting a stagnant year in the same ladder position as last year or worse.
  12. If Hogan was traded for #3 and __, Would we consider using 3# on Prestia and screw over Richmond? (is he worth that?)
  13. We better not trade for Freo's future 2017 first round pick as they could shoot back up the ladder and play finals and then you're looking at pick 12-18
  14. As the consensus seems to be #3 and a player if Hogan was to leave. What would we do with #3 ?
  15. Can Son of Smith jump high enough? He might be a smaller Jeff White? 191cm? I suppose he's a few years away from being ready.
  16. How about we use pick 12 and Colin Garland to swoop in on Dion Prestia Surely it's worth it just for the shits and giggles.
  17. My 'unders' outlook is probably a bit too negative. I think Hogan might be a flop and getting in Gaff, Motlop/Hartlett might be making out like bandits if two players contribute meaningfully to our club for 5 years. I know we should trade him for his potential as a key forward for a decade, but I think he might turn into an average forward that gets too frustrated enough to meaningfully shape a clubs impact on a premiership. Other clubs probably have this view as a fear and might also be loathed to part with #3 and Weller. Gaff, #12 & McKenzie?
  18. My idea might have been lost in the bickering posts or ignored for being stupid, but what if: Pick 12 AND 3rd/4th round is traded for Motlop and Vardy. Or a pick swap takes place. Or as others have proposed, #12 for Hartlett? You're then gaining Gaff, Motlop, Hibberd & Vardy and losing Hogan, pick 27 and 3/4th round while going into next years draft with all picks. Feel free to throw tomatoes at me, but this is only if Hogan wants to leave. I don't see what's so great about pick 12 this year really, better to attract a player.
  19. Do you think Pick 12 would be worth giving up for Steven Motlop? (#3 obv not) People might think this is overs, but as you saw on Friday night, he made an impact. Footy Classified brought up Geelong wanting future draft picks and needing to get rid of a player who might be asking for 600,700k Gaff & Motlop, Hibberd wouldn't be a bad trade period to receive for Hogan & Pick 27 While still retaining next years 1st & 2nd round picks We would just have to look for a Ruck/Fwd, Drop Gawn back more often and put more weight on Watts shoulders and give Wiedemann/Hulett/ Son of Smith some time in the seniors. We could develop quite an athletic and pacey small forward line with the caveat of an unpredictable Vardy/Gawn combo
  20. It's 11 degrees and raining in Melbourne. The word "Thailand" Should be censored with asterisks as it conjures up all sorts of fantasy's
  21. By sheer weight of supporter numbers, there are much more rumor mongers out there for the big clubs and so every club is linked to Coll, RIch, Ess & Haw
  22. I think another example of short sightedness is The Bulldogs playing Adelaide at the MCG last year. They earnt an Etihad final and yes it would have earnt less money in that week. But what they missed out on was a Dogs v Hawks semi final that might have had far more people and not had hundreds of thousands of people switching off the tv at half time.. The long term benefits of fixturing equalisation and "shot term attendance pain" probably would have a net-positive impact in the long term with the health of the competition boosting membership numbers and attendances from less apathetic people.
  23. "Essendon in the race for Hartlett" Oh God. And they've got #1 to trade. They should receive the same draft pick as where they finished the in 2015. The AFL has become a farce. http://www.triplem.com.au/melbourne/sport/afl/news/2016/9/victorian-club-enters-hamish-hartlett-race/
  24. I just worry that his shinboner spirit is too small, and if we played him in defense he's be giving away a few inches
