  1. Was it ex-Geelong player Josh Walker that we passed on but many in here were divided over? He was either worthwhile or a spud. For Brisbane he kicked 23g from 16 games and 4marks/game which was the same as Pederson. Not sure how much time he rucked, but averaged 5 hitouts a game. http://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/ft_player_compare?playerStatus1=A&tid1=20&playerStatus2=A&tid2=12&type=A&pid1=3557&pid2=3552&fid1=S&fid2=S
  2. I mean the irony is that Biffen thinks it disqualifies Dal Santo from having leadership attributes when one of the best captains ever was involved in the same scandal.
  3. The Irony is that one of the best captains the game has seen that has captained the 2nd most games in the history of the sport, was also "exposing himself on the internet"
  4. I said that if he has a big september it could be one of our worst list decisions for a long time knowing that we might be going into trade week looking for a ruck/forward while having persistent injuries to Dawes & Pedo. Plenty of people including me thought he showed potential and wasn't a list clogger last year. It's not an attack on the club, just a mere list management opinion, hardly petty and childish. Your vitriolic offended reaction with the "wow 6th post" and now calling my opinion petty, is actually what is childish and petty. Just keep it to a civil footy discussion without the attack if you disagree. It's not difficult
  5. Ahh good, some bite! two good goals from Ziebell and Majak!
  6. Boomer on top of their stat sheet so far with 14 pos and 47 points. Dal santo down the bottom. Bit of a stink about this club really. They're a chore to watch. So messy and the biggest whimper they have is some push n shove.
  7. 11 disposals and 15 fantasy points halfway through the second. Boomer on top, Dal Santo on bottom of stat sheet, heh.
  8. 25 disposals and 75 points? Seems like a pretty average/good game stats wise, though I wasn't paying too much attention to his effectiveness, he's certainly not a matchwinner yet is he?
  9. Wouldn't mind Toby Greene in my team. Come play with Buggy
  10. Kennedy taken out has unsettled the Swans. He's a pretty important player. Johnson out of the next game will be the fair punishment for taking him out of play and shifting momentum
  11. The Saints delisted tall defender Luke Delaney didn't they? Maybe Goodwin is also covering bases and making back-up plans if Hibberd falls through. Shenton?
  12. If GWS win tomorrow then the Hawks losing might actually work in their favor. I'd tip them in a prelim up there coming up aginast a GWS team that has only played one game in the last 3-4 weeks
  13. They've never had to play in a Sydney final in 3 seasons, I think they've also been lucky to avoid Kangas at the MCG in the last two seasons who I think would have had a big scrappy fight with them in a final. They played a Freo who had survived on scrappy wins for an entire second half of a season last year who's only tactic was FYFE. This year I think it is probably too much. Go Dogs!
  14. Not my original, but Patrick Clangerfield balloons it long like it's 1964
  15. Pretty bad game so far, lots of people but no atmosphere. No decent play so far. Maybe a Puopolo and Hawkins mark but not much else. I know its said a lot but it actually genuinely feels like a game between two entitled brats. Boring
  16. Hawthorn look like they're going to win this
  17. Have you noticed that Adolf Sicily is not out there? He's out due to a sickness. Fitzy becomes even more important tonight
  18. I though our forward line was responsible for that loss, they had so many missed shots on goal it was tragic. The Eagles bully every club for easy goals at home, i just chalk that up to the natural order of things. I just think we've put faith in the development of McD's & Frost and any defender we get will be only be a depth swap for Garland & Dunn. Any possible move we made to get the A grade player required to stop Riew/Daniher in the year preceeding the growth of our youth, would be to the detriment of other pressing trade needs.
  19. Weren't most teams to a lesser degree? I think you notch those matchups to the "Oscar will grow into the role of stopping them in a year or two" category and put more eggs in the midfield and outside runners trade basket tbh You're not stopping Riewoldt or Daniher without giving up a first round pick (Carlisle?) OR developing your own defending youth. B Grade defenders are on the table because they can't stop big forwards. Our defensive performances against Hawthorn and Port Adelaide showed we have a capable defence and Hurley wasn't such a pressing need. It's the turnovers in the middle and midfield leadership that killed our defence in the last two rounds, not the personnel\ Tom and Oscar McDonald and Frost were signed in response to "tall defenders are needed" - I don't know how much taller a forwardline needs to get to have us covered but it's surely not a frequent occurence that warrants adding more defensive depth on the sideline.
  20. Anyone going to the game tonight with binoculars that can provide up to the minute updates on Fitzy for the benefit of Demonlanders?
  21. Fitzpatrick starting Full Forward in a Hawthorn v Geelong Qualifying Final. Can't wait to see him but it will be slightly bitter sweet if he crashes packs, their small forwards get on top and he kicks a bag Could be one of the biggest list management failures of our history if he has a big September, and a few weeks later we're shopping for a ruck/fullforward.
  22. I would just think they would want something more substantial than a fringe player that played a handful of unremarkable games and 15. 15 & Garlett/Vandenberg perhaps? I don't know whether that's overs or unders considering Garletts form. 15 or ANB/Michie/Dawes/JKH seems too little.
