  1. Same for me.
  2. Seems a pretty positive report there, but as stated above, pretty much the only one to get a sort of negative comment was Weetra, which I guess is a bit of a worry. To slide from being worthy of AFL selection to hardly having an impact in VFL reserves is not a good thing. Poor guy, but I don't think he will make it.
  3. Well I would first see how well he improves at W.C. this year coping with a heavy tag, but nonetheless of course we would take him if available. Though we all know that he either won't leave, or if he does will probably want to go somewhere where he returns to being no 2. So he would really have to want to come here for us to get him. Btw, who did he support in his youth? Wasn't us was it?
  4. Exactly. No need to do something stupid. He could well have stuffed it up.
  5. Well they've got the majority of their team on the field, save for Priddis and Hansen (whose overrated anyway), and they're not really putting up much of a fight. Kerr can't cope with being no. 1 instead of 2 or 3, Lynch is starved of opportunity now that the midfield is worse... sometimes clubs just have bad years so i think W.C. will do pretty bad. Not bad enough to win 4 or less, but they won't make finals
  6. Ah good point I didn't think about a lap of honour. Maybe this would suffice.
  7. Many people have Yze retiring either during or at the end of 2008. There is much talk of Neitz getting a send-off game or whatever, yet no one seems to want to see Yze back in the team this year. Firstly, should he be played again this year, and secondly, if not, does he deserve to come back for a farewell considering he's been a fine servant of the MFC?
  8. Miller has to play CHF - we lacked a presence against Carlton at CHF, someone who could take a mark like Miller needs to play forward not in defence. Carroll will start on Brown, but Frawley has to have a go on him (unless of course Carroll somehow wins...). Maybe Bell to Bradshaw to start with, but I'm 100% certain that Bradshaw will beat whoever we put on him, therefore don't waste Rivers on him. Mind you, Rivers as a loose man in defence didn't really work on the weekend. Btw, now that Sylvia seems to be playing in defence, who will he play on?
  9. I like it. But, considering he's not a poll option, I vote for Bruce. Not because I want it, but because I think that's what will happen (saw him giving a press conference today).
  10. Well I would suspect that Whelan could take this one to the tribunal and hope to lower the 'intentional' conduct to either negligent or reckless which would lower the points. I can't believe that he got 2 weeks for that.
  11. I absolutely agree, and what's more, I'll bet that Neita won't allow his career to finish like this. He'll work through his injury, announce his retirement and then beat the hell out of whoever he comes up against in his farewell match. Dunno who we play in the last few rounds (I know Port is one of them), but if we play MCG in round 22, there would be a huge crowd.
  12. I don't remember much about this draft (other than the names of the players) - was Deledio a 'certainty' to go no.1 like Kreuzer was? If not, was Franklin's name mentioned?
  13. Thanks mate. Yeh well after they'd kicked their 9th in a row I started focusing on some of the players, Frawley being one.
  14. I can't believe more positive things aren't being said about him. I thought he showed a lot of promise and fits the game plan well - he attacks the ball, runs and carries, and can actually kick to a target. He's got strength too. Hopefully he keeps it going because he could fill the void down back.
  15. Well in terms of brownlow he's got 3 vs Brisbane, likely 3 vs Melbourne, possible votes vs Adelaide so its a good start.
  16. I like that idea. Both can kick goals and win the ball through the middle.
  17. No, but then again, who expected them to beat Collingwood last week? No one, really. So even though, on paper, the different team is Carlton, we are not without a chance.
  18. I'm happy to see Frawley back in. Would love to see him go to Fev first up. Gotta give him a go I say.
  19. Thats the funniest thing I've read in years. The sad bit about is that probably the only truthful thing you've got is Jamar's crappiness.
  20. Here's a suggestion from left field - Rivers.
  21. Freo has gotta be our one and only chance should we fluff our chance this week. We will lose to Brisbane by quite a lot given that Bradshaw invariably kicks 5 or more goals against us. The last three you've mentioned will be interesting...
  22. What, is there some rule saying that rookies get a minimum 2 year contract or something? Can you explain this one?
  23. Based on his performance against Hawthorn I don't want him in the side until he puts in more of a defensive effort and works on his mobility. Having said that he's the future of our forward line so he needs AFL game time.
  24. They've got 2 wins already and can play good enough football to win 3 more. No way they'll do that badly. I reckon Freo might do much worse than them.
  25. Brown + Bradshaw + Black and co. kicking to them = Good Neitz + Robertson + whoever kicking to them = Not good
