  1. You're kidding, right? I love how spending the night with a passionate Essendon supporter gives you the impression that Essendon supporters like him. Laughable. We do need midfielders, but we can do a hell of a lot better than Melksham.
  2. I don't see why it can't come back. It's something to think about at any rate.
  3. I always thought there should be awards at the end of the season in the vain of the Bluey for the board. Probably not named 'rubbish poster', but awards for best thread, talks the most drivel, poster of the year etc. Could be a bit of fun.
  4. And we award the Tom Gillies "Rubbish Poster" award to you, picket. Congrats and enjoy your win!
  5. Honestly made me laugh out loud then Ethan. Thanks for that! Edit: Jack Vatts - it's still making me laugh. I need to go to bed...
  6. Nice use of the English language there dazzle...
  7. Interesting comparison - while he is no world beater, Pedersen has been very handy for us in plenty of games. Dean Terlich's contract is a far better comparison. Or Matt Jones' for that matter.
  8. So did Jamar. And Sean Charles. And Brent Heaver!
  9. He's on 34 votes. Something to do with ASADA I heard...
  10. Glad Garland is getting some recognition from the coaches early on. Had a good, consistent year. The calls for him to be let go are wide of the mark. Plays his role and does what the coaches ask.
  11. Only a slight step above John Butcher. That should tell you all you need to know. Pass.
  12. I'm not a fan either mate, but we've shown ourselves to be shrewd in the trade market over the last few years. Might have to just trust them on this one and hope for the best if it's true.
  13. Put him on ignore like I have. The experience here improves remarkably.
  14. That's interesting, as Damo claimed he spoke to Cam's manager who confirmed he had asked to be traded back to WA. Not saying what you've posted above is wrong, just interesting!
  15. He didn't say that's what we were offering, just what Howe was asking for - 4 years and plenty of cash. Whether or not we meet that remains to be seen.
  16. Apparently Freo are the 'early' front runners for his services. They need him more than the Eagles do anyway. Damo said that Freo are, of course, keen on Hogan but at this stage believe it is unlikely he will be interested in coming home in the near future.
  17. Damo just made the comment on the Footy Show that talks are ongoing with Howe, he wants 4 years on good money and we aren't willing to meet those money demands. If memory serves correctly Damo also said that we are unlikely to meet those money demands as well, so if he stays it will be on our terms. Seems as though we would be happy to offer him 4 years though.
  18. I know, I know, I shouldn't have done it. I was shaking my head the moment I clicked 'post'.
  19. Are you going by the HUN article? Because if you are, what you've said above isn't entirely correct. The article suggests that the Bombers could target him if the Saints aren't willing to part with Pick 5 in the draft for Carlisle. At no stage does it say that's what the Bombers are asking for at the moment.
  20. I'll humour you and ask.... why would Heeney be asking for a trade after just one season with Sydney? Makes zero sense to me.
  21. Someone used this quote elsewhere (could have been in this thread actually), but we only need to recruit players who are going to make us better. Melksham isn't one of those players. He isn't an upgrade on some of the depth players on our list and, therefore, isn't worth pursuing.
  22. Howe for Bennell would be perfect. I don't know if GC would take that as a straight swap but Bennell would be far, far more useful to us going forward than Howe would be.
  23. I agree that it's sad to hear about how bad his concussion issues were, I wouldn't wish that on anybody. And I think he was spot on in his appraisal of both clubs and said things that we already know are true. However he also didn't get the best out of his abilities and didn't work as hard as he should have on the flaws in his game. That, coupled with the concussions issues, all contributed to him not being able to play AFL at it's highest level. I wish him all the best in the future and hope there are no long term medical issues for him.
  24. Neither at that price. Give the cash to J. Hogan instead.
  25. Get over it mate, Kroozer will be a Demon!!
