I don't know if I would class Redden as a 'crap' player, but I get your drift. I use this line with most players on the market - I'd be happy with him at the right price. I don't want the FD to panic and overpay for someone like him as we simply can't afford to do it. If he came to the club at a fair price then he would be a handy addition and an instant best 22 player for the club.

You've tried to make this point 3 times jumbo. Any reason why you don't rate him, or is it just a personal opinion?

Paul Roos heralds more onfield changes at Demons
Wiseblood replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
I know we were linked to Cross for a while, but not sure if it was at this stage of the season. We were also linked with a trade with GWS, but Tyson wasn't the player until very late in proceedings. -
Why would anyone go to Carlton? Outside of money they would go close to having even less appeal than us.

Paul Roos heralds more onfield changes at Demons
Wiseblood replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Outside of Prestia and Lynch we haven't been linked with many players. There are a number of players looking to move clubs, yet we don't seem to be linked to many. I'll be interested to see the route we go this off season - are we able to top up with more talent, or do we go back to the draft again? I am hoping we are able to bring in some talent that is ready to go, but I'm not convinced there is enough talent out there that we can get. It's going to be another interesting off season for us. -
We were the wrong club at the time for Blease. I would be confident that, had he been drafted now by the club, he would have had a better chance at building his tank and become a damaging player for us. Unfortunately he came to the club at it's darkest time, and for a player who lacked confidence and that extra drive to succeed, it was a recipe for disaster. All the best to him for the future.

No - he wanted Jones to lament how Riley was overlooked and bemoan a new contract for Toumpas.

Der-Wayne is the king, queen and master of flogs. I mute the TV when he commentates.

Good. You're not needed.

Why is every one of your posts related to what Roos said earlier in the week? You don't need to reference it in ever single post you make. It's tedious. As for the game - woeful, woeful start. We hung in there due to them taking their foot off the gas slightly and us lifting our intensity around the ground. There were some positives and the usual disappointing performances as well. There is much work to be done this pre season.

Grimes has been terrific in this second half. 20 touches and lots of good defensive efforts. Great stuff.
-
Yep, out injured since half time. Hasn't helped the rotations. They are saying it's concussion.
-
I don't know if it's possible and if we had the funds, but I'd be doing everything in our power to buy out the last year of their contracts. Either that or trying to trade them for picks in the 100s. Just get them off the list any way we can.
-
Well done Max! Reckon he's gone ok against Sandi today. What the hell has happened to Spencer? Absent since half time and Max has had to ruck on his own.

Holy [censored] [censored] Matt Jones you are a horrible footballer. Just [censored] off already.
-
Yeah sorry mate, how could I possibly give our boys any sort of credit? Silly me.
-
When Hogan gets involved we look a much better side. Can't fault the effort after the horrible start. We've matched them since then.
-
Same with Bernie, Jeffy and even Mini Macca. But only having 5 play well isn't exactly what we're after.
-
Who knows. He won't be on the list next year anyway.

Har de har har.

At least we've steadied a bit. Dockers will go close to a flag this year. We aren't within 1,000,000 kilometres of a flag

Picket Fence has just had a heart attack. Great show of faith from the club. Jimmy can now put in another solid pre-season and then hopefully come out firing in 2016. He has plenty to prove but I think he is capable of silencing his critics. Good luck to the kid.

Will the Big Russian get a farewell game?
Wiseblood replied to The Lobster Effect's topic in Melbourne Demons
He hasn't played for most of the year despite being in decent form. I think that's enough of a sign he won't be playing here next year.- 85 replies

Will the Big Russian get a farewell game?
Wiseblood replied to The Lobster Effect's topic in Melbourne Demons
My thought is that either resting Gawn or swapping him for Spencer would be the way to go. It won't hurt their development in the final day of the season and it means we can send the Russian out with one final game. I could be wrong though mate and he may well not get a game at all. But I'm hoping he does.- 85 replies

Wiseblood replied to The Lobster Effect's topic in Melbourne Demons
Why? Our season is over. If we were a chance at finals I would agree, but bringing him in for one game at the end of the year doesn't hurt us at all. Russian has been a tremendous servant of our club and it would be terrific to see him get one final game.- 85 replies
