So he is probably coming to us. I say probably as it hasn't been confirmed, but it's likely going off what we know. I'm not a huge fan but I'll back the club if, and it's a big IF, we can trade something that equals his value. Bombers will know our first rounder is too high and seek a second rounder... which I still think is too high. I'd give nothing more than a third rounder if possible, but the Bombers won't go for that. I'm hoping like hell we don't go overboard to get him.

Dees just signed 4 more: Billy Stretch and ANB until the end of 2017, while Mitch White and Max King have signed on as rookies for 2016! All good signings as far as I'm concerned!

To play the Devil's advocate here dazzle... does one season make you a better player than someone else? If Dom Tyson had a better year statistically than, say, Nathan Jones, does that make him a better player than him? He might have had the better year, but that doesn't make him a better player. If Pedersen had played the entire year then those stats would be more useful as we would have a larger scope for comparing between the two. I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you, more than your assertion that Pedersen is a better player and that it's 'simple really' is not as simple as you make it out to be.

In all seriousness it's a decent signing to keep our key position stocks strong after letting Fitzy and Jamar go. We couldn't let three of them leave. He isn't a world beater but he has a dip and is good for our depth. One year deal fits perfectly as well.

Some of those are mere speculation though, particularly Bennell, Aish and Selwood. It's been stated Selwood is keen to stay in WA. But I get your point. It seems players just want to either go home these days or go running to a premiership contender. It's pathetic. How soon are clubs going to overlook interstate talent and just draft or sign players from their own state? So many players want to 'go home' these days that clubs will overlook them and just draft players where that won't be a factor.

The word is that he was asking for over 300k a year to stay at the Pies. Seems like he is just a little on the arrogant side for a bloke who hasn't been able to get on the park for 2 years. Seems like the perfect fit for a club like St. Kilda.
