  1. Pi$$ was well and truly taken mate.
  2. Jack Grimes.
  3. Colin Garland to have 30 touches, 12 marks, 15 effective spoils, 100%DE and kick a long bomb goal late in the last quarter to put us up by 10 goals.
  4. No, he isn't. I can't remember who has replaced him this season but Buckley is still there.
  5. Brilliant. Spelling his actual name takes less letters, yet picket does it the hard way.
  6. But that is why they 'rotate' through the midfield. Spend the majority up forward and then spend 5 minutes in the guts. Garlett, in particular, was given a few centre bounces during the NAB Cup. I do agree, however, that only 3 of the above may be picked to play on Saturday with the other (in my opinion it will be Harmes) being VERY stiff to miss.
  7. Thanks for the report Spencer. The info re: the 18 who were doing some of the main drills was very interesting indeed. It doesn't mean all of them will get picked, as there were some very handy players who didn't take part, but it gives us a pretty clear idea as to who will be playing come Saturday. I'll touch wood as I write this as well, but it's also terrific to see our injury list is pretty small for this time of the year. Three wins and a small injury list is a great way to roll into Round 1!
  8. Should be a terrific game of footy. Us by a couple of goals.
  9. True, although Roos didn't say anything that the public didn't know already. We knew he would have copped it behind the scenes.
  10. 2 things I got out of that: Very happy to hear Roos giving Petracca a serve and setting the standards. It can only be a good thing going forward. The other is that I reckon Roosy just used Hogan as an example. He mentions how often he goes to them for advice and things to work on, and so he used him as an example that is similar to Petracca.
  11. Agree on both. I think Stringer is Top 50, but not in the Top 10. Lots of players with consistent runs on the board that were overlooked for him. Buddy is the same. Top 50 for sure, but not that high. Who knows if he'll be the same player?
  12. Show us your Top 50 then SWYL.
  13. If people are still spelling Trengove as 'Trengrove' around here, then the chances of his last name being spelled right on a consistent basis are slim to none.
  14. I won't link to the article right now as it's behind the HUN paywall, but he's certainly made some interesting calls with it. The only Melbourne player on the list is... Jesse Hogan, who is at #46. Got in ahead of Jones (who he listed as unlucky) and Vince, who didn't get a mention at all. His Top 10 was: Ablett, Fyfe, Dangerfield, Mitchell, Franklin, Goldstein, J. Kennedy (Eagles), Hodge, Pendlebury, Stringer. The other thing I found interesting was that, behind Hawthorn, who had 8 players, Richmond were the next best with 5 players named. I'll try and post the rest of the list later today unless someone else does it before me. Edit - And yes, I know it's just a list, and I know Robbo is a bit of a [censored], but it's worth the discussion.
  15. It's a Casey intra-club game.
  16. It's interesting you say that WJ - in years gone by I would agree, yet if the club is a sniff of finals going in to the last few rounds then he might just have to wait until 2017 to get those couple of games. It would be nice to see that happen for the first time in almost a decade.
  17. I'm only going by the twitter feed but he's already had 2 shots on goal but missed them both. He has gotten both shots from marks on the lead though so that's a good sign early.
  18. The list was of players who have permission to play on the weekend - while I hope he comes up as well, the above just means he can play if he is right to go. Fingers crossed that's the case but Misson stated he was 50/50 for the weekend.
  19. Don't open this can of worms. You'll be like Alice falling down the rabbit hole.
  20. Possibly, although Lumumba gets a look in due to playing across half back where guys like Wagner and Hunt haven't established themselves. Harmes is fighting for a crowded spot in the forward line. Different cases.
  21. Let's not get TOO carried away. I'm thinking he'll kick 10 against Essendrug. Better?
  22. Great news about Brayshaw! And I like that Petracca and Trengove are being held back slightly and will play a few games at Casey at the beginning of the year. Would love to see them in the side by Round 4 or 5.
  23. Great point DeeZee. I can recall some supporters being a little dubious about his recruitment, and rightly so, due to what had been happening off the field in 2014. Then he had a few issues with the courts and plenty were up in arms about it. It's a credit to both Garlett and the club with how well he has turned his life and career around, and long may it continue!
  24. How isn't it the truth? His kicking is what let's him down. I distinctly recall some excellent work from him yesterday as well in amongst a few brain farts with his kicking. He is excellent one on one, is rarely beaten and does his job with minimal fuss. Off topic a bit, but I don't think there are any losers on our list from this pre-season. Guys like ANB and Stretch know they have hard work ahead of them for a spot in the 22 and that will make them work even harder. That's great for the club going forward.
