Don't open this can of worms. You'll be like Alice falling down the rabbit hole.
-
Possibly, although Lumumba gets a look in due to playing across half back where guys like Wagner and Hunt haven't established themselves. Harmes is fighting for a crowded spot in the forward line. Different cases.

Let's not get TOO carried away. I'm thinking he'll kick 10 against Essendrug. Better? -
Great news about Brayshaw! And I like that Petracca and Trengove are being held back slightly and will play a few games at Casey at the beginning of the year. Would love to see them in the side by Round 4 or 5.

Jeffy Garlett, the bargain of the century!

Great point DeeZee. I can recall some supporters being a little dubious about his recruitment, and rightly so, due to what had been happening off the field in 2014. Then he had a few issues with the courts and plenty were up in arms about it. It's a credit to both Garlett and the club with how well he has turned his life and career around, and long may it continue! -
How isn't it the truth? His kicking is what let's him down. I distinctly recall some excellent work from him yesterday as well in amongst a few brain farts with his kicking. He is excellent one on one, is rarely beaten and does his job with minimal fuss. Off topic a bit, but I don't think there are any losers on our list from this pre-season. Guys like ANB and Stretch know they have hard work ahead of them for a spot in the 22 and that will make them work even harder. That's great for the club going forward.

Tom McDonald needs to take a good hard look at himself.

I wouldn't say that just yet, but he is certainly saying the right things. As so many of us have said - if we win games, the players will stay. It's that simple. -
The replay should be up on the AFL website. Edit - sorry jnr, didn't realise you need AFL live pass for that.

Saturday Talking Point: The NAB Challenge

It was 39 degrees in Perth so the 'heat' rules were put into effect, one of those being unlimited rotations. -

Carlton have allowed some serious quality walk out there door for not much over the last few seasons. It boggles the mind really. -
His first half was very poor, but he found his feet a little more as the game went on. I think Lumumba will come straight in for Round 1 though.
-
Not flash mate. Casey on the whole were pretty awful.
-
Goodwin said in his after match presser that Brayshaw should be able to play for Casey this week, same as AVB and Dunn. I'd say if he plays and comes through unscathed then he'll get a gig for Round 1.

Lots of things to like about the game. The one thing that stood out again was our fitness. For three weeks in a row we've run out games really well, and it was even more impressive with the interchange caps in place and an injury early in the game. Watts was fantastic as the link up man, our small forwards applied huge amounts of pressure and our midfield got on top as the game went on. Some handy players to return as well means that we couldn't be going on to Round 1 with a better frame of mind.
-
Looked like cramp. Can we hold the 'injury' calls until we know more. Each time a player grimaces everyone is jumping on to claim they're injured.
-
Thankfully that's all he looked! A week off and he should be fine for Round 1.
-
Obsessed. Just laid a handy tackle by the way, or did you miss that?
-
Obsessed.

Look out, everyone is panicking! It's as if we're down by 5 goals!
-
No. You could say the same about Steve. Maybe Col slept with his sister. Let's not turn the game thread into another one of these arguments. We're playing good footy, let's focus on that.
-
He's missed a few targets, but still hasn't been beaten one on one. Plenty of others have turned it over today too, but you've probably missed those.
-
The players are stuffed!
-
I'm just waiting for Sandy to call Garlett 'Austin Wonaemirri' so we can finally put him out to pasture. He is still better than Der-wayne though.
-
Jeff Garlett is on FIYAH!! Also - Max Gawn has excellent vision. His handpass under pressure set up that goal for Kent.
