At the moment we are playing right into their hands. When we get the ball across half back they are just waiting for us to bomb it long inside 50. As soon as it hits the deck, or they mark it uncontested, they are off and running. We are allowing them easy footy through the middle of the ground and that is making us look slow and lazy. If we can use the ball better, get some of our players involved like Watts, Kent, Harmes, Hogan etc and cut off their easy run through the middle, then we'll be okay.

Thank goodness for half time. Hopefully the boys take some responsibility for this effort.

No idea why they're doing it, it's not as if it will fire up their team. Half of them are ring ins who are only in it for the coin, they have no ties to the Bombers at all.

Of course the club has stuck by him. We could have traded him away multiple times. But we could always see the potential and we've given him the opportunity to reach that, which it seems he is now doing.

Just give them a belting, Dees. No mucking around. No allowing them the first clearance and a frustrating first goal to a nobody like Orazio Fantasia. Just get in there, push them around and belt the living suitcase out of them so we can go 2-0 and go in with confidence against those soft Shinboners in Round 3. Dees by 55.

You probably need to give it more time than just two games. He's got his hands on it 23 times so he is clearly running hard and getting to all the right positions.

He only looked at two clubs IMO. Imagine if he looked at other Vic clubs like the Dogs...

I've been following the Dees since 1897 and wow, what a day out Fred Fanning had. I was there. He should have kicked 25. I've seen plenty get in double figures, Hogan will do the same tomorrow and bring back memories of Arthur Cox kicking 12 for us in the 1903 semi final.

I know a few are knocking Treloar's disposal tonight, but he would walk into our side and I'd be happy to welcome him. The bloke is a gun.
