We wait for next year every year. Let's just save ourselves the trouble and start preparing for 2017 now. This is pathetic. I agree we have improved under Roos, but as I said, surely it makes these record breaking capitulations even more inexcusable doesn't it?

If I hear one thing about the scarred past this week I will vommit. All against a side with no more exerience than us. There most experienced player plays for us for christs sake.

i can't judge his leadership, hard to do from the outside, but his footy is well down on his last couple of exceptional years.

Maybe it's just me but I don't have much ill feeling towards Brock. The club wasted a chunk of his career by tanking, he was angry and he had every right to be. He was definitely naive to do that interview but if you think he was the one who forced the investigation, you are kidding yourself. There were definitely powers above pulling the strings.

This is mighty fun to watch. Just wish we had got in on the act and thumped them as well.

To put his improvement down to the improvement of the team is misguided IMO. I think there are clear improvements in his game since he game back from his self dropping. His composure in traffic and while being tackled has been his big improvement this year, rather than the things he has always done well, like his disposal. And I think that is down to confidence and teaching, rather than simply us being a better team.

We all wanted Michie to get a fair crack at it, rather than being in, then out, then sub, then out, and so on. He has had 2 games on the trot now in the starting 21 and failed to impress. He looks low on confidence, and is getting very frustrated with himself when he makes errors he normally wouldn't make, but that is what the step up to AFL level is all about. Personally, I would keep him in the team for another week and give him that 3 game stretch I think he deserves. But it is a case of don't perform and it is curtains unfortunately. Geez that is a brutal tackle, and I absolutely love it. I have said a couple of times this year, but Jack's season has been excellent. I love the way he goes about it and I expect him to finish top 3 to 5 in the B&F

At the half way point, I had Cripps, Hogan, Brayshaw in that order, but relatively close. Since then Cripps has been a little quieter (except for last week), Hogan has gone from strength to strength, while Brayshaw has dropped out of the conversation.

Same here. I hadn't even contemplated this for the last 9 months, but when I saw the thread hanging around the top of the main board today, curiosity got the better of me. I am back and I am invested now. Get it done.

I also found that interesting. Collingwood don't owe these two anything, and in my opinion,neither are decent enough to take up a spot on the list while they serve their ban, even if it is only the rookie list.

We have a handful of young players from picks in Round 2 right through to the rookie draft that are looking quite likely. There is at least a couple of good players out of ANB, Stretch, Harmes, JKH etc. And for me, I think ANB looks the most likely out of that lot.

Varcoe has come from nowhere and had a very good year, I don't think anyone saw Collingwood winning that trade.

Is it time to ask questions about the Lumumba trade? He has been average at best. I like the way he takes the game on, and for that I can forgive the odd time he runs himself into trouble, but he is just not getting anywhere near enough of it for me to be convinced.

Watts' game didn't really concern me in the long run. It was the thing he usually does so well that let him down, and I don't think that will happen too often. IMO, we win that game if our 2 best players even have moderately good games, in Vince and Jones. But to North's credit, they didn't.

I can't really agree. The first quarter concerns me FAR more than the last. We battled in the last and then fell away that 5% after the game became beyond reach, which is semi understandable. But that first quarter was inexcusable.

First quarter killed us. It was pathetic. We consistently get ahead of ourselves after a win.

If we want to win these two have to stand up, otherwise we can forget it.

I would love nothing more than to dump North out of the 8, but I'm yet to see this Melbourne side back up a decent performance, so who knows.
