Echo. Sorry, accidentally copied you and said the same thing. -

I know where you are coming from, and I'm not trying to say Howe was amazing today, but show me a player at Casey who could play near as well as Howe did today? -

Wouldn't it be all so much easier if we could get our hands on the all knowing file that grades all players A through to F, would make recruiting so much easier. -
In - Grimes, Michie or other hardened mid like Newton or Riley Out - JKH, ANB I want a win. Grimes has had a good year apart from injury, and one more hardened body in as well for me.

Is that the old geezer from Happy Gilmore?

Some posters are reasonable in their observations. But others are the same ones who refuse to acknowledge a single positive in a loss. P-Man isn't one of these posters, but it is annoying when certain posters don't seem like they will be happy until we are handing out 10 goal thumpings week in week out.
-
Remember GWS and Port, we led by 5 goals in both those games. If someone said you would scrap out at a 24 point win in either of those games you would take it in a heartbeat. I know Brisbane are rubbish and ideally we would have won by more, but good to see us lock up a lead and win comfortably.

Nothing like Bennell. Bennell had speed and no skills, JKH has skills but doesn't have the speed. His second year hasn't been great, but he has had an injury riddled year, so happy for him to have another year or two and see if he can get going again.
-
My only request is that those who blow up at people taking positives from any of the losses, don't have any complaints today. The black or white crew have to be happy. The rest of us can see we were flawed in the second half today, but adversely, I have seen us play well and lose, and that is footy, especially when you are a poor team on the rise.

Jack Viney is very quickly becoming my favourite player. Keeping Rockliff very quiet, but still doing a lot of his own work in close and getting a bit of the ball. Mark Slobinson might have been on the money when he said Roosy was groomingn another Brett Kirk.

Remember it well as I live in Brisbane so have plenty of Brisbane supporting mates. Frawley absolutely monstered Brown (and anyone he played on that year). We were very very impressive that night.
-
And also because he was being well and truly beaten by Daniher. Over the last 2 months, opposition forwards have continually gotten the better of him, and Dawes has given us nothing up forward, so for me it is a win-win-win drop Dawes, play Fitzpatrick in defence, and play McDonald forward. Who knows how the coaching group see it though.
-
Was at the Brisbane game this evening, and they have us covered in the middle. They are much stronger with Hanley back in. In saying that, their talls are rubbish. I think we play McDonald forward, and let Hogan and McDonald try and work over Merrett. Apart from him, they have very little, and I reckon we might be able to get a hold of them that way.
-
These are my wild and irrelevant requests. OUT: Dawes or McDonald, Stretch, ANB, Harmes IN: Fitzpatrick, Newton, Grimes, Michie Play Fitzpatrick back and play whoever remains of Dawes and McDonald forward (preferably McDonald). There were a couple too many youngsters today. I am impatient and want to win games of footy right now. All of those 3 listed have a future, and they will work there way back into the team when ready. The experienced bodies replacing them (Grimes, Newton, Michie) all have a chance, unlike the likes of Bail, McKenzie or M.Jones. Although, perhaps Harmes can have another week as sub and Michie stays out.
-
Every time they waltzed it out of defence I was waiting for Garlett to mow someone down, or one of the others to at least to apply some pressure, but we got nothing today.
-
Of course the bombing to the loose man was the main issue, but our forwards inability to present, contest, chase was also a part of it.
-
Hurley, Bagguley and Hibberd just intercepted kicks at will. been a far too familiar pattern in many games this year. This loss hurts a lot, that was our game to lose, and we [censored] it. Again.
-
I feel ill watching this. You would think we would be used to it.
-
Well, that will do me. What a pathetic effort in a pathetic game of football.
-
Frustrating half. We seem the better side but keep bombing it due to conditions to where we are outnumbered.
-
Perhaps a left field initiative to get people to go to the game?
-
My main concern with Harmes is that his tatts don't really seem to suit him
-
There is no such thing as a "Morton type" anymore at this level is there? Let's hope not anyway.
-
I am genuinely nervous about today. Essendon, along with North, are the two teams I hate the most. I don't know how I would cope with a loss of any sort.

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 15
Forest Demon replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
We need to demolish them in the middle of the park. Along with Geelong, they are the only 2 teams I can think of we can potentially get the better of in the middle.
