Keep in mind the sample size was small. In effect 6 games before he did his knee early in the game against North.
-
Not sure why the Pies are chasing Frampton. He's got less credits in the bank than his namesake Peter whose only hit was Frampton Comes Alive ... and that was pretty disappointing in itself.
-
Where’s the fast forward button?
-
Thouy, Stanley and maybe Menegola (if he plays) as well!

I think the desire to bring Hird back into the fold at Essendon has led to a case of tone deafness. If they turned up their hearing devices and listened to Zac Merrett's underwhelming response to the possibility of Hird being reappointed it would give them pause for consideration before they pulled that lever.
-
and if you believe Colin Young, Peter Bell told Rory Lobb at the end of the trade period last year that they would organise a trade for him this year and has now backtracked on that. Interesting tactics
-
Well I wouldn't do that deal myself, but it is Alistair Clarkson we're talking about.
-
Only at the moment. They're trading out Logue, Acres and Tucker with a watching brief on Lobb to get what they need for Jackson.

Just thought I'd point out that North don't have a second round pick this year. I've posted the table of draft picks current as of today from Draft Guru below. It will be interesting to see what North offer for Logue & Tucker. We might have different opinions as to what a required player is. He spent most of the year at Casey - he's got one more year to run on a contract on reasonable $ for a guy that's likely again to spend the best part of 2023 kicking the dew off unless there are some significant injuries to key backs - and as @old55 has said the first in line appears to be Dan Turner anyway. I can absolutely see a situation where Tomo requests a trade in his own best interests and I can absolutely see the club agreeing to it if it helps them free up some TPP room.
-
I don't disagree at all, I think he's developed into a solid player at the Dockers, it was more a comment in regards to assessing Tuckers capabilities - if he can't force his way past Aish... not that it matters because he's cleaned his locker out at Freo and it seems like he's headed to Arden Street.
-
He was pushed out of the midfield to play HBF. Problem is they have Hayden Young and Jordan Clark and he can't push either of those guys out. The worry for me is that he couldn't dislodge someone like Aish either.
-
Sorry Luci, while I was replying to you, my comment was in relation to others and not to you... poor forum ettiquette on my behalf. I was quoting the part of your post that indicated the recruiting opportunities that seem to have opened up at Freo with Jackson's imminent arrival. For a side that has made the finals for the first time in a decade they are certainly shaking the tree pretty hard.
-
I don't have any ill will for Jacko. It's an industry and we can't have our cake and eat it too. Others will disagree, but I'd be happy to trade him for Grundy, Meek and Henry.
-
Not this year he isn't according to Fox Sports.
-
Pick 8 will be going to the Bulldogs for Dunkley.
-
You realise he only plays 30% forward in terms of game time? He misses goals he should kick, but he's the best contested mark in the competition.
-
Interesting that GWS are interested when they have Preuss, Flynn and Briggs on their list. Probably not looking good for at least one of the last two named. Seems also to confirm perhaps that West Coast aren't interested in Jackson.
-
GWS has approximately 30k member of which a quarter to a third are based in Canberra. A conservative estimate is that at least a third barrack for another club, (I've also heard it might be as high as half) and have a GWS membership to get into see the footy at Manuka. Undoubtedly this bolsters the crowd attendance in Canberra. When the Swans play GWS here in Canberra the crowd is overwhelmingly Swans supporters. Of the around 20k GWS members that live in Sydney only about 6K actually go to the footy. It took Sydney about 30 years to financially break even up there - GWS are in for a long road. I can't imagine a mini-rebuild of their list in the short term will improve crowd numbers.
-
Misdirected I feel, Sheedy and Choco are two very strong personalities, oil and water. No way Choco gets a call while Sheedy is calling the shots. Choco was the succession plan at GWS, but next minute it's Leon Cameron in the drivers seat and Choco is out on his proverbial. To channel the great Pete Townsend and put words in Choco's mouth "I won't get fooled again!" I can't find the source, but it's out there somewhere that he's no longer interested in being a head coach. edit: To illustrate my point Sportsbet have Choco at 15.00 to coach Essendon and David Teague at 12.00. So Choco is no chance. Hird is favourite at 3.75 and Lyon 4.00 (but I sense that Ross the Boss and Sheeds might not get on).

He'll have his hands full with the Lizard, but he's up for it.
-
Probably the right result. It would have served no purpose to bring up the evidence in a tribunal hearing. Having said that Zorko won't escape punishment - he'll be forever tarnished as a result of his comments and treated accordingly by all opponents that would be well aware of the comments. He'll be treated for the grub that he is. I really like Chris Fagan, and I know he has limited options, but surely Zorko cannot be captain of that club after this season with behaviour like that.
-
They need to have an angle they are reporting on an incident that wasn't related to the Crows or the Power. The fact that it's a national game seems to have escaped their small-town myopia.
-
One of the other things we learnt is that the rumour (nightmare) that Hird will replace Yze as an assistant coach might be over.
-
Well I've got a couple of tips for them: 1. Don't have a drug scandal where 42 of your list and coach are banned from footy for a year. 2. Don't sack your coach (but don't tell them they're sacked) while you chase another coach. 3. Maybe have a conversation with the coach that you are chasing to see if there's any chance of him coming over after he's been courted for four weeks by another club before you telegraph it to the media. 3. Don't have Kevin Sheedy on your board. ... but by all means reappoint James Hird as your coach and maybe get Jobe Watson in as an assistant to help with communication.
