  1. Was yesterday a record for smothers? Unbelievele amount I thought. In: Bail, McKenzie, Cheney Out: Rivers (but I know this probably won't happen), Dunn and Petterd (if injured)
  2. Our next two games are home games, he can get it then.
  3. Deceptively quick could just be read as "looks slow, but is average." Not really much to talk about there.
  4. Mckenzie for Bail I would've gone. I suppose their talls always seem to kill us - that could be the worry.
  5. Is this even a possiblity? When is he out of contract? On the idea alone, I can't see how someone could be all for keeping Aussie and Maric but against Alwyn Davey. Even with his iffy form and body, I'd take him over either of them at this stage.
  6. I agree Jako. I loved his first season but after watching him a little more closely of late (think he played a couple of pre season games?) and last year I've started to worry that I'll always look at his games and think "gee, he's good for a basketballer." Still plenty of time, and a good chance, to prove me wrong however.
  7. Interesting game to watch. Saints no where near their best but still managed to have the game played on their own terms. The Doggies just didn't cope with it.
  8. On the flipside, these memberships are only a few dollars cheaper than the standard entry price to matches (if memory serves). As such, stipulating games it gets you entry into wouldn't be a big selling point for many I wouldn't have thought.
  9. We had a 3 game membership last year and we have a 3 game "Women of Melbourne" membership this year.
  10. We've won 3 in a row, have just belted an undefeated team by 50 points and we've kicked 35 goals (61 scoring shots) in the last 2 rounds. Why bring in a forward who isn't playing well enough at the reserves level to demand a call up?

I call Joel Macdonald Bruce because I swear they spend half the game passing to each other...maybe I should call him "the Old Brad Green'
  12. I don't think you can understate how being second in the league in tackles has helped our game plan to flourish after last year being second last.
  13. As with every other week I'd treat these figures as an indication of membership rather than a 100% accurate figure.
  14. So about half of the MCC members listed as supporters are members (50%). That leaves about 11% of non-MCC members who are supporters signing up (going by the 200,000 melbourne supporters in total figure). I'd say that's the market we need to tap into.
  15. I noticed that too and it confused me, because he was often cutting back onto his right foot.
